PR IDEA

Anybody here who knows a good-looking Danish or Austrian (or German) girl willing to upload a cute, breezy vid clip to help us pronounce the word Groestl would be helping out immensely!

I may go to Austria myself in a couple weeks to try and get some footage of people pronouncing Groestl from the streets of Vienna. I am hoping it will be a playful introduction to this green algo. I will also source the finest Groestl in Vienna for eats Cheesy

Anybody based in Austria or Germany can start doing this NOW

Anybody in Denmark / with Danish connections can do the same

Between the Russian forum, the French miner who posted test results, the Danish core dev and Austrian flavour we have an interesting european crypto twist. Possibly the Austrians will warm to Groestlcoin Smiley

To Boost the Coin we need Somme bounty.
the construction of coin is unfair ,decreasing 6% every week  "so fast: 78% Roll Eyes in one Year & 22% in 9 years " what new miner think  Huh Huh Huh!!!!
with all Altcoin every day miners don't thinks to much they do Sommes calculations & next >>>> coin >>>>

all miner love to be in 78% !! we need to exploit that.

want to see a  new currency with a real value.

you are wrong,0.94 52(weeks) times is 0.04,
and 512*0.04 = 20.48
there will only be 20.48 coins per block after one year.
this coin has a new Algo, which can be as successful as the QRK.

to end of march 2015 will be mined more than (near) 82 million GRS 82 M /105 M (all coins) = 78% or near that

Any interest in a groestlecoin relaunch with a different name and changes to the coin reduction?

Have some ideas to target GPU miners that will be impacted by ASICs. In particular Litecoin and Dogecoin.

This includes the GRS developer. I already sent him a PM suggesting a name change. I think this was just a hobby or a technical project.

The Groestl algo has no resistance to ASIC, it's one of the pre-requirements to be a SHA3 candidate.

Developing an ASIC costs a ton of money. So a Groestl ASIC will only happen if and when Groestl becomes a very popular algo for coins. That would implicate that GroestlCoin would become a big success.

Asic is not a real problem.
every algo, including scrypt-N or scrypt-jane are not asic proof.

If there is enough money to earn with a coin (i mean, million dollars), you will see asic development.

For now, yes, Groestl is more asic resistant than other algo (for example keccak or X11) because of it's market cap.

I don't think we have to base our com on asic resistant or not. All coins claim that, and none are really asic proof/resistant.

The true differences this coin on other : power efficience, gpu and cpu firendly. It's already a big thing, summer is coming (and very near, it's a hot day here today, and i'm glad that my gpu only reach 55/60°C being overclocked for half the power of scrypt)

I also hope the dev / dev team will find other arguments to promote the coin. Darkcoin has anonymity, some has other additions.. How hype is a coin is important to. Someone propose a vid with "groestl" pronunciation, it's a very good idea (but i don't know any german/austrian near me..)

I'm not for a re-launch, but not against a fork for adding thing or reducing the reward reduction (i'm fine with it, but many complain about it.)

The team is slowly building up - I can do some PR on my end.

This coin has many things going for it, from low energy algo to CPU/GPU friendliness. We are in a instant world where people expect high gains in a very short period of time - this coin has 10 days guys, it took weeks for darkcoin, aurora or vertcoin to emerge - not even talking about bitcoin...

I've been mining this coin since a few days now, and love the fact that it is still undermined - Eventually, if the coin has value, it will explode no matter what we do, it's just a matter of time before the market realizes the advantages of groestlcoin.

How's the team building going?
