Haaland is out with injury so I can see why Salah is topping the goalscorer table but I think Haaland would have been at the top of he hadn't been injured. Anyway I still do agree that Salah contributes a lot to the team with assists and goals. He is certainly a team player and I love watching in highly competitive matches. Still miss those days when Firmino, Mane and Salah were hard for the opponents to deal with.

I am just surprised to see Newcastle in their current position. They started the season with a very good performance, and I never expected their performance to drop. Newcastle is currently in 9th place with 29 points. Out of the last 6 Premier League matches played, they could only win 1 match and lose 5 matches, which is really a bad one for them. I don’t really think participating in the Champions League is the reason why Newcastle dropped in performance, because since they played their last Champions League match and they lost to AC Milan, they have played 4 Premier League matches and lost 3 out of the 4 matches played. Newcastle is no longer playing the Champions League, so they should be back to form, but their performance keeps on dropping.

They started well, and their performance has remained average to this day. And one thing is certain: Newcastle will not win anything because they do not even have that chance.They can't even make the top 5 as they typically do every season in ninth place. Truly the reason can not be champions league, they are getting weaker and need more energetic players to feeling some space. Newcastle actually did lost to much matches that will cost them in losing points and position.  And for a while now this should be among the worst seasons for Newcastle.

Liverpool were actually dominant throughout the game and they deserved to win. The amount of goals Newcastle is conceding recently is setting up a bad record for the team especially in away matches. The goalie deserves a very applaud for his excellent performance yesterday otherwise Newcastle would have conceded more than five goals or even more. Yes, because they are capable of competing at the premier league. This is my reasons;

1. They have good and worthy players to compete with other players in their own club for example Alexandra lsak, Joelinton, and Almiron etc.

2. They are a worthy opponent to other clubs because of their good and quality players, so they have the potentials of competing at the premier league stage.

3. They are rich, they can afford the money to buy better and quality players to add to the rest to compete at the premier league stage. some these are some facts that will show you that Newcastle is able to compete at the premier league stage.

I want to see Manchester City do it like they did last season, you can see that despite that Liverpool won their last match to send Newcastle remained in their position, Manchester City is more closer than I thought even with their shake down in performance last three weeks. They don't give up, it's the reason why I like them, with their 20th match, a win against Newcastle will give them a new move to stand in the second place and with that, they need just one more win to come back to where they were before Arsenal was giving his people false hope only to fall down from first place to unstable 4th place.

But if we are to be honest, isn't it better we see new teams actually win the Premier League this season. Enough of Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea who use to be the favorite. It's even better is Aston villa slowly keep winning and surprise everyone in the last day of the Premier League season. It reduce monopoly and equilibrium between the League and the teams including the once that have been dancing between top 6 and relegation try and push harder.

Newcastle United are now one of the few clubs owned by the Arabs in recent times and that’s one sweet thing as now they’ve got enough money to get some signings done. But the fear of most players is that this club is not really an elite club yet. An elite club is one who has frequently appeared in the UCL and for this to be done they’ve got to finish in at least 4th place on the league’s table.

 Based on current form the UCL hope is quite dim and if they dont qualify for it, then I don’t think they’ll be able to have any big name signing rather settle for average players fgand try to keep building up. Well let’s see how the 2nd phase of the league goes and what Eddie can do with this his Newcastle side who’re out of shape already. He have lots of work to do and failure to act fast might make them lose out on major competitions.

Liverpool are playing very good football at the moment and I hope they continue like this. They are the only team I see that can stop Manchester city from claiming the league title, but one major problem that they are going to face is losing Salah for the next one month to the national team. Can they still maintain this form till Salah gets back?

To be honest, Liverpool is performing admirably right now. Liverpool's performance has been encouraging, and I hope it continues. Even the game versus Newcastle yesterday was unexpected. Imagine Liverpool winning that game with four goals, an incredible display of skill. Salah had a strong game; he changed his boot at halftime after missing a penalty in the first half. He worked very hard and scored three goals in second half. Without Salah, I have no doubt that Liverpool will be able to continue playing well. With their current performance, they have the potential to dominate the league this season.
