Can you beat that? Because I didn't think that PSG would lose points in this very crucial game. And according to the statistics of the game, it seems like Rennes played better than them. Lille's remaining games are both against teams that have no goal left in the league. This means that they have a golden opportunity to reach the title. They can even guarantee it next week in case PSG lose points again.

is it just a strange season, or Lille has it with their team, cannot say that I watched many Ligue1 matches this season, but it is really disappointing for PSG fans, and thrilling for underdog fans (count me as one) for Lille to take the title, even more than eventual title for Lyon and Monaco, since Lille is a real underdog in top4

@snipe I don’t understand how PSG could draw that match so many world class player’s on the pitch playing for them, and yet they only manage to escape with a draw. Furthermore will they again splash cash in the transfer market to win the league title, because with the current team they’re unable to win anything.

Yeah Juggy777, PSG has a lot of top players but in fact only few of them are effective in most games... Navas, their goalkeeper saved them infinite times from a defeat. In CL they would be kicked early without him for example. Mbappe is the other star that kept scoring but didn't played due to the suspension and injury.. Half of goals were scored by Mbappe and Kean. Neymar performance is like tossing a coin to see if he can do something or not. Same goes for Draxler +/- Di Maria.
BTW Neymar signed until 2025 with PSG while Mbappe future isn't clear, his contract ends in 2022.
And yeah I agree that they will spend more soon, they have to fix especially the midfield and ofc their defense to be unstoppable. PSG this season was very disappointing in Ligue 1 although having one of the best stats regarding goals scored/received..

Lille has lost just 3 matches in this season. Lille has lost against weaker teams like Brest, Amgers and Nimes. Although Lille favorite in their upcoming matches. But I wouldn't be surprised if they will be defeated. Although the opponent of the two matches is weak, these match two is very important for Lille. And of course they have to play this two matches to win.

I agree with you, your analysis is pretty relevant in my opinion BuNga_cute, PSG will face Reims next week for the matchday number 37 and Brest for the last matchday of the Ligue 1 championship while Lille is to face Saint-Etienne and Angers for the 2 last matchdays of the season. PSG could easily get a draw against Reims on Sunday and even loses, so even if Lille loses against Saint-Etienne which is not expected, they will likely stay at their first place.

It looks like PSG does need a miracle in order to win the Ligue 1 trophy this season, hoping that Lille will lose the remaining 2 matches.
And PSG won the remaining two games, but such a miracle is very small will happen. Because Saint-Etienne and Angers are not a strong
team capable of beating Lille in my opinion. Even if PSG are not careful, Monaco can replace their position with only 2 points from PSG.

Lille can even draw with one of them and win the other game. They really have the luxury to do it which shows how big their advantage is now. Right, Lille might win but that doesn't mean it will be an easy win, because if I look at some of the previous away games St Etienne isn't that bad in reality. Indeed, the result is not always a win for St Etienne but at least they are able to make trouble for the home team like against PSG. They still have a chance, there is only 3 point difference and PSG could still get it. I mean this is to the last game type of situation and that is very risky for Lille. I really hope Lille wins it this year, that type of stuff always makes it very entertaining for watchers who are not fan of either team, and when the underdog wins that makes it a lot more fun to watch, if PSG was 10+ points ahead of everyone right now, that wouldn't be a shock that wouldn't be fun to watch that would be just expected but now we have ourselves a possibility of something like this.

This is why I want to see both teams win both games and make it a lot more entertaining right now, that would be great to watch. Obviously speaking PSG could still win, so Lille should be very careful but I would say that their winning chance is lower right now because of that tie.

PSG hammered Reims, they will probably do the same against Brest on Sunday. Exciting to the end here as well, with Monaco and Lyon fighting for the last CL spot as well.
