Actually it is really very risky, as what we have seen on the different news today crypto is now use on scamming, and so many ICO are really turning into scam, that is why i believe that it is more risky if we invest in new coin or token, i strongly suggest to invest on old coin or token like bitcoin or ethereum because we can trust this coin than the new coin.

There is always a risk involve whenever investing, thats why theres golden rule. Only Invest what you can afford to lose, but to take less risk, just stick to the top coins/tokens available in the market. New coins/tokens cant guarantee success even project that are backed by big names cant guarantee profit.

It's very risky to invest in new tokens because many new tokens/coins appear every week and didnt last long enough to beat the old tokens/coins, it's better to do some research before you put your money there because there's always the best option like btc, eth, ltc, doge and other old altcoins.

Just check at the https://coinmarketcap.com/ and look for coins in the top 100 and check the trading volume, if it pass on your criteria then try to invest. New coins are not proven yet, sometimes they just bring hype and they will dump until people forget it and bagholders will only suffer, these old coins with good trading volume have already proven it can survive, so it's good to invest on them.

If I personally prefer to invest in cryptocurrency that already have a product and are certainly in the top 500 coinmarketcap, because it is definitely safer than investing in new cryptocurrency (the risk is greater), but if you want to invest in a new cryptocurrency then there is nothing wrong if you are trying to invest in a new cryptocurrency, because the profit you get is bigger than you investing in old cryptocurrency (every big risk has a big profit too).

It will always be dangerous every time you decide to invest in any of the cryptocurrency. But if there is no money involve literally of course there is no risk in terms of money, possible the risk that can be consider is the effort and time that will become waste in the end. But rather than that I can't think any of it.

Yes it is really risky investing a new crypto especially if you don't research the project you will likely to lose money. Just do your own research before to invest a new crypto but if you are afraid of losing money, I guess it's better to invest in the old coins you really can make profit if you keep hold for long.

If you don't plan on holding new altcoins for long it will be hard to lose money, most new altcoins that later exit scam or got abandoned have very good start but since the team plan was to exit scam all along they won't stay alive for long, it's all part of the plan so if you get in earlier make sure you make some profits either small or big and quit, such projects always have low awareness compared to coins that target big exchanges like binance or huobi

totally agree with you, i'm also cheking projects - but anyway i think defi is very interesting and more credible concept than ieo and ico. i prefer to invest in dex-ex, i believe they will be next to centralized exchanges
