Regarding the testnet4 mining, I think it would be better to discuss it in a different topic, I created one here, if CK wants to keep the discussion in his thread, fine by me -- I will lock the other topic.

FYI - The certification processes at Nicehash are getting more and more complicated. KYC with proof of address / income / photo / etc. which makes me stop using Nicehash from now on, so there will probably be no more block parties.

so do not send any more BTC to our old nicehash groupbuy wallet! I'm not able to refound if the account is restricted.

Sad. Don't you want to try with MiningRigRentals? I guess it's because it's too expensive right?

In all cases it's good to avoid Nicehash, they seem to have totally lost the right direction of doing business, they even charge their users for having an inactive account now...  Roll Eyes

I tried setting up a nicehash account, only for them to reject it because I'm in the UK. They could have told me that at the beginning of the sign-up process but instead chose to waste 3 days of my time and countless emails. I was not impressed.

If they're now demanding proof of identity and other documentation it makes it even less attractive. I can't see why they'd need proof of income, that's a major invasion of privacy.

MRR is not cheap by any means, but it does seem to work.

On the handful of occasions I've used MRR, its worked OK. Although their dashboard does complain about "too low difficulty" when pointed at CKPool. They suggest adding d=1000000 to the password string but it makes no difference. I think CKPool automatically adjusts difficulty anyway as the message goes away after a while.

It'd be sad to see the block party dissapear.

That is understandable for both parties. The US is requiring strict KYC and can understand how you don't want the responsibilities to try and account for it to the government.

Thank Willie for the past block parties

Huh, well this is extremely disappointing news. Nonetheless a big thank you to Willi for coordinating many past runs and for keeping us informed with this update.

Always thought I'd be part of a successful BlockParty, but so far it hasn't been the case. Personally I hope things change either w/MRR pricing or NH not being idiots (despite normally being an optimist, I'm certainly not holding my breath). If things do change however, I'm in for another run for what it's worth.

Lastly, the pool has been stuck at 48T hours since the day of the latest block and we're collectively now at nearly 84%. Good luck everyone! At the very least let's get that Best Share up before next Difficulty adjustment (currently 25 blocks away from next adjustment, est to go +6.12% as of now) if not an actual block! It ain't gonna get any easier shortly, after the Difficulty is adjusted to > 100T.

Once again thanks Willi and good luck everyone!!

That's sad to hear hear Willi, because you've been doing this successfully for so long. Long before I joined here. As some may remember, I also organized a solo mining group called “citb0in block solvers”. If anyone is interested, just click on my signature and get in touch. Maybe we can organize a run or two on a regular basis. I run via MRR and it has always gone smoothly in the previous runs. So just let me know in the citb0in Solo-Mining Group]Block Solvers Thread if you are interested, I would be happy.

Regards
citb0in

101.65T is the new Difficulty, up over 6%. Yikes!

Keep in mind over the past twelve months CK Solo Pool has found 15 Blocks. 13 of these 15 were found with >102T and thus would still be a Block today.

I found a bunch of blocks and I didn't win anything, is that really how it is? I even found nonce and no money, and I don't understand any of this. Smiley

I am KYC'd with them.

But there are a shit ton of complex laws for me in the USA.

Trump won if he eases a few rules I could do it.

My issue is USA law right now would force me to report the entire block as my income and I would need to kyc every payout over 600 usd. Which puts me dead in the water. To take over.

If Trump was to change rules a bit maybe I can take over.

What kind of blocks did you find and where were they?

Block
A block is a file that contains encrypted transaction information from previous blocks and new transactions. Blocks are identified by long numbers. A network must verify blocks and the information within them before new blocks can be created.

Share
A share is a potential solution to a block. For example, if a block solution is a number with 10 zeros, a share might be a number with 5 zeros. The difficulty of finding the correct hash to create a new block is called the share difficulty.

Hi philipma1957 I will vouch as we solo mined the 2 of us at first then let more join. We found a couple blocks and always paid out. ( I am in your trust from back then)

edit: Gosh i just checked your trust and I sent you 3.5 BTC for my 50% share to mine  Shocked (in 2015)

yeah and you got back 10 btc cause we hit two blocks in an hour.

I had 50 coins of which I had to pay out 45 of them.

I think it was 200 a coin so it was 10000 in btc it would now be 3,700,000 million.

.. yes! or an older S19 100T Wink

101% total pool luck came quick but we've been stuck at 48T best share since less than 5% pool luck - at the very least let's see that Best Share move (ideally reset back to zero after a Block!)

LFG! Good luck everyone!

I have successfully used MRR to rent hashrate here with the following config:

Pool Host:Port=solo.ckpool.org:4334
Workername=YourBTCWalletAddress.workername
Password=x [or whatever, it doesn't matter but above I'm using Hi Diff Port 4334 not 3333]

Good luck!
