I have coins stuck there and so far no word. Pretty bad I would say.

Any word on The Official Pool of Clean Water Coin???

Priority #1 right now is wrapping up the wallets, and then immediately getting the pool all cleaned up. We are juggling the best we can with limited resources right now -- so if you know any pool ops that know how to use a command line, let us know! We got a bounty waiting for them Wink

What do you need doing?

As I mentioned I have been trying to get updates from the devs and I have now received an email back from co-founder Zach Mettra. I'm sure he won't mind me posting it here as it should help boost everyone's confidence in this project, it certainly has for me! Sounds like there are good things happening...

Hi

I just got back from the airport, and am doing the best to play catchup as quickly as I can.

Here is a short list of what has been going on:
• We paid another 2.5 BTC to a developer to help us get everything back in order including and most importantly the following
#1 windows wallet with ad spce
#2 mac wallet with ad space
#3 updated tx issue (some pools still have that issue)
#4 updating the official pool
#5 finish building the 0.1% transaction donation feature (can't be done until the tx fee is finished)
#6 start rolling out "plan b"
• we've contacted our media sources and told them to be on standby within 1-2 weeks so that we can essentially "re-launch" this thing succesfully
• we will have paul start ramping up social media later this week as we get closer to the list above
• we are putting together a list of things to bounty out for (any suggestions would be welcome)
We updated the website a bit last Monday (not sure if you've seen it), and we will continue to work on the 2.0 website as soon as that list above is complete.
I know this has been a mess for everyone -- including the community, but please understand that this was not suppose to happen. It was a lazy mistake by our lead developer, that has severely set us back on our initial marketing strategy. Myself and the other founder both have babies, and full time jobs -- and this auto-pilot approach that we had in place will only work when we get 1-6 done above.

It sucks. It's annoying. It's frustrating. And we've had to spend a lot of money to keep this thing from sinking 100%.
I know you have been putting in an enormous amount of community/irc time -- and that does not go unnoticed.
Please weigh in on what else we could be / should be doing -- your feedback is priceless.
Thanks,
Zach

Thanks for sharing.

I think Zach and the team have done a great job navigating the launch issues and having a strong team like this now is going to make a big difference going forward.

WALLET SYNCING FIX

I have been having the same problem as many other people here where the wallet won't sync past block 8786. I have tried all of the fixes posted here and none worked. I did the following and my wallet is now working perfectly.

If you go to Help->Debug Window->Console in your wallet and type "getpeerinfo" you will get a list of all the nodes your wallet is connected to. This is where the wallet gets the blockchain info from. For each entry look at the "startingheight" number, this shows what block that particular node thinks we are on.

If you have lots of nodes that say: "startingheight" : 8786, or some other number in the 8000s then your wallet is going to get confused as it is getting conflicting information.

I simply went through and listed all the nodes that were showing the correct block number. (as of writing we are on 9658)

Now you want to stop your wallet from automatically searching for nodes to connect to, so it won't find and connect to these 'bad' nodes - this is done by using "connect=IP" instead of "addnode=IP".

So, to get your wallet working do exactly the following:

1) Shut down the wallet completely.
2) Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\cleanwatercoin.
3) Delete everything EXCEPT wallet.dat and cleanwatercoin.conf. (Make sure your .conf file is in the C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\cleanwatercoin\ folder)
4) Open cleanwatercoin.conf and delete everything then paste in the following and save.

connect=176.14.88.234
connect=107.170.217.4
connect=67.82.168.57
connect=97.102.24.119
connect=188.226.199.223
connect=water.suprnova.cc
connect=95.85.45.65
connect=107.170.209.91
connect=173.209.34.2
connect=68.168.113.90

5) Restart the wallet.

Your wallet will now download the blockchain ONLY from those 'good' nodes that are specified. This will take a little while, be patient but it should fully sync eventually.
Please post other 'good' nodes that you find so they can be added to the conf file in future.

Please let me know if this worked for you.

*edit* node list updated 13/4/14

UPDATED CONF FILE

My wallet has got stuck again, (at block 13314) - some of the nodes above seem to be on the wrong blockchain again. I have put together a new list of 'good' nodes, if you are having problems syncing please follow the steps above but use the following cleanwatercoin.conf file:

connect=107.170.217.4
connect=water.suprnova.cc
connect=95.85.45.65
connect=107.170.209.91
connect=67.231.63.31
connect=109.172.11.13
connect=107.170.89.103
connect=50.125.171.66

The whole blockchain should download again and be up to date. We are on block 13593 at time of writing.

Hey folks,

since this coin is a hassle over and over, I've decided to drop it and close the pool.

Please withdraw your remaining coins (dont withdraw more than 10k or it will fail due to the bug in the daemon).

I'll close the Pool by friday/saturday.

https://water.suprnova.cc

PS: To be honest, don't waste your time with this coin anymore, devs have no clue and support is nil

Honestly, this is the best pool CWC has.

This is beyond messed up!

The devs have been a total letdown up until now. What a waste...

Hey YouIsPeng I was getting stuck at 13314 as well.  I've been using your nodes and I'm still getting stuck at 13783 now.

This coin is dead.  I can't believe Zack said he just spent another 2.5 BTC to hire a new dev to implement features that were promised to the IPO shareholders and were never coded on release.  Don't scam on charity dude.  I'm sorry you put your real name on this.

Something weird is going on with some wallets out there, I don't know if people are running different settings or just leaving their wallets open blind without checking the forums?

Checked again and found just 2 nodes running up to date:

connect=107.170.209.91
connect=148.251.12.125

This synced me up to current block 13794.
