What a crazy week this was in the IEM Dallas 2023, we saw G2 getting knocked out by FaZe and also Astralis losing to Mouz. Today are the two semi-finals being played and the grand finale is up tomorrow. The first match is going to be Heroic vs Mouz, where I am going to put all my money on Heroic. I really like the Mouz team, but it was a big surprise for them to even get so far in the tournament. Heroic is still ranked #2 team in the world and should be winning the match easily in a best of 3 setup. Also the two teams already faced each other during the tournament and Heroic won 2-0 without any problems. The second match is going to be ENCE vs Faze, which is going to be much closer. The two teams are quite strong and it's hard to predict the outcome. On paper FaZe seems like the stronger team and should win this game, but the two teams already played each other in the B group and ENCE won 2-0. This might be a psychological problem now for FaZe and they could choke. That is why I am going with ENCE with a smaller size bet. The finals tomorrow will likely be Heroic vs ENCE, where Heroic is going to win.

That will be a thrilling match for sure. Both teams have some crazy players like m0NESY (G2) and broky (Faze) who have performed exceptionally for their respective teams and I am excited to see which one of them prevails in their roles. broky had some real clutch moments in Blast Paris Major and he is red hot form right now.

Yes G2 are definitely the favourites but I also feel like Faze are very much capable as well. I had seen them making comebacks in some tight situations so it's still anybody's game. I would also be rooting for Faze here as I like their spirit and karrigan who drives his team so well.

Just a glimpse of broky from Blast Major: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/YSBUQUKE6Vw (sends chills down my spine  Cheesy)
FaZe won! Their dominance on the second and third maps was surprising as I was hoping for a closer match. Broky indeed delivers especially on Mirage. G2 seemed unable to gain any momentum on the third map, with many rounds ending without planting the bomb. It appears they couldn't bounce back from their loss on the second map.

Yeah, device has been the man in form for the last few matches for Astralis but I feel others also step in a bit and make it smooth.
You were right. Device once again delivered an amazing performance, topping the server, but Astralis still suffered a 0-2 defeat. Astralis is in dire need of a change at this point.

Speaking of the semifinals, who are you cheering for? I'm personally rooting for FaZe once again, and of course, Heroic in the other match.

MOUZ defeated Heroic 2-1 in the semifinals of the IEM Dallas tournament and made it to the finals. The first map was vertigo chosen by Mouz and with dexter's great performance, mouz was able to win the map of his choice comfortably. The second map was overpass chosen by heroic, this time thanks to dexter's poor performance, mouz lost this map and the situation came to 1-1.The last map was ancient. Here it is obvious that mouz played better as a team and I think they deserved to win.
In the other semifinal match, ENCE beat Faze 2-1 and paired up with mouz in the final.ENCE was very good as a team and we can say that everyone contributed almost equally. In Faze, karrigan had a very bad performance and maybe he was the one who dragged his team down as a frag.

I knew it. ENCE is gonna do something ridiculous to go to the grand finals. They have good form very recently and sunpayus is doing some great plays left, right, and center with his crazy entries and some clutches here and there. Currently watching them play against MOUZ and their entries, trades, and map movement is just on another level. They comfortably take mid and B every single time and MOUZ can't do anything even with the heroics of JDC.

It looks like ENCE got the first map in the map. Even the likes of G2 and FaZe succumbed to these guys that are considered tier 2 teams not long ago.

ENCE was the winner in the final of the IEM Dallas tournament.Although the first map was mirage chosen by MOUZ, mouz could not win this map and started the final match with a 1-0 defeat. It was a match in which sunpayus showed extra performance and dexter played badly again. We can easily see this in terms of the overall score. There is a decline in the team due to the fact that dexter is mouz's player and I think they should change players as soon as possible. The second map was nuke and again it was a map where the ence team won by doing the team game well and they became champions by defeating mouz 2-0 in the final.Sunpayus reached a good rating throughout the tournament. When the team's awper plays well, we can say that it is generally easier to win matches. But when we look at device's rating 2.0 by far, we can say that it is not enough for only awper to play well, assuming that the overall team is not good, although it is 1st.

By the way, today Tundra will fight Team Secret but I only get 1.16 Odds for Tundra.
Good thing they lost game 1 and I got their live odds with 1.72. Team Secret almost took game 2, but Tundra still came out on top and BOOM was kind of sloppy with his Batrider.

Congratulations on your win by getting more decent Odds.
Unfortunately only a small amount that I can have from the match.
Maybe luck is more on your side so you get the chance to bet with higher odds.

-snip-
Congratulations on winning that bet despite that GG lost this game, they're still now gonna go on Bali and at the same time, they are going to the The International assuring their slot. Well played and well done to them.
Yes, I hope that it really happens so that they can provide enthusiasm and motivation for the Dota team which is owned by Indonesia.
But it seems that the team from Indonesia has never won a prestigious title.

Just watched the series of Execration and Blacklist. They've just battled for the DPC points and placing but both of them are going to the Bali major. Blacklist ended as the 2nd place and Execration as the 3rd and there's the difference of the points they've won by 100.
While Bleed Esports as the 1st place for the DPC Sea. Right now, I'm watching the match of Boom Esports and Army Geniuses, one of them will remain on division 1 and that's whoever wins the series while the loser will be back to division 2. Boom won the 1st game.

Just as people thought that Talon emerged as the region's best team, they now failed to qualify for this season's last major. Talon only needs 40 points to qualify in the TI but now they need the luck to stay in the top 12 DPC ranking which is still very likely. But it signifies that the region remained hotly contested and it is a good sign because they need to up their games in order to compete with the best on the world stage. These 3 teams need to be competitive in Bali as they badly lack the points to qualify for TI.

Another team inside the top 12 that failed to qualify for Bali is TSM and it is almost certain that it will find itself outside the top 12 after the Bali major.

ENCE dominated in the final and I am not surprised by the result. I was actually surprised when MOUZ reached in the finals after defeating Heroic. Well anyway I thought of it as a fluke and well it turned out to be right as ENCE showed pure domination in the finals over MOUZ. All players of ENCE were having a good time in the game and had their respective moments while MOUZ were just clueless.

When the team's awper plays well, we can say that it is generally easier to win matches. But when we look at device's rating 2.0 by far, we can say that it is not enough for only awper to play well, assuming that the overall team is not good, although it is 1st.

Well it's not the case everytime. I have seen matches where s1mple, Zywoo had displayed some spectacular plays but despite that they have lost their matches. It's a team game and the impact from every player matters. Sometimes impact from one player is enough and sometime it is not. For a consistent form it is better to have everyone finding some impact inside the game.

Is there a team that's owned by Indonesia? I know that there are Indonesian players but I don't know that there's such thing in existence. There are notable Indonesian players but the competition is just too tough on Dota 2. Even if you go as a player, it's entirely hard to win a game these days and that's thanks to the new meta that keeps on being updated and no one has that upperhand unless you're experienced and with good teammates. Since Indonesia is part of the SEA, I've just seen the game of Boom Esports and Mansion Army Geniuses, the one that's relegated to division 2 is the Boom Esports. These has got Indonesian players but their offlane was out and was subbed by Mushi, this team has also got notable players but still having hard time retaining their status.

Ence are giant killers like a few teams were in their times, before the Brazilians under Fallen won the major twice even as beginners they were able to potentially destroy any team seemingly at random.  Difference between challenger and winner is the consistency required to beat on all fronts, somehow that is often lacking especially when other teams start to counter strat vs the specific advantages a team might employ.  Even now the Brazil teams possess energy which alot of teams find hard to handle the threat of anywhere on the map.    Ence kill off Faze quite often, they are kryptonite from what I've read though I dont quite get why.

Apeks vs Sangal a team from Germany, can this be a bet for 2-0 and higher odds for that precise guess.  Apeks is weaker on only one map apparently.

I wasn't expecting ENCE to win even IEM Dallas. It was such an extra performance by them but they had a much easier opponent in grand final as well. I mean MOUZ are definitely easier than Heroic normally. Yeah interestingly they managed to win the series against Heroic in the semi finals but we wouldn't see this very often. ENCE just went for this opportunity and played really solid. If they had Heroic as their opponent in the final stage then I think Heroic would have been the winner of the tournament.

FaZe were really disappointing by the way. I was actually expecting G2 to win the series against them but it didn't happen. However their journey still ended before reaching grand final. They at least seem better than NaVi these days.

If they had Heroic as their opponent in the final stage then I think Heroic would have been the winner of the tournament.

It would have been a tough final but yes if Heroic would have made it into the finals then I also think that after a tough fight Heroic would have emerged as IEM Dallas winners.

Anyway now off to another CS tournament that is about to kick off tomorrow- Blast Spring Final [1]. Vitality vs Imperial and then G2 vs Cloud 9 is tomorrow's fixture in Group A. Vitality vs Imperial should be an easy win for Vitality given their run of form but G2 vs Cloud 9 is a tough fixture. Both G2 and Cloud9 finished poorly in IEM Dallas and will be hoping to start things strong in the Blast now.

Is there a team that's owned by Indonesia? I know that there are Indonesian players but I don't know that there's such thing in existence. I don't know why Indonesia has never had a prestigious title in the field of Esport and as far as I know, only MPL has become Indonesia's pride in the field of Esport, and even then it was several years ago.
Talking about the Indonesian Dota 2 team, maybe they can learn more and also add some experience so they can compete with other countries' Dota 2 teams.

I absolutely agree.Mouz beating heroic was pure luck and we saw it very easily in the performance of the players in the final match.I expected heroic to make it to the final but it didn't happen as I expected.Fortunately ence didn't surprise me and beat mouz in the final and we can say that he managed to become champion.

In fact, we can say like this; as long as awper has a good performance in the team, at least it is easier for them to win the match. There have been matches where Zywoo or s1mple carried the team alone and I witnessed this.Of course, this is a team game and it is not a game that only looks at awper, but I can say that if awper is on his day that day and his teammates contribute to him as a frag, it makes it easier for the team to win the match.Especially when the contribution of IGLs as frag is high, this turns into a match that becomes easier again.

Sometimes I wonder if we will ever see a time in which Korean teams stop dominating League of Legends tournaments. Because for long years this hasn't changed even a bit. Actually not only Korean teams, Chinese teams have also improved themselves a lot. The last MSI tournament was a perfect example for the thing I'm saying.

We saw only Korean and Chinese teams in final rounds of the tournament. EU and NA teams still don't learn their lesson from this at all. They can only beat each other but there is no such thing nearly all the time when it comes to doing the same to Asian teams. I see a big lack of discipline and strategies in EU and NA teams as a result.

Things will change for those who are chasing to get qualified to TI because of the DPC points that will be distributed for this Bali major. Remember that this is going to be the last major for this year prior to TI, cmiiw. Too short for Talon as they only need a few points to qualify. While some teams might be up after gaining a lot of points after this Bali major. But I think that even after this Bali major, Talon will still be able to qualify and get a secured slot for TI. There are already 5 slots secured and Talon is on the 6th place because some teams who are gonna play in Bali are already qualified for the TI and that's not a competition anymore for Talon. But who knows, we'll just have to wait until it ends and see the calculations for the points.

In other esports, they're doing pretty well but Dota 2 is a tough competition in the world of Esports. Sadly with Boom Esports, they're relegated to division 2. Together with Xerxia, they're back there and will have another tough competition to go back to the division but I don't think that we'll see that soon as the next tournaments are going to be invitationals and as well as through regional qualifiers for the TI.

Talking about the Indonesian Dota 2 team, maybe they can learn more and also add some experience so they can compete with other countries' Dota 2 teams.
Boom is strong and they even won majors but it's just that they've changed roster and they can't keep up with the old roster they've got that has won majors. They should have budgeted that roster until they've been having hard time now.

These 3 teams need to be competitive in Bali as they badly lack the points to qualify for TI.

Another team inside the top 12 that failed to qualify for Bali is TSM and it is almost certain that it will find itself outside the top 12 after the Bali major.

Bali will be the last Major, and Talon is not in a rough spot but also not in a comfortable spot either. Whatever happens in Bali though, Talon will remain to be a strong contender in the SEA region. If ever they dropped to resort to the open qualifiers (which I know wouldn’t happen), they are one of the best teams with the highest chance to edge out other teams.

It’s less than a month before the quiet months start on the road to TI. I’m excited on the new teams that will be born to conquer the open qualifiers honestly more than those who will qualify the yearly tournament.

There are still a lot of veteran players in the LCK and LPL, so it might take several years to see the western teams dominate the international tournaments. The gap is only widening because the EU and NA veterans are slowly retiring, and the remaining veteran players are underperforming while it's the opposite for the LCK and LPL players. There's still a bit of hope through imports as some of the NA and EU teams are starting to recruit players from the LCK, but it'll take years to build a more competitive team that can match the top teams like T1 and Gen.G.
