Are there sportsbooks already offering early odds for this fight? I would be betting on the early odds underdog, whoever it may be, maybe Tyson Fury hehehe. It might become close to even odds when fight day arrives.

Wilder – Fury
Nationality: American – British
Age: 34 – 31
Height: 6ft 7 – 6ft 9
Stance: Orthodox – Orthodox
Reach: 83in – 85in
Record: 42-0-1 – 29-0-1
KOs: 41 – 20
Rounds: 143 – 186
Really looking forward for this fight.
We can see a disappointed first lost for their boxing career here.
I do love watching this kind of boxing, especially fighting of two undefeated boxers, it's much exciting and yet intense fight because either of the two boxer will become defeated if the game will not end by draw.
Betting odds is really in favor of Wilder, I will still wait before the fight begins because there's a lot of changes in odds for sure.

My favorite sportbooks do not have odds on this rematch yet. BetOnline.ag, however, has it +105 for Wilder and -125 for Fury. This means that while both of you are expecting Wilder to be the favorite and Fury as the underdog of this fight, it is actually Tyson who is leading in the odds. The numbers are saying that your $100 bet for Wilder will give you a $105 return winning while your $125 bet for Fury will only give you $100 in prize.

Every fight in heavyweight after Klichko fights is interesting. Cant imagine why people pay money to see 12 rounds of "jab-jab-jab-jab-jab-jab-jab-clinch-jab-jab-jab-straight punch: a) KO b) no KO=repeat jab-jab-jab combo"

It's just right, that they have a rematch, the first fight is very exciting but the outcome is not what people expect it to be, people thought Fury won the match because of the earlier domination in the early rounds, but others think Wilder should win the fight, because of the two knockdowns, in the later rounds, the second match will settle it.

I waiting to see how the odds makers will see this fight consider the last fight of Wilder and Fury and how they will come up with the odds, it is really hard to predict this fight as one shot can change everything from Wilder and it was evident from the last fight against Ortiz and it was not even a punch to the jaw and yet he got floored which shows his punching power.

It's too early, we can expect it next year as the fight will happen early next year. \

Fury announced in July that his rematch against Wilder will take place on February 22, 2020.

It’s all being set up for the winner of -

Wilder vs Fury
Ruiz vs Joshua

To face off to unify the heavyweight division.
For sure the winners of these 2 matches will have a high chance to face in the future. Cheesy

I was expecting this to happen already since Wilder won against Ortiz but if Ortiz won on that fight, he will be the one who will face Fury. After the controversial split draw between the two, they have a chance now to settle who is the best in the heavyweight division. I''m excited with this match and I think I will put some bets on it in the future.

If you look at the fight and if you were scoring i saw Wilder loosing all the rounds on points and he was waiting for the right moment to strike and when he went for the killer shot he did not connect in the jaw but got connected in his forehead and eye area and it is not that easy to knock anyone out hitting that area but his power was more than enough to flood Ortiz.
Wilder will be waiting for Tyson to make a mistake and land that heavy hand and that is the beauty of this fight.

It wasn't in the jaw because it wasn't a hook or an uppercut, it was a straight right that landed cleanly on the front face of Ortiz.

Wilder is not a scoring machine type of fighter, mainly because he is not really a volume puncher. Unlike other boxers, he is not a machine gun; he is more of a bomb. Ortiz was the one scoring in both of their fights. This is also the same in his first match against Tyson. Tyson was the one making points while Wilder releases strong bomb of a punch every now and then. The bombs were enough to floor Tyson a couple of times but Tyson's points were also enough to win rounds. That made the fight very exciting to watch. That also caused the confusing and controversial split draw.

In their first match, if Wilder manage to hit more clean shots and work on his jabs maybe the judge's decision would have been different. Right now, I think I would bet on Wilder to win in their rematch of course his camp would make an adjustment on how to hit clean shots on this pesky Tyson Fury which docks and Dodge most of his shots.

I don't remember time when heavyweight category and boxing in general was so interesting.
After the popularity of tyson is gone, I stop watching heavy weight fights.
They are boring to watch but this fight is kinda a great fight, like they showed in their first fight.
I also like Ruiz vs Joshua match up though.

So far I could find some early odds for this fight
could or couldn't? let us know if you find some odds for this fight.

I am truly amazed by the power of Deontay Wilder, he was weight around 209 pounds when he was facing Tyson Fury the first time and the power he has is incredible, he is not the best boxer in the world but he is the heaviest puncher in the world who could knock out any human in the world. Even in Ortiz fight he did not land that punch in the jaw but in his temple and he got him floored which is incredible power to knock someone of Ortiz caliber and that is what interest me in this rematch too.

I really don't think it matters about how much they weigh, sure it's impressive to see a 210lb guy knocking out someone 250lb+

However, there starts to become a point where you get large that you can no longer generate the velocity needed to get those devastating knockouts.

Realistically, the head and jaw of the victim are roughly the same size and weight, regardless what size they are. Therefore, so long as you get a proper headshot, I doubt there is much difference between knocking out a 200lb guy, vs a 300lb one.

George Foreman discusses the punching power of Deontay Wilder

Quote
Then George mentioned these fights: Frazier vs Ellis, Frazier vs Mathis, Ali vs Foreman, Louis vs Schmeling II, and Tyson vs Berbick.

“Those fights had real KOs, of guys they’d never dropped. Louis having been beaten by Max, wins in a KO. Ellis a real champion, with skills. Ali beat an undefeated puncher in Foreman. Frazier beats the house fighter Mathis by KO. Tyson creaming Berbick, the most devastating punch I’ve seen!”

He then pivoted back to the Wilder rematch win over Ortiz. “Guys you’ve kayoed before seem to wait for you to get them again, so no claim to fame to ‘Re-KO.’ I was far from impressed. Now if AJ kayoes Ruiz I’m writing him into greatness. If Ruiz wins, Wilder gets him. I’ll start collecting everything Wilder. King of the world!”

George does give Wilder more props. “Now, for me there has not so far been any better display of pure punching power, in the heavyweight division,” he said of Wilder’s overall power pack. “Norton (in 1973) and Frazier (‘73 and ‘76) were both up when the fight was over. So not pure KOs.”

https://www.badlefthook.com/2019/11/27/20985190/george-foreman-discusses-punching-power-deontay-wilder

Anyways, we all admit that Wilder has power, it's just a question if he can hit Fury again in the rematch that Tyson won't get up.

It for sure that they work on it otherwise, Fury will dominate the fight and put ends Wilder. Many say that this will be an intense fight and really it was knowing the fact that this might affect their boxing career. Both of them don't have losses, that is what they are protecting for and to sustain the record is really challenging. And  I expecting more big shot coming from Wilder this time the same thing he does in the previous fight.

The rematch would be more intense than their first meeting. Fury utilizes his jabs while Wilder rely on his power punches but if the fight goes on and nobody got knocked down, it would be Fury to win their second outing.

For sure, fury has to follow the style of Mayweather who will prefer to score in points than to knock down an opponent, I think Fury can do that as he is faster, has a good forwork and head movement and he is winning in the scoring in their first fight, so he can surely do that again .
We don't really know the adjustment both fighters are doing but one thing I observed, Wilder is more vulnerable to losing these days.

A little update here.

From the mouth of Bob Arum himself, the fight on the 22nd of February is already set in stone.

"Asked if the rematch may not happen on February 22, Arum responded: 'No. That’s pretty good. That’s in stone.'"

And the venue is also set in stone.

"And he confirmed MGM Grand in Las Vegas is the likely host, adding: 'That’s also sort of in stone.'"

The two giant networks, ESPN and FOX, are going to be involved in the promotion of this fight. The coming official announcement of this bout, Arum added, will not be a normal one, "'It is not going to be a normal announcement, it will be like a circus.'"
