I expected a draw with goals at the end of the Aston Villa vs Manchester United game and it happened. But to be honest, it was really surprising at the same time. Because Manchester United were playing comfortably and they got a 2-0 score advantage too. But in a very short time period, Aston Villa scored two consecutive goals and the game ended up with a 2-2 draw. Manchester United are still lacking in defense.

Maguire and Lendelof are not good enough for Manchester United,they are not a top four club kind of defenders,they might be okay for clubs like west ham and Leicester city not Manchester United. United did everything well in attack but their defence did not maintain high concentration that's why it ended a draw.

The main problem in Manchester United since the beginning of the season is in their defense, they did buy Varane but I think he is not enough to cover the weakness. There is also a missing position in the squad, it is defensive midfielder who are connecting the defense with the attacking side. Most of the midfielders in the United's squad is typical of offensive midfielder who can help while they are attacking their opponent but they cant help in defending from attack.
 

It’s not that Varane is not enough to cover Man United at the back.  It’s just showing how washed Varane is and they shouldn’t have acquired him for whatever kind of money they got him for.  And I’m pretty sure they paid a lot.

And yeah Matic and McTominay are just whatever.. They’re not players thats should playing for Man United at this point.  Fred too, sadly.  I thought he was goingto do well in the EPL.  Pep was supposed to get him but United acted first in the transfer market.  Pep dodged a bullet there.  Lol.

They have Bruno, Tominay, De Beek, Fred, Sancho, Rashford, Greenwood and I see Tominay can play as a defensive midfielder. But if a team rely on a defensive midfielder to protect their defense system, it is wrong. Something seriously wrong because one player can not protect a whole defense system. Other players have to contribute to create pressure on opponents and reduce pressure or risk on defense system. Issues with Manchester United are not only in that position but also in their whole system which looks to be very weak, not united and broken.

Man United's game in the first half was actually quite good, and Ronaldo's absence did not have a significant impact at the beginning of the match. Bruno managed to execute passes from his team very well, so Man United took the lead early on. But in the end they played off guard to let Aston Villa equalize. All his teams were lulled by their temporary wins at the start, it's natural for Bruno to be frustrated with the results they should have won if they weren't careless from the defensive side.


The interesting thing after this, it was Westham who were defeated by Leeds in the first round. In their match Leeds were much more aggressive than Westham, but was this really a strategy from the start to let their opponent take the lead first? However, Westham should be superior in terms of their journey so far to reach 4th place. Don't be like Man United who were beaten by a lower team and Westham who are currently against Leeds.

Yeesh but we had some really close calls with Brentford. Still on a knife's edge I'd say. Enjoying possession, but really careless almost arrogant passing from the back to give some great chances to Toney and co, but we've paid off with a goal from a setpiece. As long as we keep their corners count low, we should be fine. Two more goals, Jota and Hendo, and I'm very happy!

Manchester United defenders often make blunders that are detrimental to their own team and this is Manchester United's weak point this season, although successful in getting Varane but this is not enough because often Maguire and Lindolf make blunders that are detrimental to their own team and even give the opposing team a chance to score from the penalty spot. Should Manchester United looking for an alternative to a tandem for Varane in the remainder of the second half of the Premier League season, there is still hope for Manchester United to return to the top 4 position.

Leeds are playing very well, they give everything on the field to break away higher from the relegation zone. So, we survived without Salah and Mane after all
Brentford is a Championship level team but they have been doing well this season, it's good for confidence that we scored 3 goals without our best attacking options.

We only have 1 league game left to play without them (Palace away) and 2 cup games.

West Ham surprisingly lost to Leeds, but I never believed they could maintain a serious top 4 challenge until the end.

Leading two goals from Bruno, and have some excellent saves from De Gea but in the end, they got 1 point.

Fun fact, Bruno hasnt score quite a while and he scored two in this game while Ronaldo wasnt on the field. Its been a while since he carried the team and I kinda missed this though. I thought the 3 points was secured though, leading with 2 goals until 70 minutes and it was only against Aston Villa which should be an easy 3 points yesterday

The change of coach made by Manchester United this season has really failed to improve their performance, if we pay attention so far the actual performance of under coaching Solskaer and Rangnick is not much different, and even in my opinion Rangnick coaching performance is actually worse than Solskjaer so far, from dailymail saying that now Manchester has prepared several names of new coach candidates to replace Rangnick .

Their defence was poor and given the status of their team they should have a solid defence. Aston Villa took quite some shot but in the end they put enough pressure and scored goals past De Gea to draw the game. Even there was a shot taken in the ending phase which would have taken well would have ended in the back of the net. I would say it was not that bad from United compared to their earlier performances but still they need to work a lot.

Despite playing without Salah and Sadio Mane, Liverpool can still play well and they managed to score 3 goals without reply. With the acquisition of these 3 points, Liverpool successfully snatched 2nd place which was previously occupied by Chelsea. Besides that Liverpool also have a chance to get close to Man City because they still have 1 game less than Manchester City.

I read the news from the same source yesterday and I don't think it would surprise me if it actually happened with Manchester United.

Rangnick is only interim manager for Manchester United until the end of the season in my opinion. His contract with Manchester United expires at the end of June 2022, so it's only natural that Manchester United are eyeing another coach they might keep for several seasons. Simone Inzaghi has been on Manchester United's radar for his success with Inter, while Pochettino is also reportedly interested in coaching Manchester United. These two managers may be good for Manchester United, but are you sure Manchester United is just having problems with the current coach?

Another win for Liverpool in the bag as Brentford did not show much of any fight in them which helps the reds close the gap between them and Manchester city by eleven points with a game in hand on their side. But looking at the gap does Liverpool stand any chance of closing it with the few games left to go, i dont think so. All what is left is for them to cement their top 2 finish and try to prepare for champions league football now.

Liverpool showed their strength in a great way by dominating their Brentford game today. I really admired them in this game too even in the absence of Salah and Mane. They are playing like a machine and got a very well-deserved 3-0 win also. But the most interesting result was in the West Ham - Leeds game. Leeds somehow managed to get an unbelievable win by 3-2 in an away game. West Ham are one of the strongest teams in the PL now actually. I don't know how they lost this game home.

Chelsea maintained the 6-point difference with West Ham thanks to Leeds today. Because Leeds got a really unexpected win against West Ham away. Leeds got ahead three times in the game and were close to scoring their fourth goal too if it wasn't disallowed because of an offside. But they still won by 3-2 which was the most important point here. And in the other game, Liverpool beat Brentford easily by 3-0 home. This showed that they are still a very solid team even if they don't have some of their crucial attacking players.

Really disappointed to see West Ham lost to Leeds Utd with 2:3. Expected West Ham to move up to 2nd place with the win Leeds Utd but unfortunately lost. Happy to see Liverpool moving over Chelsa to 2nd place which is really awesome to see. And expected Man Utd to win as well. They were leading in the 1st half with a goal but Aston Villa seemed to be on fire with 2 goals in the 2nd half at 77th and 81st minutes (in less than 5 minutes ) which lead them draw the match. I am sure, Man Utd was under pressure in last 10 minutes.

To me the most exciting Match thjs weekend was Westham vs Leeds united, Leeds and Westham were all guns blazing an the strikers razors sharp it's a pity Westham had to lose the match but they should not carry any shame with them it was a great performance, also congratulations to liverpool Brentford could be too much to handle but klopp's men did a good job.
