True, Manchester United can only maintain the 6th position in the league to end this season. There's not much they can do with 2 games remaining so it's definitely going to complicate the points chase a bit. Because too many opportunities have been wasted by Manchester United in the last match, they now only have to stay away from West Ham points.

Mathematically, Man United still manages to at least reach fourth place. Is this easy? Not. Had to expect Arsenal to lose a lot of points, as well as Tottenham. Therefore, even if mathematically it is possible for them to be in a better position, it is very unlikely that this will happen.

Looking at Leeds United remaining games, they have Arsenal, Chelsea, Brighton and Brentford. I don’t see them picking up to 6points from the 12 available points. Because they’re definitely going to lose to Arsenal and Chelsea. Everton are performing well currently and they have easier fixtures compared to Leeds United, so i am sure they will leave the relegation zone if they maintain their form. While Burnley have won 3 of their last 4 games. It shows how prepared they are in this relegation battle. They also have easier fixtures except against Tottenham. Leeds looks unlucky because they have the London teams to play and I’m not sure they’ll get anything from those games, which will give their fellow competitors a chance to stay up.

That Everton win against Chelsea really surprised me, it looked like they were favourites for relegation, but now it's wide open again. I'd agree that probably Leeds look most likely to take the third relegation spot, not least because their goal difference is so much worse than Everton's or Burnley's - if Everton or Burnley finish on the same points as Leeds, then they are safe. Leeds know they need to finish at least one point higher.

That was the biggest surprise of the week,I bet no one except avid fans of Everton did bet on them to win the game against Chelsea.On the other side that is the beauty of football as they say the ball is round so you cannot really predict what will happen in a game and we have also seen this happening not only in Premier League but also in the French League as Paris has much better players than every other team there,yet they lost and draw a couple of games,so yes as long as the ball is round no one can predict what will happen in the green field.

I wouldn’t say I was surprised of Chelsea’s defeat to Everton because of one or two reasons. Firstly after Frank Lampard's first defeat to Newcastle United, he has only lost two home games and it was against Manchester city which was a controversial game and also against Wolverhampton. I know they to have a good home record. They defeated Manchester United at Goodison park. Also couple with the fact that they’re fighting relegation I expected a tight game. I charge them to take this spirit into the remaining 5 games and grab some crucial points so they can stay above the red zone.

And Tottenham are fifth with 61 points, expecting both teams to err in the remainder of the game to draw or lose.

Congrats to Manchester United! They got a decent win indeed by 3-0. They lost points three weeks in a row before this match so this win must be like a medicine for them. But they are very late to compete for the Champions League I'm afraid. This time, we will see Manchester United going directly to the Europa League group stage seemingly. You are missing something my friend, you think Tottenham will win Liverpool in their next match because they are closer to the top four? I can even vouch for Arsenal a little bit that they can defeat Leeds United and still maintain their place. Arsenal is lucky to be ahead of Tottenham and its very easy for Manchester united to fight for that place but I don't think they can come close to where arsenal is, even if Manchester United manage to come to draw points with Arsenal, they wouldn't go to champions league because Arsenal has more goal difference than them.

Lol, of all the teams in the EPL standings so far, only Manchester United have played 36 matches, while the other teams have just played 33, 34 and 35 matches. That way, Manchester United only had 2 matches left and then finished without being able to finish in the top four. Because the two competing teams above are Arsenal and Tottenham have just played 34 matches of course, by having 4 matches left for Arsenal and Tottenham they will still be in 4th and 5th place. I am of the opinion that this season has to be one of the best English Premier League seasons in a while. With very few games left and there’s still title winner, top four, and relegation battle ongoing intensely. I think Arsenal are favorite to clinch the fourth spot ahead of their London neighbor - Tottenham Hotspur and deservingly so. Arsenal have been able to get away with the wins against Chelsea and Manchester United and that's commendable. A win against Spurs will end everything.

Manchester United did a good job there about defeating Brentford 3-0. They didn't dominate the match maybe but they still got what they wanted from this match with a very solid result. They must have missed to win matches with this kind of comfortable results. However I don't still think that they have any chance left for the Champions League. They were maintaining this chance a few weeks ago. But they wasted it by losing two times and drawing with Chelsea after. From now on, they had better not lose the sixth place. And maybe they can have the fifth place but nothing more than that.

This does help them a little bit with their europa league chances, but to be fair that was all they could hope for to begin with. It really doesn't look good to me if you ask me, they should have been doing much better by now. I know for sure that they would be doing something decent for this game, they have been losing way too many times and last win was like 4-5 games ago so they were definitely coming out for a win this game.

But, they are fighting to stay in the europa league levels and that is a shameful thing for a team this size. They have paid so much for their players and spent so much money on salaries only to finish 6th? Thats a shame really.

Selfishness is what has eaten up the Manchester united at large. Each time the play as a team the try to win their matches but once their self glory sets in they flop it down. I won't blame Rangnik that much he tried his best but lost grip over his club. Once Ten Hag  comes  in next season the first step is to recycle the club for me sell off all the players if possible and start a new Manchester united from scratch

To me I don't think there is any hope for Manchester United in the top 4 this season, though they won Brentford, what we need to know is that the team lost consistency in winning match. To me the top 4 is not settled, arsenal and Tottenham, really needs to be more careful the both doesn't have much gap between themselves. Though Tottenham Will be facing Liverpool in their next game, and I don't think they can beat Liverpool, though Tottenham recent form is encouraging, It won't be a easy match for the both teams, with the look of things they both needs the point.

It's a natural fanatic reaction so just let them be hehe. The battle for fourth is just between Arsenal and Tottenham for realist fans. Even Chelsea is not so safe at third anymore and they could drop one place if they have another bad resultike what happened at Goodison Park.
