I believe the dev had mentioned that he wanted to implement anonymous feature first using coinjoin method (it's fine, but I wish we can have something like dark wallet for qora  Smiley).

However, I think the next feature we really need is cross blockchain trading.

Do we need to vote on this?

Sorry QCNext i know you need some rest but

Possible Features
1)   Anonymous transactions/Zerocoin: One of the biggest problems of Bitcoin is of course that every transaction is traceable. Currently Zerocoin is the most promising project which is trying to solve that problem in a decentralized way.
2)   Cross Blockchain trading.
3)   Finite Blockchain/Blockchain shrinking.

Is it still previous?
It will be so great to implant Zerocoin

Question about BTC transaction.
I transferred 0.7326 btc 2 hours ago (TxID 01b8e09f9d921d0a21c5e56b5664a85037e1cdc56f5ae769b04f6f755856e37f)
https://blockchain.info/tx/01b8e09f9d921d0a21c5e56b5664a85037e1cdc56f5ae769b04f6f755856e37f
But it is still 0 confirmation.
Does this mean the transaction failed, and will never be processed?

Sent without fees, may never be processed and will expire.

It'll be confirmed within 6 blocks as it says. It usually takes longer when fee is lower than regular 0.0001 (0.00001?). I don't remember.

That is weird, I didn't reset the fee, isn't it 0.0001 by default?
Ok, I will wait longer.

What wallet did you use?

NextGenCoin,

I'm in total agreement with you on this. The dev should postpone releasing the source for at least 6 - 12 months. The next step we need to take is "Qora Code Review" by independent 3rd-party devs. And I've got a few words to say about this.

I'm wondering if we can get/hire a panel of devs for the code review, the panelists should fit the following profiles:

1. Programmers who are well known in academia or research community (I'm thinking of those Johns Hopkins guys who were working on ZeroCoin project, or professors of well known schools in the USA).
2. Programmers or devs who have connection to media.
3. Devs who might be interested in working for/on Qora (remember we need devs for lightweight mobile clients).
4. Devs who are just famous or well known in the bitcoin/cryptocurrency community.

Those should be the only candidates.

Is Qora an open sourced project?
and when will the source code be released?

Not yet.
Not yet decided. The community will make the decision based on the situation. Nobody wants early clones.

I think open source as a marketing tool is essential. Without a code review people worry about how safe their money is.

Yeah, but BCNext has his own way Smiley
I believe nobody wants to publish source too fast. It's better to wait till Qora is well known enough so clones won't hurt it.

Agree,I dont want to see tons of suck coins, open source must to do,but it is not the time

I would go further and suggest the community votes for the code to be checked over by a number of trusted third parties. Open source made sense in the Bitcoin era but not anymore. Blindly doing something because it is the 'done thing' is not smart. The fact is the only people who want the source and will be complaining on here that its not released are those hoping to make a quick clone.

Sensible people will vote for a new way of doing things. We need experts to look at the code not cloners...

At the very least an expert check when the coin has gained some maturity and then a health long gap to opensource. I'm talking a year or more.

Thanks, I just edited it.
What is weird is that my transactions before all go with 0.0001btc fee, and I never reset fee.
As to this specific transaction (occurred 3 hrs ago), will it never be processed? how long will I have to wait to confirm this?

Can you try to restart your bitcoin core client? This may clear the transaction from bitcoin core memory. Don't resend it until it's expired, or it may still go through twice.

Good you agree. But I think you idea is a little bit grand. There are plenty of trusted talented coders here on this forum. Some involved with NXT development would be good.

I have an idea about how to publish source code and secure investors.
Just do it with lateness of 6 month snapshots.

So after 6 month we will publish only Qora v1. And by this time we probably would use Qora v16. After 12 mounth we publish next source code snapshot - Qora v16, and by this time we would on Qora v33.

That means that the newest features and bug fixes are always in Qora first  Wink.

They'll not add Qora just because a couple of guys asked for that. We'll just have their attention and by the time they're ready we already have a stable client and network.

This should be obvious to everyone --

Case in point - NXTL and NAS are both NXT clones!

Answer me this - Do they add to NXT's value or simply take away NXT's market share???

I believe the later is the truth (Just take a look at coinmarketcap and see how NXT is performing lately)

So I'm curious how anyone in his or her right mind would advocate releasing the source early (if at all)??

To nextgencoin,

There is an advantage in hiring or paying for people who are not anonymous!

We will gain credibility and get good publicity instantly!

Of course we can find good devs here on Bitcointalk.. but the problem is that most of them would choose to remain anonymous and not publish their real names...

With real people, we will gain mainstream recognition. And that is a BIG plus in my opinion.  Smiley

I'd like to elaborate further --

The purpose of a Qora Code Review is 3-fold:

1. Gain mainstream recognition and obtain great publicity (it'll be great if we can get someone with media connection).  That's why I'm against having anonymous devs reviewing the code.

2. Recruiting potential candidates to join Qora dev team. Please remember that we need to expand the dev team eventually (to work on mobile app and a new GUI.. so forth). By showing the QORA code to them, we will be able to gain their support, and screen potential candidate (they will provide a critique of existing code and tell us how they will contribute).

3. Earn Investor's Trust & Confidence -- Price will SHOOT up if we can find devs with recognizable names to review the code.

Good you agree. But I think you idea is a little bit grand. There are plenty of trusted talented coders here on this forum. Some involved with NXT development would be good.
