Astralis - Eternal Fire is going on with the second map, Overpass.

The first map was a disaster for Eternal Fire. Dust2 was one of their most performing maps actually and they showed it by a great start too. The team had a good system and the score was even 9-3 to their advantage at some point. However they started to make the same mistake they made against ENCE. Astralis suddenly started to collect themselves due to the mistakes of their opponent and made a great comeback. The result was 16-14.

Eternal Fire made a good start on Overpass by bringing the score to 5-0 but they are still making the same mistakes which caused them to lose 2 rounds right after that. It is still difficult to believe in such team to win truthfully. Despite Astralis' bad form it feels like they will win anyway.

Nuke is one of the most successful maps for Eternal Fire indeed but it is still hard to trust them about their win easily. Astralis are even ahead by 10-2 which is a really worrying score for Eternal Fire. XANTARES has played passively so far and this isn't good for the team at all.

Because they are relying on XANTARES' incredible aim too much that they struggle quite a lot when he doesn't get many frags. For example, they won on Overpass thanks to XANTARES' incredible performance with 32 frags. But on Nuke things are going even worse by every round for the team. Eternal Fire players are playing carelessly also. They don't check every corner and this causes them to be caught very easily. If they don't find a solution to this they will say goodbye to BLAST Premier also.

Yea I agree they are playing a bit loose, it would be a win on momentum and they dont have it.   The more I watch the more I agree with you I gave you merit anyway was good comment , the team does count more then just one player; Xantares isnt enough though he is impressive.  Nothing is impossible but they would have to be substantially better on CT and I wouldnt guess that now Astralis have been in so much control

We have just left Astralis vs Eternal Fire matchup behind. While everything was coming to an end on Nuke after Astralis made it 15-9, Eternal Fire players started to give their best into the match and carried it to OT. We watched even double OT in fact but still they couldn't prevent a defeat by 22-20.

To be honest, this matchup was definitely winnable for Eternal Fire. They should have won on Dust2 above all else. They had a good score advantage but couldn't keep it for long. It was feeling like we were having the same scenario on Overpass but thanks to XANTARES they equalized the series. Nuke was actually one of the most unsuccessful maps for Astralis because they had 2 wins and 7 losses. The statistics were like the opposite for Eternal Fire. However they still had big struggles. XANTARES started the map with a weak effort and they were really bad at the beginning. There was a hope in OT but they couldn't make it. This team still need to work harder to play more consistent as a team. Because we still see exactly the same faults by the players in every matchup.

If Xantares had given his contribution in the Overpass map to the Dust2 map, Eternal Fire could have easily won 2-0. On the other hand, to talk about the Nuke map, the first half ended 13-2 on the T side. Imorr couldn't get much out of this map in terms of tactics. If he had won a few rounds for his team, this match could have been won again. Because there was a really good defense on the CT side, especially Xfloud showed itself in this match, they did almost 40 frags with two overtimes.

Eternal fire lost again in a game they didn't play too badly. This has become a habit now. The opponent is eco but eternal fire can lose these hands. They need to find a solution to this as soon as possible. This is not going to happen with imorr and paz. We see that both players are inadequate in frag and stance positioning and die unnecessarily. About 10 hands were lost today due to a complete positional error.The great play of xantares and xfloud was not enough to win. I think something has to change completely in the team.

I wonder what happens next to RNG. I believe they will remain quarantined for 2 weeks minimum. Are there sanctions for them in this tournament or there are future sanctions? People brought tickets already for these coming Playoffs and The Finals for these teams to play in person. We feel sorry for the players but the team did something wrong and needs to get penalized. The hotel they are staying at will probably close for a while, the airport staffs and the other places they went into like restaurants are pretty sure worried. Imagine if they reach the finals or even win the aegis and they're not present at the stadium.

I doubt there would be any sanctions since nothing was mentioned about them breaking any rules, and there's no other choice for them than to play outside the event due to their situation. The same thing also happened in Worlds where one of the teams (Damwon) had to play in a separate booth because of their covid situation.

I do believe that Team Spirit will not be knocked out of the competition this early. They were knocked out to the bottom bracket last year as well in the first round of the upper bracket matches but they persevere, made it to the finals, and beat LGD. They are taking it one step further though this year. They are starting at the very bottom, BO1 elimination with Boom Esports. Boom showed resilience in the group matches and was able to snatch the last slot of the bottom bracket, but I think their journey will end this time against Team Spirit. Due to a large hero pool of Team Spirit, Boom will have a hard time figuring them out. And in a BO1 situation, that is very scary.

I'm also leaning on Team Spirit to advance against Boom just because of their experience and they nearly got a map against all teams but we'll see which team could surprise us.

First game after group stage is always very important and teams often have problems with it. Team Secret doing great job to dispatch PSG.LGD to lower brackets. PSG started poorly but they recovered well and I expected them to give a bit more problems to Secret. First map was a stomp while second one was much more competitive.

Really suprised to see EG losing and losing without taking a map.

I was wrong, it is painful to see them leave this early, but Boom was surprisingly resilient in keeping their ticket alive. They just keep on denying the odds. Others are right when they said is Boom is strong against top teams and they prove it today. They have eliminated the defending champion from TI. If they really are strong against strong teams, they still have lots to slain because top teams keep falling from the underdogs. EG and LGD are now in the lower bracket. Can Boom esports slay another heavy favorite in their next match? This time they are against PSG.LGD.

They are just on a roll. The addition of Crystallis and Reso on the team proves to be profitable to them. They were lucky they were able to pick up Reso in Riyadh, now they are reaping the fruits of their decision to make him an official member of Secret.

Yeah, right? I did not have the chance to watch the game but it is really surprising. After dominating the group stage, they fallen to the lower bracket. They are not out yet though, they can still claw their way back to finals but it will be a lot of pressure. Every series now will be elimination series for EG.

I really don't know how much more XANTARES - xfl0ud duo needed to do in this series. Overpass was dominated by XANTARES with 32 kills and it was the same for xfl0ud with 39 kills on Nuke. XANTARES actually started Nuke very badly like 1K - 7D but he also improved his performance a lot. He played crucial roles in some critical rounds. xfl0ud must have had his best match in his Eternal Fire career however all these things were still not enough for the win.

I definitely agree that imoRR and paz are unreliable. They make simple mistakes. imoRR pushes his luck too much mostly and being impatient causes his team to fight 4v5. He dies very quickly in most of the rounds. He is the IGL in the end so he needs to act smarter instead of playing as an entry fragger.

Today one of the biggest matches happen between the Boom vs the Team Spirit, the boom manage to remove the former TI Champion in this game and they got easily drafted with this lifestealer game the SEA crowd right now in the hype to make another history in this game I guess EG will have a good time here because they are already secured in the upper bracket and give the chance to Boom to make another fight and of course the Boom shows that they well deserve to be part of the game, also right now one of the saddest story is the LGD goes down in the lower bracket.

I'm thinking of making a betslip full of these choices:

Your first guess was successful. Vitality won an easy win against Tyloo as predicted. Now the Astralis vs Eternal Fire match has started. Map selections chose EF dust 2, while Astralis chose Overpass. Decider map was selected as Nuke. I didn't take the risk and put Astralis forward for the bet. It had odds of 1.65. The last IGL change for EF has not been fully efficient for now, but it may be in the future, but for now, I think it is not fully efficient. We're talking about an IMorr that B rush the Mirage map 3 times, IGL meister  

I'm sure that BIG and Heroic will also win. But I failed about my prediction on Eternal Fire.    I was hoping them to defeat Astralis somehow as they weren't in much different conditions. Actually they could have done it if they were able to play a little better on Dust2. It was going on to their advantage but they did the classic thing they do and started to lose rounds very easily after a point. But the Overpass performance made me hopeful again until seeing the Nuke one.  

But I believe that it was definitely worth a shot because Astralis were able to eliminate them barely by double OT. I think Vitality will easily destroy Astralis on Friday and show how it's done.

What a game! And just like that, the defending champion Team Spirit got knocked out by Boom ESports in a BO1 match-up. That was crazy. It seems like the confidence of Boom were too high with a live audience noisy and cheering. Their hunger and eagerness were there as they showed brilliant displays of aggressiveness against the very dangerous Team Spirit.

Today is just another wild day in TI as heavy favorites EG and LGD got dropped to the lower bracket by TA and Secret.


RNG's 4 seats are occupied by teddy bears with only 1 of them present. I am betting on Entity. I think RNG will have a hard time communicating here, especially at very crucial moments late game.

I am watching them right now against Entity. And even they're on that setup, I can say that they're doing a good job although it's an advantage in terms of communication when they're altogether but they have to win on this one to continue, since all the lower bracket games are best of 1 series' only for the first day, tomorrow it will be a best of 3 series for the rest.

I've watched this upset and what a play by BOOM Esports and they've proven themselves from having a 1.48% of going to the lower bracket, they've even managed to beat the former TI10 champion.

Thunder Awaken goes to secure Top 6 and the same goes for Team Secret. Team Secret, coming from LCQ now to securing the top 6 and secured prize money of $594,268 win or lose for their next matches but, I'm sure that they'll proceed longer.

I do agree with you but sometimes Boom can give an upset match result even on top teams just like what they did on gamers galaxy before with this same lineup. I do sense the weakness of Team Spirit this time compared last year they are on UB even though they knock out early to LB but still it means that they show a good performance on group stage unlike this current TI that they start very weak even on group stage. This will be a history for TS if they manage to do this impossible lower bracket run on this TI.

I will bet on Boom this time just to support fellow Filipino. This will not gonna be an easy fight for TS so I will take my chance to bet on Boom with high odds using small money.

They still have to be confident with their communications, it seems. All of them have great aim and their raw skill is just off the charts. As a new formed team with veterans from Tier 1/2 teams, it's impossible for them to pick up their form and go with their flow. They'll pick it up soon once they share lots of matches, scrims, and games together. But so far, they're doing good.

Boom is so good on this fight. Team Spirit has the early advantage until the mid game when they keep losing the clash because they can’t Mars multiple times. Team Spirit mistakes on letting SF freely farm is what makes them lose on the late game. Lifestealer is useless if it’s being kite by SF when it’s on the plasma filled. The game is so good and close fight. This is just an upset because Team Spirit is a depending champ but there stats is very poor this TI that’s why bookmaker odds for this match is not that high. I went 3-2 today. I felt bad for EG for choosing Thunder Awaken only to be trashed by the SA team. Also on RNG. I thought they got this in the bag after they left the throne standing alone for Entity. They got the right idea on using UD rift to Dire throne but they can't execute it due to their lanes being pushed constantly by Visage. Imagine if you're RNG right now. Almost all of you have COVID but you still managed to drag the game up to 100+ minutes. Insane day 1 of the main stage with lots of twists and turns.
