The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Hey guys,

Anyone tried to use an SP20 blade on a SP20E controller ?

I'm having a full Test Serial Problem on all ASIC.

Anyone know if there could be a compatibility problem ?

Thanks

OH well that is nice to hear dude ,i guess u should make a new thread for the people who are interested in mining and are not sure which way to go ,you can point out the pros and cons straight away and also give some information about ROI's etc. that would really help the new ones. Wink

BTCS Gains Traction in its Transaction Verification Business
[...]
The Company’s pending merger with Spondoolies-Tech is expected to further accelerate growth of BTCS’ transaction verification services. The addition of Spondoolies’ third-generation Application Specific Integrated Circuit (“ASIC”) servers, which are anticipated to provide a 3x-5x efficiency improvement, should significantly increase the Company’s hashing power and improve operating margins. The implementation of third-generation servers at the Company’s North Carolina facility is expected to yield a hash rate of between 13,000 and 29,000 Th/s (trillion calculations per second). BTCS averaged a hash rate of 891 TH/s during the first half of 2015.

Interesting that in that press release, unless I'm just not seeing it, the words "Bitcoin" and "Mining" don't appear anywhere in it.  Instead they use "Transaction Verification Services" and "Hashing" as the only words that describe what they are doing.

Yeah, I think there's either a press blurb or an interview somewhere that explains the reasoning for it, would have been around may/june, shortly after they put out their bit about hooking up with Spondoolies-Tech; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521520.msg11412144#msg11412144

iirc, came down to them feeling it more accurately describes what they're doing, although I'd imagine somebody with a 'marcom' itch had something to do with it as well Smiley

I wonder if they take visitors.. I should be in that area in ~2 months

Most of the big companies switched to that last year, 21 inc, Bitfury etc will all say transaction verification. It helps investors understand why we're burning millions of KWh's and why they should give us money to continue doing so.

the company that is ashamed to mention the word bitcoin (that's what they are verifying) is bound to not have any success in this endeavor.
they also assume that there will be transactions to verify.
the whole thing is in state of implosion, it seems...sometimes even before that there will be not that many transactions as people might soon stop doing much of transactions on the bitcoin blockchain.

Hi,

I have SP31 and it doesn't show any IP address and I think the controller board died.
Down side is "NO MORE WARRANTY", is there someone here that can help me or sell me a working control board.

Thanks & Best Regards,

Positive spin version:
"We had 2,000% revenue growth. We went from $45,000 in revenue to $145,000 in revenue [quarter over quarter]. We're seeing tremendous growth on the transaction verification services side."
[...]
Allen cited the fact that BTCS is now spending $109 on average to mine 1 BTC

Negative spin version:
[BTCS] reported a net loss of $4.59m for the first half of 2015 in its 10-Q filing with the SEC. The loss represented an increase over the roughly $4m loss incurred over the same period in 2014.
[...]
BTCS indicated that it "expects to incur losses into the foreseeable future".

Or their negative 1.5M balance sheet. Time to call the lawyers.
