However, I think he can still move to Lyon for the love he has for the club and help them to stay up in the league at the end of the season

Lyon is the club he once played for and perhaps there is a history of its own for Karim Benzema to return to strengthen the team. But if Karim Benzema asks for a big salary then I'm not sure Lyon will accept the deal because right now they need a lot of players to make the club stronger.
