I see a very big potential that Monaco has, it's just that it's hampered by several obstacles that finally make them look different from usual.
Specifically talking about them in Ligue 1, they should also be able to be the main competitor for Paris Saint Germain, but it's a shame when they can't use what they have to do that. However, in the future if they can continue to improve, then I can be sure they will be able to be the main threat to Paris Saint Germain.

I don't think Monaco is a very strong team this season. I think Marseille is stronger than Monaco. Monaco's overall performance is stable. However, I would say that if Monaco wants to compete for the title, they need to strengthen their attack.

Monaco is currently in fourth place in the points table. Monaco's attack is not very strong. And I would say that this is Monaco's main weakness. In 18 matches, Monaco's players have scored 29 goals and conceded 20 goals. Monaco's defense is quite strong. However, if Monaco wants to compete for the title with a strong team like PSG, then Monaco definitely needs a stronger attack. It is difficult to perform consistently well without a strong attack. If Monaco management spends enough money to strengthen their attack, then maybe Monaco can compete for the Ligue 1 title next season.

Last season AS Monaco managed to finish in the runner-up position, it seems they will have difficulty finishing in the same position this season, due to the increasing performance of teams such as Marseille and Lille. In my opinion, the three teams are only able to compete for the Champions League ticket, they have not been able to break PSG dominance. It is not easy to compete with PSG if you do not have abundant financial resources, which can be used to build squad depth.

AS Monaco closed the first half of the season with a defeat, and in the last five matches they have only managed to win one. The pressure in the Champions League seems to make it difficult for AS Monaco to create consistency in Ligue 1, of course this can be overcome if they have better squad depth. PSG done good job against Manchester City last game against Stuttgart needed same level performance for jumping into top ranks Monaco win against Aston Villa is amazing because English clubs are also in good shape and winning game against them give good reward to Monaco. In league games, they are without win in last four games now hosting Rennes with must win game because in case of other result things can go into problematic for them and chances could be increase for them to have no chance for staying into top 4.

Monaco and PSG did well to represent the french teams in the champions league but Lille got defeated by Liverpool which isn't a bad result as it was just a 2- 1  win and considering how inform Liverpool are currently, it was a good game to end in such a narrow defeat. PSG comeback against Manchester city was the best game for the french clubs participating in the champions league but now all attention is to the league. Monaco plays against Rennes tomorrow and I think it'll be an easy win for Monaco. PSG will be facing Reims which they're also going to win. Brest didn't have a good game in the champions league but they'll be hoping to bounce back this weekend.

However, talking about their last match against Inter, I don't think that Monaco will be able to have any point in this match. Inter's position to qualify directly for the last 16 cannot be said to be safe so Inter will try their best to win this match by any means so that they do not need to go to the play off round, the clubs below them such as Milan and Atletico Madrid are only a point difference from Inter so if Inter loses to Monaco it will provide an opportunity for the clubs below them to shift Inter's position, I also don't think Monaco is able to beat Inter who are in good shape moreover Inter has better experience in the UCL.

I really appreciate their hard work to win this match, because after all the team they beat was not a team that can be underestimated, but they managed to maintain the advantage they managed to score at the beginning of the first half. At first before the match started, i thought that Aston Villa will win Monaco but after watching the match and saw the energy in the Monaco team, i applauded them for that win because it wasn't really easy for them no win Aston Villa because Aston Villa has a moderate performance in the Champions league and was even above Monaco in the table but after Monaco won them, they now have 13 points each and stand in 9th and 10th position respectively in the league table. Monaco is also among the top four teams in the France ligue 1 even though the fourth position does not give an automatic spot in the Champions league but it is a very considerate position.

Monaco will play Rennes later on today and looking at the performance and statistics of both teams, Monaco stands a better chance of winning since they are welcoming Rennes to their home ground but i just hope that they should not feel tiresome as a result of fatigue from the match they played against Aston Villa in the Champions League.

Marseille is second-best club in French League but due to their inconsistency they are not able to keep their momentum and having terrible last season, but now they are back with few good changes currently they are having good chance of ending at second spot.

Biggest problems in this league is funds; mostly clubs are having no luxurious sources like PSG just because of this not club able to challenge them for title race investment needs good attraction but here nothing is like few other leagues are bringing stability and competitiveness if organizers able to attack investors these clubs can go much better. In this season, Brest is worst in league, but their performance in Champions League is impressive, and they are going into next round which is the biggest success for them while PSG struggling in Champions League.

Same with Monaco, Lyon, Brest and several other teams because they were unable to maintain consistency after the season ended and finally got bad results in the following season. The problem happens every season and only PSG is the only team that can maintain performance so it is difficult for other teams to defeat them in the struggle for Ligue 1. Marseille looks better for this season but that does not provide guarantees in the next season they can maintain consistency such as Now.

Funds indeed make it difficult for some teams to develop the club because they do not have money to buy players like those owned by PSG so that it affects competition there that does not run competitively and only PSG is the only team that looks so strong.

Even if these guys are not as good as we want them to be, talking about Reims it still doesn't mean they won't fight with all they have and I expect them to have more of the ball too after all PSG players are a little bit stressed out due to the game they played in the champions league, if I'm to predict the score line I'd go for a 4-1 for the host.

I am quite happy because after all it is not interesting if the competition for the top 4 area is not tight, with this result Monaco is back in the competition.

I still find it hard to understand how Aston Villa became stuck. Monaco's defenders suffocated their attack; no room, no clean shoots. Salisu and Kehrer essentially lived in Villa's passing lanes. And you owe Adi Hutter credit for that; he has turned set pieces into a deadly weapon. Guys, when you're that good at corners and free kicks, it's hard for your opponents

Rennes now arrives, and they are no joke either. Still, Monaco's confidence is sky high. For a reason they sit top-four in Ligue 1 and have climbed to 13 points in Europe.
