Are the wallets safe to use now? I thought they were fixed earlier but people still are saying there are issues. I am keeping my coins on the exchange until I am sure.

Mine is working perfectly fine. I am synced, transferring and minting.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Anyone get anyone the wallet to  to sync?

I used BrianB's method and I am not only synced but I am minting. Awesome  thanks man.
Anyone get anyone the wallet to  to sync? post your wallet address to test if it work.  I will sent 99 water give away to anyone post in this community until my fund deflate to get the coin alive again.  Thanks happy minning! Wink

Is anyone else mining? If so where and are you getting coins to confirm? I am mining at Pro Miners and getting blocks but my coins have not confirmed for around 6 hours.

I guess a better question is. Does anyone here know how to solo mine water with cgminer?

I am reading in the wallet that 12789 is the rpcport. So my bat looks like this

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o localhost:12789

is this right? Is there anything I need to put in the .conf?

Figured it out. I am solo mining so we will see what happens.

New update: Solo mined my first block ever. Awesome.

So I decided to try solo mining, and found a few blocks!  I then setup NOMP on my home server to see my own stats, and it's finding blocks! The network seems to be working!

The coins have not matured yet, so I don't know that I have payouts setup right yet. I'm not a pool OP, don't really want to be. Just glad to see stuff working with the coin!

For those that have been asking, we plan on having the official pool back up and working later this evening or first thing in the AM.

Will we finally be able to withdraw coins which are stuck in this pool?

That's great, thanks!

why is this coin not listed on coinmarketcap yet? I see them adding new coins all the time, but not CWC?

Wallet synced at block 16061.  Thank you for the advice BrianB. I'm looking forward to my coins maturing tomorrow so that I can start minting.  Smiley

By the way, I'm launching the wallet using this batch file.
Code:
cleanwatercoin-qt.exe -checklevel=5 -checkblocks=10000
I'm not too familiar with the -checklevel and -checkblocks commands but I thought it was worth giving them a try.  One of the functions of -checklevel is to verify that the transactions found in each block are on the main chain. The -checkblocks command determines how far back to look at previous blocks and verify that they are valid when starting up (default is 2500). It seems like using these commands might help to prevent accidentally ending up on the wrong fork. At least this is my understanding of how it works.  I'm still a noob, so feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Here is my address for the giveaway: 5csSoqd9q37Ktfn6XW3pZsq228x7yAfaqA

CleanWaterCoin, Great news on the official pool, thanks! Do you have any idea on when a new wallet will be released?

Also, is anyone planning on bringing a pool online when the new wallet hits?  If not, would there be any interest in me setting one up?  I have solved over 20 blocks on my test server and payouts are working fine.  I don't want to be a pool op really, but want to help the coin pick up in any way I can!

Brian

P.S.  If a few miners don't t want to solo mine but wants to earn a few coins, catch me in the irc channel (#cleanwatercoin on freenode) and i'll give you the info to mine on my test server for now.

We are recompiling the cloned coin this evening and doing a final test in the morning to see if we can reproduce those random TX bugs that some pools were having or some miners were experiencing when transferring various thresholds of coins -- so the Pool will most likely be up before the updated wallets.

I've been able to fix the "WARNING: Invalid checkpoint found!” error by deleting the block chain and syncing directly to one node that I think is correct.   For example, to sync to just the block explorer use connect=107.170.209.91 in the config file with no other addnode statements.  Once the block chain comes down and if the error goes away I would shut down the wallet and back up the block files so that if it happens again you won't have to wait for the entire chain and then change the config file back (use addnode=107.170.209.91 etc.) so that you connect to as many nodes as possible again.  (This is so that when you run PoS or PoW you will support the network best and not run into having as many blocks orphaned).  I hope this is the right approach, I'm new to this too, and just stating what I've done to fix the problem for myself. (Perhaps it would be nice if someone told us what the checkpoint server ip was so that we could sync to that if the error happens, or is this not the right approach?)

I've used the two latest conf files itt and I'm still getting "warning invalid checkpoint found"

I have deleted everything except the conf file and the wallet.dat many times.  I'm not exactly a wallet noob but I dunno what the deal is here.  Any suggestions?

using this conf file:
addnode=148.251.12.125
addnode=67.231.63.31
addnode=107.170.89.103
addnode=107.170.217.4
addnode=107.170.209.91
addnode=128.199.255.146
addnode=188.226.199.223
addnode=173.209.34.2
maxconnections=32

addnode=176.14.88.234
addnode=67.82.168.57
addnode=97.102.24.119
addnode=188.226.199.223
addnode=water.suprnova.cc
addnode=148.251.12.125
addnode=95.85.45.65
addnode=67.231.63.31
addnode=109.172.11.13
addnode=50.125.171.66

addnode=148.251.12.125
addnode=67.231.63.31

Also, count me in:
5YrqSGJMyeTRFeMawwxuiPoctwGzBAAMJE

edit:  I just got my first minting.

Wallet says "current number of blocks"
16076

{
"version" : "v1.6.0.0",
"protocolversion" : 60006,
"walletversion" : 60000,
"blocks" : 16076,
"moneysupply" : 479450656.37910199,

"difficulty" : 0.20802384,
"testnet" : false,
"errors" : "WARNING: Invalid checkpoint found! Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or notify developers."
}

And now I have the green checkmark but still have the error.
