Will Ethereum be taking 1st place in 2020?

Does anyone believe that ETH can outrun Bitcoin and take first place this year, I don't think so, especially since even in all the time, I don't think anyone can outrun Bitcoin!

maybe for what you say is very true and I totally agree that. perhaps it can be said that it is no longer realistic if ethereum can bypass bitcoin. we know that until now bitcoin is still a reference to increase the price movements of all existing altcoins. so it's not relevant to have to ask like that.

 can you share it here to me  ?  im still curious to know that 5 reasons  . are these 5 reasons so good that it can lead to dethroning other coins .  also i have been seeing many threads in regards to eth saying good stuffs too and predictions  so maybe eth really got the potential to take the 1st spot because btc and other top coins are also performing bad lately  .

Well that will never happen, I don't think ethereum will take the no. 1 position because bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency and bitcoin is really hard to beat. There is no altcoins can beat bitcoin even Ethereum and it will stay no. 2 position but it is the king of the altcoins and also good investment.

The majority of people don't believe it or at least there are only a few of them who were beliving on this opinion. Ethereum needs a golden time again to outrun Bitcoin and the fact that the bitcoin domination has already absolute and it can't be replaced by anytime. Bitcoin is the mother of all cryptos.

yes when it comes to ranking on the market capitalization but for us cryptopeeps we both know that ethereum is the best asset in our portfolio now because of its current developments lined up and to add, last bullrun eth is more profitable than bitcoin because the investment is cheaper but the gain is higher than btc.

i dont think ethereum can dethrown bitcoin on the top place on coinmarketcap. As for me bitcoin will always be the top coin today and even on the days that will come.

yes I think that ETH has good opportunity to rise in the time and became the number 1, maybe not in the 2020/2021 but in 5 year it's possible, also because there are many projects and developers that are working on it.

Ethereum is a good coin but it will not take the 1st place this year because many people support bitcoin and it will still remain the number 1 cryptos. Bitcoin is now 11 years and no altcoins can take over.

Of course not, there was a time in which ETH got really close to the market cap of bitcoin but that was when everyone was deeply interested in icos and most of them used the ethereum network to release their projects, but then many other projects similar to ETH appeared and several other forms of raising funds appeared and since then ieos have replaced icos as the favourite way to raise funds, so it is unlikely ETH is ever going to threaten bitcoin to take away its position as the leader of the market.

In other words, no alts will replace bitcoin this year or for the next coming years. It will be years in the making before a coin can replace the popularity of bitcoin. So even if eth has good development, I don't think it will ever replace btc. Maybe in the future, as everything is possible but not now. Also, even if there are alts who are trying to replace bitcoin in terms of its performance, which a lot of projects had already tried before, they will find the toughest challenge of getting users on board.

I think the better of way of saying it is, is Ethereum will remain the second spot? As you know, no one can replace Bitcoin when it comes to the number one spot, it was already discussed on different threads that there are a lot of altcoins who are better than BTC but will not replace the original, I hope this makes sense.

I agree with the colleague's opinion above that it is difficult to be able to replace Bitcoin to remain a sought after and most targeted coin to be the main investment. It is true that all altcoins are dependent on growth rather than bitcoins, that dependence is very much apparent. but I still believe that ethereum is still the best altcoin and there is no altcoin which until now is very prominent to be able to replace ethereum.

Until now, ETH is still having many problems, ETH needs to do more to ensure safety in the No. 2 position in this market. If ETH still has no new updates this year, I believe it will be surpassed by XLM or BNB. And certainly ETH will not be able to overcome Bitcoin and occupy the No. 1 position in this market

At present, there is no crypto better than Bitcoin. honestly, I have seen many altcoins trying for it, such as ethereum, BCH, BSV, XRP, and others, but until now, in terms of price, even needs, bitcoin is still in the top position.
