If we take the current condition of the standings into account, Manchester United will have to put up a really good fight to be able to qualify for the Champions League next season. And finishing in top four would also be an achievement for them also. Because they aren't in a solid shape yet and their general performance has been really poor for a long period of time. But of course, a team like Manchester United must always aim to win the Premier League title. Maybe they can be serious about it next season.

Well actually if United win the UCL then they would get to group stage next season as well. The team is not really in a bad shape right now, I've seen worst so this is much better however they are not going to win against a top team if they keep on playing like. Feeling confident that they might make up for it on the next game especially if it is just an away game against Burnlet that sits at the bottom right now

Its going to be sucks big time if the team dont get 3 points on this

They would be grateful even if they finish the season at the fourth position in the worst case. Because their job will be really difficult in even making this happen. We shouldn't have high expectations for United, but normally you always have the problem that Manchester City take a lot of points. And Liverpool too. I think united can stay ahead of the rest, but those two seem to be on a different level. We could still win a match. I think United should be happy if they make it to Champions League football and finish 4th. That's going to be a lot of work, we still have Chelsea.

But, what is required from them now is to play their next matches more carefully and avoid losing points. In order for them to maintain their present position. West Ham are a point behind them, any slight mistake might result to them dropping from the top 4. While, It won't be nice, if United probably ends this season outside the top 4.

What's funny about this statement is the fact that we have been saying the same thing about Man Utd every season for the past 2-4 season since Ole was in charge. Heck, I don't even remember the last time Man Utd won a major title/trophy. It's that long. This has gone beyond not having the right players to get the job done because there's plenty of top players and big names on that team.

Qualifying for next season champions league looks more like a dream than reality for Manchester United right now considering how the EPL table is shaped right now. Manchester United are in 4th position and just 2 points ahead of Tottenham who are currently in 7th position and have played 2 games fewer than Manchester, if they should win those 2 games they’d be 4 points ahead of Manchester United. So if United really wants to stay in the 4 position they need to work and fight for it.

Manchester united is still recoperating...the team needs to wake up I thought the signing of Christiano Ronaldo would be the magic they need to get on the leader board but that has not been the case. Ronaldo's return to Man Utd felt like a really good deal during the first few weeks but the story is quite different now. Although, I'd admit that he has had some "aha" moments since returning (see Atalanta in UCL) - but these on and off performances hasn't looked good for a player of his caliber. Can't say I blame him much considering most players in this man utd team hasn't been impressive as well.

There is actually going to be a very big challenge for the top four this season,with Arsenal and West Ham eying that spot with them.

Arsenal are hopeful they will return to the top four this season after being outside the top four for years,after Arsene Wenger left the team.And this season has been a season they marked to return back into the top four.

I wonder what's a better Man United for you? Is it winning the PL or other titles?

There have been improvements in their standings for the last three seasons,
- 2018-2019 Sixth place
- 2019-2020 Third place
- 2020-2021 Second place

You may hate Ole but you could give at least give him credit for that. He's probably done better than Mou.

Between the teams fighting for the top four who really need to strengthen its squad this January transfer window most. Manchester United, arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.united needs creative midfielders, arsenal need a striker and Tottenham need a right back and a central midfielder.

Tottenham and Arsenal are the two clubs that need to boost their squad with midfielders and one striker in this January transfer window, in the last match Arsenal against Burnley, the gunners only has many academy players on their bench, without Partey and Xhaka both are on suspension, having loaned Ainsley Maitland-Niles to Roma a big setback for the team, while I salute the technical ability of Conte as the manager of Tottenham doing a great job with the few quality players at his disposal, though he doing well, however signing two to three quality players will help the team top 4 aspiration.

I think Arteta have done well for arsenal this season considering the lock of players in some crucial areas and considering that there isn’t really much star player in the club just like you see in man city, arsenal  have been behind in scoring goals lately and I think they need to get a more creative midfielder, someone that can move the ball to the opposite box and create some goals. Conte lost his first EPL match against Chelsea last week and we can understand he lost again a better team, there is still enough room for improvements for him and the players , hopefully next season we can see Tottenham as title contenders.

I think Manchester United need more midfield players than wingers right now, from their previous games we can clearly see they can’t keep possessions and since they can’t , they cannon dominate games as well. We all know Fred an Mac and matic cannot do the job, they need a holding midfielder right now, someone that can balance the midfield from attract to defense, a player like Ndidi or Rice, they are top holding midfielders right now. And the way this are right now we are not sure Paul pogba will renew his contract, so Manchester United should be scouting for midfielders now.

Yes, the problem at Manchester United does seem to be how to fit all these individuals together to become a great team. If you have the 11 best players in the world and put them together, chances are you won't make the best team in the world. The problem at Man U is how to make sure they create a solid, cohesive unit, and that there are no weaknesses as a team. Individual weaknesses are less of a concern, as they can be covered by other players' strengths.

That problem start from the coach, if you had a top top coach, he began his job by uniting his players and bring harmony to the squad, then his level of discipline comes into play, he removes the bad eggs from the team and  only those that play for the badges will compete with him.coaches like that are pep guadiola, Klopp,Conte,allegri and simeone( the Atletico Madrid coach). That's why they are the best.

Declan Rice have long time rumors will join for Manchester United after EURO 2020 with impressive performance but almost six months later still not any deal negotiation between Declan Rice and Manchester United or West Ham United as previous club for Declan Rice. I think Manchester United really important need midfielder position than winger because they have many option on winger position from Rashford, Jadon Sacho, Linggard and Mason Greenwood. Just have weakness on midfielder position filled by Fred and Matic because not consistent performance in this season,

Yes, I realize they have to work in a team way but when there is a star and respected player who is still obsessed with scoring goals, Ronaldo will always be the target man there. Although indeed, when watching the match it looks normal, but I'm sure there will always be competition between them to still look good, so that when there is a substitution, the player cannot fully accept it.

This is the point. Man United had a tradition of keeping coaches for a long time, even when things didn't go well. Even Sir Alex Ferguson had very bad seasons.

The first choices they made when Sir Alex Ferguson left left "damage" in the club, which is still to be resolved. And they haven't given time for good coaches to reorganize the team and get back on track. They need to stop and create a strategy to think about the future, and look for a good coach who is willing to develop a project in the medium term.

Who will be the coach? The current one is not sure. We'll see who they find for that job.

I think every team needs to have a target man with reasons as a strategy that can break the opponent's concentration in defense. The target man will be the center of attention of opposing players and keep him tight while other players should be able to play freely without thinking too much. I'm not sure what the problem is, but one of the most likely things is that another team has better quality than the Manchester United players.

When I compare Manchester United with Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool then I only see Ronaldo who is the difference in the Manchester United team while the others are not on par with many of the top players of other teams. So the problem is not only the ability of the coaches, but also they don't have players who can match the quality of the top players belonging to other teams.
