"This time, I haven’t been out of the ring for three years. This time, I haven’t been abusing too much alcohol. And this time, I’m going to knock him the f*** out."

Tyson Fury said the exact same thing for their first fight. He said multiple times that he didn't intend to let the fight go to distance and promised to "knock this bum out."

However, we then saw him fight extremely slow and technical in the fight, pretty much threw no knockout shots and clearly intended to win on points.

Wilder, on the other hand, clearly went in there looking to blow Fury out and almost did it twice.

Fury has been messing around in WWE, fighting nobodies and talking too much trash lately. He might not survive the next fight.

Wilder defends his title beautiful while Fury won when he faces Braun Strowman at the WWE Crown Jewel debut, gosh! This going to be a hell of a fight since they are both in good shape at the moment and they will also want to prove themselves by setting the record straight in other to avoid another controversy.

C'mon you can't count that WWE fight on Fury. After their first fight, he fought Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin so his part of the bargain is done. And then Wilder, Dominic Breazeale and Luis Ortiz. That Braun Strowman 'fight' was just a get busy fight for Tyson Fury and of course to take advantage of his time while waiting for Deontay Wilder.

I'll favoured Deontay Wilder here because of his one punch KO. Yes, Tyson Fury is gifted fighter, but we have seen that his chin can't hold up against Wilder's right hand. And Wilder is like getting into his prime right now and it's just a matter of time before he will catch Fury and knock him out cold for good.

Tyson Fury team is preparing for this fight for long time.
I have no doubt that we will see boxing war and justice will be served.
Fury will win and outbox Wilder with smart tactics, movement and he will get under Wilder skin before fight.
Mark my words.

Both of their last fights have an indication of things to come for their next fight, Wilder is very sharp and very strong and very serious on becoming the one best champion in the heavyweight division, his opponent in his last fight is not a very technical fight, I'm talking about Ortiz, I believe Wilder can knock Fury out if he sees the opening, that's what he needs I'm sure this is what he will be looking for.

Tyson Fury was making a come back after drug and alcohol abuse when they fought the first time and now he will be more focused and ready to fight Wilder but i am not expecting a knockout from Fury but it will go to the judges if both their chins hold up till the final round.

However, we then saw him fight extremely slow and technical in the fight, pretty much threw no knockout shots and clearly intended to win on points.

Fury is having too much fun right now and if he is not focusing on the fight entire that will be the end as Wilder can knock anyone out cold with one shot and Fury needs to be technical and avoiding his shots is the key to his victory.

My pick would be for Tyson Fury to win this rematch. I've seen both fighters multiple times, and I think Wilder has a significant disadvantage in reach and weight. He cannot rush in and start throwing wide punches versus Fury.

When faced with equal but bigger opponents, a smaller boxer should use a better technique to offset the disadvantage. However, Wilder seems to depend only on his sheer power, and Fury will easily neutralize that.

As always, I will go with Tyson Fury, he moves better than Wilder and I think he will do better the 2nd time around.
The first fight was like a robbery as I was really expecting Fury won that fight but since we are not part of the official judge, let's just accept the result.

This rematch  will tell who really won the first fight and Fury will prove that to us.

if you have a poll on who will win between the 2, would be nice so we will know the votes from us here.

Hopefully both fighters stay healthy.

With what Fury said as quoted in the OP, I like the chances of him winning the rematch. A more conditioned fighter is more dangerous.

Good observation, Fury is a very technical fighter, but Wilder is a big puncher and can finish the fight with one punch, as we have seen in his last fight against Ortiz, Fury will try to dominate, but Wilder will try to find an opening it's a battle of who gets the best of the situation.

Wilder is going to be the favorites here, same with the fight number 1, but after the fight number 1, I think a lot of people will bet on Fury in this match.
Those who are interested to see the highlights in first fight, I have it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvfquEqTXGU

I think the OP need to change the thread topic cause it somehow convincing at a point I thought they are fighting already.

Days, weeks, and months ago the rematch was the talk of the town but it was still nothing but a mere rumor, even though very likely happening. What I meant by On in the subject is that the rematch is finally sealed. The contract has been signed already. It is not just a rumor, it is really on track.  Cheesy

if you have a poll on who will win between the 2, would be nice so we will know the votes from us here.

If this is a request and you are referring to me, I would gladly comply. My personal thought is that Fury is gonna lead the poll, though. Let us see, then.

Edit: I thought I could just edit the OP and add a poll. But it seems it is not possible.

Anyone knows how much fighter will earn this time?

I've noticed Fury trash talk too much. This boxer is a no-name, that one is a bum, this one I'm gonna win with eyes closed and etc. (never followed what Wilder say, hope is not so much trash talker ar Tyson). Wish someone shut his mouth with a nice punch.

No punch can shut his big mouth, this is his trademark but he does back it up with achievement look at his achievement, he is a very exciting fighter because of the hype he is creating whenever he has a fight, there's going to be a lot of trash talk when these two held their press conference, and of course both fighters will make good money this time.

For sure. Wilder seems to be able to keep his KO power even into the later rounds, I mean he dropped fury with a last punch in the 11th round in their last fight.

All he really needs to do is catch him flush earlier this time, when he still has even more of his power left. That 11th row knockdown punch probably wasn't even full power, which is why Fury managed to get back up.

Still, I'm sure Fury has the skills to avoid Wilder for 12 rounds, but it is quite possible Wilder will get lucky with an opening and knock him the f*** out.

I'll go for wilder. Not only he has a KO power but he probably learns from their previous fight. But believing that both of them will prepare for this fight, it gonna be an exciting fight to see. Fury might take precautions also to avoid Wilder's KO punch just to finish the 12round fight and has a chance to win otherwise, he ends up early. But considering their fight records, its gonna be very tough for both of them to have TKO.

This should be a 50/50 fight as the first fight ended up as draw, but with the recent win of Wilder, I think he will be a slight favorite in this game, but with that line, we can still get a good value of our bet betting either any of the fighter.

For sure this one is going to be an exciting fight, whether it will end in decision or KO, I just like to see how Fury will make an effort this time around.
Well the first fight was suppose to be for him, but he got known down in fight so maybe that was the one that really helps Wilder.

Wilder To Begin Fury Camp Dec. 31, Workouts Being Reduced

Quote
Deontay Wilder will be back in the ring Feb. 22 against Tyson Fury, thirteen weeks after demolishing Luis Ortiz to retain his WBC heavyweight title.

The turnaround may be a quick one considering the magnitude of the fight, but neither the Alabaman fighter or his trainer, Jay Deas, are concerned.

Deas has circled Dec. 31 as the date to kick off training camp for Wilder’s rematch against the lineal heavyweight champion of the world, the trainer told BoxingScene.com.

A full 12-13 weeks of training for Deontay to prepare for this big fight. I think this is good for his body as the training said that they are going to reduced his training loads. I agree that this will be very huge fight in the boxing community. I'm still 50/50 in this fight, and I'm sure the odds are going to be close in this one, I'll probably look for ML here first and see how I'm going to bet in this fight.

@TopTort777 - according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deontay_Wilder_vs._Tyson_Fury,

Purses

According to the California State Athletic Commission, Wilder had a guaranteed base purse of $4 million and Fury took home a guaranteed purse of $3 million.[21] Despite Frank Warren's original claim that the revenue would be split 50-50, it was revealed that if the fight generated 1 million PPV buys, Wilder could make $14 million (£11 million) and Fury would earn around $10.25 million (£8 million). Both boxers would see this increase to their base purses after receiving their percentages from pay-per-view revenue.[22]

That is during their first fight. So I will assume that because of the magnitude of this rematch, they will received more than or at least double what they got in the first fight.

It should be 50/50, even if Fury is not holding a title, he knows how to generate hype in a fight, even if he is fighting lower class fighters he still stirs excitement into the fight, this fight could still go the other way, if Wilder did not score a knockdowns, that could be an easy win for Fury,
Wilder will take this fight seriously now if he wants to be the greatest fighter of this generation, he must knock out Fury.
