OG and Aster lead their respective groups with 7-1, and as you said, Secret seats at 6-2. They are secure with the upper bracket.

Both are secured. While there's only one match left for each team. I think we can conclude that the bottom 2 for each bracket will get to be eliminated whether they win or not their matches. I'm looking at the stats of the bottom 2 for both brackets and if I calculated their points correctly, they will be short of points whether they win or not the series. Or, some can still manage to get out of it unless they win 2 straight games. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd like to start my words with congratulating Eternal Fire first.

I like their logo anyway especially in Glitter.   I hope they keep on making more nice stickers :p   not the basis for a sound bet, I dont feel I know them well enough I know theres talent but  one I have to watch mostly for teamwork etc.

In 1 hour Mythic plays, a stream team and again they can be high quality but Im not sure how seriously they take the game.  They will be streaming it for their fans though so its a win either way for them.   I'd guess on the enemy team who are mostly Brazilians but I dont know them, apparently a bit higher rank.

Btw, as this ESL starts, have you seen the first outcomes of it on the bracket A? I just find it amazing and funny.

Group A is kinda one sided and full of sweep matches. Aster, Entity, and Secret are establishing their dominance over their group. It is exciting to see which of these three will drop their first game tomorrow.

Group B is more balance with having OG as the only team getting a sweep.

Day 2 ended.

Last day tomorrow for the 3rd day of the group stages. It's visible now on who are the teams that shall get in to the play offs and who are the teams that are about to be out.

OG never disappoints during the group stages but let's see if they're going to be consistent in the play offs. And the same vibe is giving me for Team Aster.

Team Secret is at a securing place and I'd love to see them go further. Because it's a long time I guess since I've seen them at the top of the rankings on a tournament.

Those are some nice odds, in other crypto bookies it moved down to 1.53 and i'm going with the same pick since there's not much value on the over 3.5 after LNG got 3-0'd the other day.

They're not secured just yet as there's one series left on the final day, I think it's unlikely going to happen but there's still a scenario for Aster and Secret to not make it in the upper bracket(if Entity goes 2-0 and Secret ends with a draw).

Eternal fire showed the desired performance in the 3rd rmr qualifier and qualified for the main qualifier as 1st. The final match against the other Turkish team sangal was a good practice match for both Turkish teams. Both Turkish teams will participate in the major qualifiers together, just like in the last major tournament. I hope for good results.

Group B was very very tough compared to Group A. I'm glad Fnatic still managed to gain a slot in the upper bracket. As the hosting region, it is the only team from SEA that remained alive. So I am really hoping they can score an upset over Aster.

So right. Group B was an infernal one with so many good teams that deserved a spot to move towards play-offs but sometimes , the Dota you're playing is not in fit with the patch that just hit the servers yesterday so teams like Liquid are still playing in comfortable zone with Razor,KOTL etc when on the other side , teams who were prepared for the patch already picking new heroes in order to play the meta.

Team Boom most likely are go out and with Liquid must be the same but Liquid is having a rough time since last winter so I don't know what is going on with them...as they seems they were not prepared at all with this new patch and this major.


Secret might take down OG in this best of 3 as they are much better in this patch as Nisha is having a very big hero pool now.

The remaining teams for the playoffs were already set. Currently, at the top bracket. Fnatic against Team Aster is already 1-0 in favor of Aster and OG against Team Secret 1-0 in favor of OG.

That usually happens in tournaments, a 1v1, 5v5 or anything depending on the organizer. It's not a big deal that Armel won against Sumail with that 1v1.

It's just like a pride and a fun game to watch but nothing really is connected with it for the points system. Well, Fnatic fell to the lower bracket for the play offs as they've lost against Aster.

Damn. Nisha did a lot of magic tricks with his kills and escapes in the first 2 maps using Void Spirit and Templar Assasin. I haven't watched the 3rd map because I was unlucky with my bets earlier when I'm watching their games.

And it's done. Team Secret and Aster won 2-1 and they will move forward already securing a minimum 3rd place for them. All the teams I was rooting, they lost. OG is still favored to beat Nigma or TA but Fnatic will be facing the winner of 2 tough teams Entity and TSM.

It was a very fun game. And it was actually a tie-breaker between Fnatic and Nigma. Sumail could have won that game if he was more patient due to his regen advantage.

Blast Premier matches are on again.

Today the biggest match is clearly G2 - BIG. Both of these teams had unsatisfying results in the group stage and this is the last chance for them. The loser of this round is out of the tournament completely. G2 have taken a step and changed two of their players in their main roster. They still need time to have a solid chemistry of course. BIG are more stable when it comes to making changes. Krimbo is the only change and it's been a long time since then. BIG are a more prepared team in terms of strategies also.

I think that BIG can benefit from G2's current condition and eliminate them. But as for a score prediction, I'm favouring a 2-1 BIG victory.

i agree this could go to BIG.
G2 to win @1.7 is such poor value, they haven't showed us anything that makes us think this match is winnable, it's quite the opposite actually they were total garbage in the group stage. BIG @2 is good value, though,, individually they're not as good as G2, but as a team i believe BIG looked much better in the previous stage

anyhow, watching EG - NIP right now. I have EG @8 odds waiting to see if i can cashout some good profits from the 500casino promo, but i already covered that ticket thanks to EG's stomp in map 2

NaVi coach B1AD3 is pointing out that headtr1ck is still not ready to play at top tier level. It was his first time with the main team so I find it normal. s1mple is still not here so they had to find a replacement for him temporarily. s1mple is expected to play for his team Saturday. But I must admit that NaVi still did a great job by finishing their group as the winner in the absence of s1mple. The loss against Complexity scared me first but they recovered quickly later.

I think that this is a good proof showing how strong NaVi are able to play even when they play without their best player.

It seems like the old gods of Dota 2 is now returning to the scene and crushing the new bloods in a somewhat convincing fashion. Resolution is a pretty technical player even way back (Team Empire), that it's not really surprising for him to still play at the top along with the top teams of this era. Tough luck for OG though, but even if they blow this tournament or win some places, it still wouldn't matter because at this point, it's better for them to gain knowledge and save strats rather than give their all on the road to the International.

I hope somebody listened yesterday when I said that playing outsiders to take a map is great bet on this new patch. Got correct all my DOTA tickets and this makes it over 90% correct picks for me in last 2 big DOTA tournaments. If only I wasn't an idiot and knew when to stop Played a bunch of tickets with tennis and soccer later on and lost almost everything. Just kept 10 mBTC for those same +1.5 underdog bets tomorrow.

I got both over 2.5 games for tomorrow lower bracket games and a single ticket on TSM to win because the odds for TSM to win against Entity tomorrow is pretty high though

It looks like we believed in BIG's team performance too much.    I'm very surprised to see that G2 won by 2-0.

They won 16-8 and 16-7 on Vertigo and Dust2 respectively. These are very easy victories for G2 so there must be something really wrong with BIG now. I don't know how their performance can drop this much after having a great time period. I remember the match that they defeated FaZe in a big tournament which they were playing very good as a team. XANTARES was always talking about how much disciplined team BIG were about preparing various strategies for each one of their opponents. But now things are broken for them.

I'm just happy to see Team Secret on shape and maybe on this one they'll win and reach the finals. For OG, if Nigma will win against TA then that will be hard for them on that bracket.

But if TA wins against Nigma, I guess that OG has already planned on how to beat them. I am not saying that TA is a weak team, it's just that they're likely a predictable team for them. Anyway, a few hours from now, 2 teams will be eliminated again.

As for Boom Esports, that's a lot of months that they've been busy with tournaments so their early exit is totally fine so they can prepare early for TI.
