I also didn't see that grand finals sweep coming from the side of BetBoom, I knew they might come out on top against Navi since they're gaining a bit of momentum heading into the lower bracket final while Navi got crushed 2-0. Luckily the series started a bit earlier so I wasn't able to place a bet and already saw Outsiders about to go down 0-2.

The CN Qualifiers will start later and i'm looking forward to the IG vs XG series since both teams look good in the last tour, VG and Aster Aries is another close matchup but there's a bit of roster change from both teams so it's not easy to tell which team could win. With these tight matchups i'll take the over 2.5 on IG vs XG since this will be a good test for IG and I think they should take at least one map as I still have a bit of doubt on XG.

Anyway, congratulations to BetBoom, it was unexpected while everyone is expecting that the slot will be for Outsiders.

Yeah I was one of them though. I was so confident that Outsiders would have won 3-0 and decided to bet on that lol but BetBoom is just full of surprise I guess. Getting to the last chance qualifiers is actually not bad though, they still have a decent chance to get into TI but the other region runner up would be there as well and most likely the WEU region is going to dominate the last chance qualifiers

It will be a lot harder to enter TI through the last chance qualifier. If they were not able to qualify in their region it will be harder to win against the runner ups of China and WEU. Not to mention, other regions runner ups will be there as well. Outsiders had the best chance to qualify through CIS qualifiers but they blew it. I guess Betboom figured them out.

This season, the top teams are always getting swept or losing to the team from lower bracket in the finals. Happened in Malaysia, arlington, riyadh. Could this be the trend through TI11? I hope not.

Outsiders - FTW is going to be a very easy one for Outsiders. They don't have any head-to-head history but Outsiders are far stronger than them. Outsiders defeated BIG with a really solid win by 2-0 yesterday. BIG were so desperate against them unlike my expectation. Today BIG are playing against G2 also. G2 defeated them 2-0 in BLAST Premier not much time ago and it was really comfortable on both maps. Seeing that there is no light in BIG's performance, G2 can win once again. G2 are on the rise these days. There is not much to talk about FaZe - MIBR. FaZe would destroy them 2-0 as G2 did the same yesterday.

These are the matches I'm thinking of betting on:

Yesterday's matches were boring, Faze 2-0 FTW, Outsiders 2-0 BIG, G2 2-0 MIBR. Maybe my wish for a less complicated group stage come true and group B become too one side in terms of the power gap between Faze, G2, Outsiders vs BIG, MIBR, FTW.

Tonight's matches with Outsiders vs FTW, G2 vs BIG, Faze vs MIBR might be swift as yesterday with all matches ending in 2-0.
G2 showed a much better performance than I expected and impressed me. I was thinking like they would lose one map. But it is good to see them getting better in time. If we look at the performances of the new transfers we can see that jks was really good today. He needs to continue to get many frags like this to be helpful for real. HooXi was also not bad today. Especially on Ancient he was a big help with his 16 frags as well.

BIG were terrible I'm afraid. They couldn't win even one map against Outsiders. k1to and syrsoN were horrible on Dust2 with 9 and 6 frags respectively. They still have a long way to go to be able to come back to their old days.

Of all teams on the one side of the power gap, BIG seems the best to upset the game there. I don't know, they win against Outsiders in eco or half-buy rounds. But in full buy rounds, with big guns, they lose easily. Tabsen did some impressive clutch and the dude clearly could have done better with his skill.

@emrecemsan
I say don't bet 2-0 on the G2 vs BIG since BIG is still a bit unpredictable. A bet 2-0 on Outsiders vs FTW match seems the safest here, in my opinion.

A lot of upsets in Dota 2 right now! Hokori managed to 3-0 Infamous and it was one of the best Dota games I have ever seen so far. I don't even know anyone from this team but seeing how coordinated and how patient they are, I think they have a decent chance of progressing in TI and not be eliminated easily. Their midlane and carry players are so good in creating space for themselves in order to farm. For sure, a lot of bettors are upset with this result from SA TI Qualifiers Cheesy

Damn. I was lucky I stopped betting for Infamous after their win over SG. I should've won in their next game but looking at the odds, I would have a net loss after they lost to Hokori. SA TI qualifier was much like what happened in eastern Europe. Hokori was dropped by Tempest, then avenged their loss after Infamous dropped Tempest in the upper bracket finals. Then boom! Hokori won 3-0 over Infamous.

China and North American qualifiers start today. We'll see if favorites RNG of China and Soniqs in NA are going to get upset too. China is really stacked with good teams though so RNG will be having a hard time battling these teams to secure their TI tickets.

Agreed. WEU qualifier will be a monster because there’s a lot of strong team out there that can overpower the beaten Outsider. I was surprised that Betboom sweep them since they Outsider is much stronger on Betboom in all the regional tournaments while the finals is a best of 5. I don’t watch the match or the replay because it’s too boring to watch sweep finals but Ramzes always like this even before on crucial matches that’s why he can’t achieve greater TI spot even before on his prime.

I made a mistake by believing in BIG against Outsiders yesterday. They couldn't even win one map which was painful to watch for me. BIG are still having the same issues and today they have even a more difficult match against G2. I don't know if they can even win one map today. It depends on bans and map choices as well. Overpass, Dust2 and Mirage are the maps they are effective the most. However G2 would ban Overpass above all else as they are too weak there as they haven't played even once before. The remaining maps are good for G2 side also.

Consequently, G2 are much more advantageous against them in every condition. Comparing the recent forms also there is no way BIG are winning here playing like this. I'd rather staying away from betting on score but G2 are sensible to bet on @1.36. It can be added to multis as it is a quite low odd for a single.

It is not good to bet at this time, the odds for G2 and Faze is just too low. I tried to parlay them but ended with just 1.48 odds. Not a good odd for me. I will skip this one and try when matches are not too one-sided. Maybe tomorrow when Faze matches against Outsiders, it might have better odds. But for now, I will just watch how the teams are performing in their matches and on which maps they are weak/strong.

That's okay. Only a few have expected that Outsiders won't be winning the grand finals but it seems that they are the ones who are correct with that prediction.

On the side of BetBoom, I only know three of them, daxak, sonneiko and rodjer. Rodjer was a former teammate of ramzes that they've just beaten and as well as with Na'Vi's No one and Solo.

China's region is also on the go right now and already have finished a lot of games. While for the North American region, within a few hours, the matches are going to start.

Before the G2 - BIG match which is starting in an hour, I was looking into the comparison of the players of these teams. The picture below shows the statistics of past 3 months in a comparison between m0NESY and syrsoN.

Even though BIG are having really bad days syrsoN is still proving how skilled he is even under bad conditions. Except his Dust2 performance yesterday, he has been playing great as one of the biggest AWP players of the game. His statistics are very close to m0NESY despite this form. I think that m0NESY is one of the best players to compare with because I think he is already like the second most performing AWP player right after s1mple.

Anyway today we are going to see these great players fighting against each other. Both of them can make a big difference in this series. If it happens then I think m0NESY can make a bigger impact than him. His insane reflexes have like no match these days.  Grin

There's nothing better than the flick awp shot by M0nesy, this kid is a great talent, believe me. Syrson is use a good awp but in my opinion it has no place in the top 5 awp rankings. It would be a BIG surprise for BIG to beat G2 in its current form. There was already a match in the last weeks and G2 beat it 2-0 and I think they will beat it today. Both teams like to play dust 2, I think we will see Dust2 competition in one of the three best maps. It will be nice to see how Syrson and M0nesy defend their team with awp on this map.

For sure the feeling of the outsiders now is might not good because of the decision making of the valve to make a swap of teams direct invite in the Ti champions but now for sure most of the teams fighting to the bracket of their region for the slot of the wild card to get a chance to be known and part of the Ti finalists.

syrsoN is quite a reliable and stable player. He's performed a lot of times for BIG and has been playing consistently most of the time. It's just that they cannot win a lot of maps since their understanding and strategies on a lot of maps are pretty limited, and their execution is almost always stalled. If tabsen can work on that part, BIG can advance and performed better against a lot of teams that's for sure. For individual raw skill and aim, these guys can still outgun a lot of the top-rated players out there. Tabsen is still a great entry player, k1to is that new recruit that can clutch important rounds, and syrsoN is the guy that can do all of these things but with style.

In G2 hooxi is really dragging the team down in performance. Either they will have to find a new igl or the other players will have to try a bit harder. Because to me it feels like they are playing with 4 players. I think it is not good for g2 to perform so badly. A change may come soon. In the first map, hunter showed an extra performance by getting 39 kills and hooxi's performance didn't matter much. But if every map will be like this, things will be very difficult for g2.

In Map 2, vertigo, G2 started very poorly. They were down 11-4 I think, I am not sure but they were down big. But they turn around everything in the second half and even manage to get to overtime and eventually win the map. They beat BIG 2-0. This is the closes match that we have in Group B. Both maps end in overtime.

It is just too bad that BIG was not able to close the 2nd map with the huge lead they built playing CT. Both teams have a hard time playing T in vertigo. Hunter and Niko worked very hard to win this game.

Next match, Faze vs MIBR. Faze is heavily favored to win this series.

HooXi is an inconsistent player indeed. He has 7 frags on one map while the rest of the players are finishing by 20+ frags. But on the other map he has 24 frags to make up for it. It is good to see improvement on that but the general performance is still not very adequate for the team. Hopefullly G2 don't need to make another change in the future. The cousins were great on each map indeed - huNter 39 frags on Mirage, NiKo 36 frags on Vertigo.

FaZe scared me after losing the first map like 16-9. But their comeback was incredibly by 16-8 win on Nuke and 16-4 win on Overpass. Dust2 was a really unsuccessful map for FaZe and they even lost to MIBR as well here.

China's region is also on the go right now

China region is just silly though. I got 2.6 odds on Xtreme gaming -1.5 against IG despite that IG has been struggling for a while on the 2nd division

Speaking of the TI qualifiers, SA qualifiers ended up with Hokori winning it. Unfamiliar name and yeah this team was relegated on the last DPC and going to play on the 2nd division but somehow they won 3-0 against the favourites of the region. These qualifiers kept on giving insane end results though

If someone had expectations for Na'Vi after what they showed yesterday , I feel bad for them because the name itself is too big for the current squad they have for Dota 2 and at this point even the odds are lower when Na'Vi plays simply because of the name they have. BetBoom simply destroyed Na'Vi today and they're doing the same thing with Outsiders in game 1 but I'm sure they will go for a comeback in game 2.

Na'Vi as a Dota 2 team no longer has that charm compared to when they still have Dendi. After Dendi's departure, Na'Vi is no longer a household name in Dota, and has rather became and obscure name in the Dota CIS region. With the arrival of Crystallize, there was a breathe of fresh air, but it didn't last long. If Na'Vi still wants to compete at the highest level in Dota, they need to do some serious overhaul of their team structure and their organization too. They were at the top, but they just became weak over time.
I agree, Na'Vi lost their strength as time goes by. Na'Vi is just so good in their prime. I'm one of their biggest fans before they become the internationals champion at that time. They should really be restructuring their whole team by now, The fire that Dendi original team lit where now gone and new Dota players surely don't even know what Navi prove at the time of their prime.

I just remember their collaboration with steelseries back then, I bought the whole steelseries x navi gears  Roll Eyes

The odds on these Div 1 teams that got knocked in the lower bracket seem a bit generous and with that said i've made a multi between VG and Ehome since I think there's still a decent gap between their opponents so they shouldn't have issues losing here.

On the other hand, i'm surprised with NiP's announcement as they pick up Aleksib and bench Plopski from their roster.

https://www.hltv.org/news/34566/nip-sign-aleksib-plopski-benched
Aleksib is a good igl, really. He has a decent aim plus with his big brain, can easily tilt a game or outsmart even top-tier pro players. Not too hard for him to search and join any tier-1 CS pro right now. Tho I don't know, plopski is a good player too. Seems a bit of waste for plopski to be benched like that. NIP is now having device (main awp, take a break from 2022 competition) and plopski (igl) benched. Early Oct for IEM Rio starts to see NIP play with Aleksib as igl.
