The victory that MU got today was a very sweet victory, because this result helped to strengthen MU position to be in the UEL group stage qualification next season, hopefully in the remaining 3 matches MU will win and keep UEL's chances. If they lose, chances are they can only play in the European Conference League. the point gap between West Ham and MU is only 6 points, meaning that if they have lost 2 times and West Ham has won, MU position maybe shifted by West Ham.

The win was a big boost for them and all thanks to Ronaldo he has been a big help to the team this past week and also bringing back their UEL hope for next season. There is only one limiting factor that Liverpool has and that is chasing all the trophies available. They already have one trophy with them in England which they beat Chelsea at the finals.
They are already at the finals of Champions league. They are also seriously contending for Premier league title and they also have FA Cup finals against Chelsea.
These finals is too much for them as they appear too good. It will not be a fair football if Liverpool wins all these finals and that is the only limiting factor to them.
Apart from the above hypothesis, Spurs is nobody to Liverpool as there is no football club in the world now that will not be afraid of Liverpool when they meet.

It has been another hugely disappointing season for Manchester United who are set to endure another trophyless campaign, their fifth in succession. They neither showed the character nor the temperament needed in any of season-defining games, especially against these top teams. And any team that plays like that, as if nothing was at stake deserves nothing. Manchester united have been a big letdown this season, but they could’ve salvaged their season with a top-four finish had it been they took it seriously in those games where they were sharing points with midtable teams. After losing to Arsenal, I knew it was over. Now the Europa League will be their abode next season.

Defensive zone is the most weakest part of Manchester United but it does not mean in midfield or attacking zones, there is no issue. They have issues from defense to midfield and attacking areas that result in unstable performance. In some matches, defense is terrible but is covered by attacking system. In some other matches, they can not score goals because of attacking players. In most terrible matches, all play badly and they have big defeats.

They will have some expired players in summer like Pogba and other players will leave the club. I don't believe their new coach, Ten Hag will build up his plan with so many current players in Old Trafford.

To me I don't think there is any hope for Manchester United in the top 4 this season, though they won Brentford, what we need to know is that the team lost consistency in winning match. To me the top 4 is not settled, arsenal and Tottenham, really needs to be more careful the both doesn't have much gap between themselves. Though Tottenham Will be facing Liverpool in their next game, and I don't think they can beat Liverpool, though Tottenham recent form is encouraging, It won't be a easy match for the both teams, with the look of things they both needs the point.

I agree with your words that Manchester United is unlikely to be among the best teams in the Premier League this season. Arsenal and Tottenham are still out of reach for Manchester United in terms of points, but MU still have a chance to get into the top five. In the upcoming match with Liverpool, Tottenham has almost no chance of winning, so this gives the opportunity for Manchester United to catch up if MU beats Brighton & Hove Albion, which is quite possible.
