I have read roughly through the thread and I saw many say it's NXT code based. I won't risk till I know that is not true, it's common sense.
Qora has had voting for a while; Nxt still doesn't have voting in its core. Nxt has had an Asset Exchange for a while, Qora only just got its AE, and it has significantly different features (eg trading asset for asset rather than asset for coin). Nxt and Qora are now different enough that we shouldn't worry if some of the code used to be the same. Don't forgot Jean-Luc(NXT's core dev)'s comment which hint qora may develop from NXT's early version. I don't believe this at the beginning, but as Qora dev always avoid to talk anything about the code and ignore any request to open the source code. I gradually think it may be true. He said that qora probably took some ideas from one of early versions but made absolutely new implementation. Since Qora had name service with trading right from the start, voting system soon after and different ae now it doesn't matter if qora used nxt ideas. Qora is the most advanced system at the moment although Nxt has been launched 7 months before Qora. I remenber he said qora definitely borrow some ideas from NXT. And it may be developed from NXT's early version. I don't think he has any reasons to still keep the source code closed. Without the source code review, we can't tell the protocol is good or not. I'm not technical but he hasn't seen the source code, he has seen the 'decompiled' code right? Plus he could definitely be wrong, plus he is a NXT guy who wouldn't be rushing to say its a new code either. Open code will come and then we shall see. I predict some great 'discussions' with the NXT guys for sure.

Regardless of features released, Qora will continue to struggle with sinking marketcap as long as it's closed source. No one is going to waste time with a coin developed by one guy with no ability for 3rd parties to contribute additional features. Hence, there is no community here, just a couple holders talking about how great Qora will be with the next feature. Look what Asset Exchange did for Qora, nothing. This coin is as good as dead.

Its being killed.....Its not dead. I'll be honest with you though I have been shaking my head at the community decisions made on Qora for months now. I have no understanding of the direction this coin has taken when it had so much potential. Like I said all I can do is shake my head. I hope this change and people wise us but I fear we are at the eleventh hour in terms of reputation. It was clear how Qora should of proceeded. First do the AE which would of come hot on the heels of NXT's and then the wallet, the rest could of waited. I voted this way but people were fools and wanted to keep the source closed and work on secondary features not understanding that timing was essential. Opening Source should of been clearly set ie in 3 months etc. Clones like Kora were actually giving needed PR and attention. The mistakes made on this coin literally made me open my mouth in disbelief. Qora has now lost out under a flood of second gen coins, no one cares if your code is new unlike early in the year when it was still a novelty and selling point....we wont get that buzz back. Sorry but that's the truth, I warned and warned and warned again but no one wanted to listen.

It's a pity you have to be registered on the qora forum before you made your giveaway announcement to be entitled to claim the giveaway.

Ok, ill try again:
Hi, how does Staking actually working with QORA? I never minted anything with staking ( wallet is unlocked )
Or isn´t that a Proof of Stake Coin ( if not i´m not interested anyway )

I am interested, too, in the answer for this question! Can, please, somebody explain a little bit!

You can mining with a locked wallet, but you need to unlocked it first, just 1 second, and then locked the wallet

A coin like Qora simply cannot fail.
The dev is dedicated and constantly working on this, having proved his skills in so many ways.
After the wallet update and GUI embellishment, the serious marketing can start.

Do you guys like the "everything is sell order" AE philosophy? When you are buying 1 share for 250 Qora, you have to sell Qora for 0,004 price. It took me some time to understand it and I am still not very comfortable with it. And not divisible assets have serious problem with rounding, so in fact they are not tradeable now.

Obviously the rounding issue will need to be resolved but the "everything is sell order" is PURE GENIUS just like "Open pair". open pair is great, but srsly when share costs say 937 qora, you have to open calculator and make 1/937 calculation to know what selling price of Qora (0.00106723) enter in the form...this is pure genius?

Well... I don't have much further to say when I'm here talking about PURE GENIUS (in regard to how the Qora AE is coded and its capabilities) and your concern is whether a user will have to perform a 1st grade maths calculation or not... I sincerely hope it is gonna be reworked and automatically filled forms by clicking will be added. Most of the users won't bother with exchange where you have to enter selling price and selling amount to get the amount you are buying and the buying price. Qora is great developer, but you can't develop 2nd gen platform alone. The AE is good example. Failed launch, bugs...

Anyone know if Bter, or the block explorer are on a fork? Just went to the block explorer to see something, and my account is empty. I thought I might have been hacked, but the block explorer isn't showing a few deposits I made from BTER, after I transferred some money to them.
Either the block explorer is wrong, or BTER needs to credit my account because the outgoing transaction occurred on a fork.
Could someone please verify the state of the block explorer? Thank you.

A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011: "I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00. Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/" ...sigh. If only I knew.

Wait a sec... the block explorer shows that your wallet address is empty and that the Bter deposit address (before the funds are moved to the Bter holding address) never received the QORA? The block explorer is synced... contact Bter Support and have them complete the deposits. It could be BTER, but this is what happened, before the launch of the AE, I sent my funds to Bter (practically all of them.). I traded around a bit, made some profits, and then sent my funds back to my account. Bter is reporting the withdrawals (over 75m QORA) but the block explorer has no recollection of me receiving those funds OR the transactions being published. So, I guess my bter withdrawals could have been orphaned, but I swear I thought I saw this balance appear on my account, in my wallet. FYI, I'm not at my home, which is where my wallet is located, so I can't verify my balance. I will say, I have downloaded the Qora client and resynced at least 3 times since the launch of AE. Everything has appeared to work smoothly, however, I've yet to be able to forge a block since the v.16. Previously, with a balance of 74m qora, I was hitting more than 15 blocks a day. Now, nothing. I guess if I'm getting a balance in my wallet, and Bter is reporting a successful withdrawal, we could both be on the see fork. I'll have to double-check before I make any major claims, but this could suck. Could someone verify. Within the past week, have you sent or received funds from bter? Follow-up, if your balance is large enough, have you forged a block?

There was a hard fork, 9 days have been lost...9/17-9/26 I think. I am solving this with Bter too and so do others.

Resynced a couple of times but its still missing. Same for Boutys and forged blocks. 8 or 9 days got whiped out completly. bter only closes my support tickets after a while.
