Not all athletes do have a good immune system, also had a good immunity to disease, some of them are just fond of using steroids to get their body strengthened to play on various games. These people are more prone to disease from what I see, because they overwork themselves too much, during play, practices and exercise. Exercising our body is definitely good for us but for these athletes they're more likely to be a work for them.
So instead of a boost, well as they been trying to accomplish something through expanding their limits, they get weakened.

Maybe only those that are focused on online business won't have huge issues, but what about those that have physical "stores" . It is quite common here in Europe to have huge amount of physical places where we do sport betting. Okay, I think you are misunderstood.

Not all of the esports events are done online. We have this type of tournaments, LAN and online. Obviously LAN tournaments are those events where these pro players go to a country where the LAN tournament will be held. LOL, Dota2, CSGO, and other esports (from fighting games, such as Tekken and Smash Bros) usually the events held from Majors to Minors are held on LAN. Online is also a thing but these days, events online are usually for qualifiers. Those teams that will win the online qualifiers will be going to the Group stages which is popularly done on LAN. Because of the pandemic, a lot of LAN events are postponed, delayed and cancelled, (most of them are Majors and Minors) that is why I said that they might lose the chance to bet on it and also because the tournaments that are still ongoing are halfway through.

Speaking of an online tournament, Dota2 has its WeSave! Charity Play now ongoing, I don't know if people can bet on it since it is just a charity match.

I am not a sports bettor but I think there is no alternatives for them right now.
They could always try out other gambling like dice or other types of online gambling games.
If they want to seek some skill gambling then go with poker and card games.

That's a very clear explanation, I get your point, I realize that most of the tournaments are done through LAN so that means they are not allowed anymore under a more strict policy of lock down, and we are left with less interesting games to bet on if in case it's still available.

It is a disaster for those people who often bet in sports gambling. I also betting in sports sometimes but right now most of the sports around the world are forced to stop because of the pandemic which is the corona virus. The basketball association in my country which is I usually betting is also forced stop by our government because of the implementation of the community quarantine. But I know that there are many more choices out there other than sports gambling. I will transfer my funds in dice games or other gambling which requires luck and skills.

 People might be overreacting here, I am sure that not having sports to wager on is a sad thing and it is definitely upsetting, however if you look at it this way you will feel better; you get to keep your money. In short, Gambling is not effected by Corona virus but if you normally bets on matches, then you will not find much to bet these days. Other than this, gambling games like dice, poker etc have no effect and you can keep on playing them as long as you prefer to play online.
