The mods should make it very clear there is a new wallet on first page or in the title.

I erased the peers.dat file and started dowloading new peers.... and again all the 2.0.0.5 shxt is coming at me... Why do dumb people don't update their freaking wallet....!!

Does anybody know how to blacklist some ip address for getting rid of the old wallets?Huh

Not people's fault. Hard forks should be exceptional event. Then such a mess happens.

Does POS require another hard-fork?
I don't think it does.

Still no sync. At first, syncing stopped at '6 weeks', now it stopped at '4 weeks'. A PC and Internet are working OK.

Well, srcxx what now?

I know it should be an exceptional event and I also understand that the developers may have let the switch happen keeping a too low profile. However what I am asking is: how do somebody leave the wallet open and let it go on auto without looking at it anymore?!? If you don't care about this coin, fair enough... but shut that wallet down and don't pollute the net. There are 3 to 4 generations old wallet out there... as I see the big red stripe they should see the same. So, once again: what the heck....?!?

BTW, I'll try my last resource: the wallet on the pc at work is syncing fine ----> I'll try to clone its folder on my home pc and switch the wallet file when (if) it is in sync.

Hello ,
Now we are now accepting GroestlCoin as payment . Can now buy many products including mining and dressing room equipment.

Visit our website and check out our offers

http://bitscoinshop.com.br/en/

Glad to see support for the coin but anywhere charging 190 for a grid-seed is insane. You do realize Grid-seed can be purchased for 75-95 dollars all over the net these day, new... And from the vendor right? Not sure how this is a good thing. Sounds like a guy who put up a front end website and is selling overpriced items to the mining community to try to make a buck. Sure a markup is expected but over 200% is borderline thievery. Miners can make their own choices but I would suggest some research.

Buyer beware. I did not compare the non mining prices. Each mining price was easily 100% higher than current market average. I can only assume the rest of the items are also insanely overpriced. Go to an exchange, sell your GRS for BTC and then BTC to dollars and you will be MUCH BETTER OFF!

Grid-seed, new on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=gridseed&tag=mh0b-20&index=aps&hvadid=4161178983&ref=pd_sl_8l8xa41wdi_bb

Antminer - 18.99 Amazon... http://www.amazon.com/BITMAIN-ANTMINER-U2-Bitcoin-Overclockable/dp/B00ITD5NV6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1402059037&sr=8-2&keywords=gridseed

Something smells fishy here.

If anyone's interested, I've compiled the headless GroestlCoin wallet on my Qnap NAS (arm).
It will be good for some always-on, very low power PoS minting ;-)

Well, you're asking too much. People should read forums all the time, but in reality, people are doing other things, too. This is wh<y I am saying, these forks are more or less - a pain.

But nevertheless, except I got fuc.... one wallet - everything else is fine.

If you haven't updated GroestlCoin wallet in time before the hardfork, you need to re-download the blockchain.

See here: http://groestlcoin.org/forum/index.php?topic=117.0
(just make sure you don't delete your wallet.dat)

Especially if your blockchain is stuck at block 120,959 - then you definitely need to delete it and redownload. This happens to all who haven't updated in time.

If while downloading the new blockchain, you have problems...
Close wallet, delete peers.dat and restart wallet.
I did this procedure 3 times just to test and all was fine, but I've seen reports that people ran into some troubles.

GPU is just 5-10 times faster than GPU (look at original first post on the first page)

what does this mean?
something is 5-10 times faster than itself?
that means that this gpu you are talking about has no limit as it is faster than itself
say my gpu is 10GHs but it is 5 times faster than my gpu (i will use you loweast level) so that means my gpu now mines at 50GHs but as you stated my gpu is 5-10 times faster ok (use lower limit again) my gpu is 5 times faster so now my gpu mine at 250GHs, not bad for a 10GHs card, but wait..........

so you are telling my that my 10GHs gpu can mine well over 99,999,999,999,999,999,999 THs?

Hi guys!

The optimizations week doesn't end here! :-)

I changed the existing kernel a bit and removed some unnecessary stuff.
I got 8% speedup on R9 290.
Try for yourself: https://mega.co.nz/#!9MAAHQJL!cqvdNfIeqcD39AZgvalgcGRKvS5U44xYTtlAZXqUi1U
Just update the groestlcoin.cl file, remove your bin files and restart sph-sgminer.

If you got a faster running rig with my kernel, please consider donating:
* change you donation percentage from 0% to 2% on grs.cryptohunger.com
* donate GRS to Groestlcoin project: FYEAbFBG3xY5VUtE9GXC56v5UKt4xkoUkb
* send BTC to my private account: 1NpEXJvoLSG99m3d1vpM7tHx8uXkksf7wL

This is 2x R9 290 and one R9 270X on Windows7 with 14.6 beta drivers:
JFYI, here is what 14.6 compiles a single 'as_ulong(as_uchar8(r0).s76543210)' for GCN in Linux to:
