StackCoin advertised the same "Cryptsy trader" function in the wallet. It's just photoshopped and a complete scam.

PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED BY FANCY LOOKING WALLETS

Check the recent video in the OP! Hopefully in a couple days we'll be able to put out the demo video for trading/mining (cryptsy/cgminer)

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Was this demo made in Visual Studio 2012/13?  What type of Application, Windows Store App?  Expect to make it work in other OS's?

That's a functioning wallet, right now we're working on the mining/trading tab. Video should be out soon.

Yes, we will be working towards getting this out for linux, mac, and even mobile (android)

Just curious how it was made. Segoe font is the default for all of the Window Store "metro/modern" apps.

Oh alright, we decided to go with a windows 8 style. Very solid, colorful, and clean.

If you can do what you say.
Simply copy the code.
Dont publish source
Make an EdgeCoin Beta Coin with 9zillion worthless coins
and allow everyone to test it.
Give wallet out for the edgecoinbetacoin test.
Problem solved.

Just make a test coin if you are worried about "pre-mine".

Leetpools!

Sounds like a good idea, I'll talk to the others tomorrow, hopefully we can come to some form of closed/open beta or something? Smiley

The probability of this is very high, just have to inform the others, they're sleeping/at work.

Might even extend the initial investor phase if this beta idea goes well!

See you guys tomorrow Smiley

For any new posters/lurkers/investors here are some answers you might be seeking
http://edgecoin.info/invest.html - Investing/Escrow
http://edgecoin.info/faq.html - Launch/IPO

And current video details
Quote
The wallet is still in early beta and there's a lot of things to fix up/optimize - Give feedback so we can perfect this for you!
Videos will be updated to reflect changes/improvements
Sending/Message demo - 3/17/14 - 3/17/14
Trading/Mining demo - Soon

Concerning the potential of an open or closed beta of the wallet, more information will be here in the next 24 hours.
Understand that EDG is not 100% ready to go, the launch is estimated at 1-1.5 months from now and that's assuming
we have a moderately successful investing program.

Sorry, the programmers and other members are generally too busy working to answer questions.
Maybe you can check out the video? Unless you also think that is an edited fake.

OBVIOUS STACKCOIN-LIKE SCAM

I understand the concern, but please, don't litter the thread.

Just trying to keep the investing community down to an experienced group like the majority of people who visit BTCtalk rather than people from FB/Twitter

About the team, we're staying anonymous to honor that very characteristic of cryptocurrencies

So much this. If we could see the face behind all this not just a btctalk account named "Din"... that would be glorious. A real person, someone responsible.

About the team, we're staying anonymous to honor that very characteristic of cryptocurrencies

Awww of course, for the sake of honoring cryptos!! Thats absolutely understandable and not a lame excuse at all.
But I hope you and your 'team' will understand as well that many people will continuing spaming here.
(not me though, I'm gone for good)
