Not just how much a club spends during the transfer market but also how competent the coach is to manage the star players gotten during the transfer market determine how far the club will go fo a particular season. To improve his ability yes, he has to be brave to get out of the French 1 League. You're right because it's not very competitive at there, and PSG also have to sell him because it will benefit them, but the rumors are that Real madrid have already found a replacement for Benzema, if I'm not mistaken it's Joselu. He is a sharp and experienced striker although now at 33 years old, but his goalscoring ability is still very high. The conditions are still the same as before and although some time ago there were words that indicated Mbappe wanted to go to Madrid (again) but I still feel that Madrid will wait until his contract at PSG ends given that it is also getting closer and it is likely that this season is not but next season it might still happen.

I think they are going to wait out this Mbappe situation, because if they somehow get him, which I know is "near impossible" levels right now and would be way too expensive and would make them be more like Barcelona and get close to la liga rules, I know it's a tough business, and it is going to suck, BUT if they can then that's league over.

I do not think that anyone in the world would be a matchup for them aside from maybe City, that's it, they will be 1-2 best teams in the entire world, there is not even a discussion, league would be won easily, cup would be won, and UCL would probably be won as well. Other strikers are just discussions, temporary solutions, not a big deal and not really that life changing, but Mbappe would be insane.

Transferring Marco Asensio is something interesting to me because Real Madrid is losing one forward and they lose Benzema too, this can be the reason to say they need to hire more players and which can give more space for Mbappe to join this team.
