Indeed it was surprising seeing how Manchester United lost all their chances to defeat Aston Villa that all other teams are defeating both home and away but the Red Devils found it difficult to do the same and not only that, Aston Villa scored 3 goals under their first 48 minutes.
Out of all the top teams that are under performing this season, Manchester United have more chance of making it to top 4 but it seems the more they approach the top the more they do some regrettable mistakes else if not for today mistakes, they should be ahead of Tottenham today after they failed to defeat Liverpool but even with that, Liverpool are still far behind.

Aston Villa were surprisingly marvelous today, they had a very good performance today dominating and controlling the game in both halves, when Manchester United came out with much pressure I thought Aston Villa would succumb to the pressure and let United get an equalizer but they proved they were not to be underestimated and showed resilience through out the game. A well deserved win today for Emery and Aston Villa and I hope they can continue this way until the World cup break.

I wouldn't say Aston Villa's performance was unexpected. Manchester United's performance has been unstable since the beginning of the season. They cannot consistently perform well. And though they have earned points in a few matches. But I don't think their performance was very good.
Manchester United's performance in today's match was bad. The main reason for the poor performance of the players seems to me to be their tactical weakness. Their match strategy was not good, so the performance of the players was also poor. Ronaldo was in the squad today but he flopped as usual. Ronaldo did not play well. Because Ronaldo's chemistry with team players is not good. So it is difficult for Ronaldo to perform well.

A fantastic 1st half performance from Liverpool, and a horrible 2nd one. We were lucky to get all the points tonight, but should have put the game to bed before Kane's goal.

Our 1st away win in the PL this season, let's build on that, win against Southampton at Anfield and then regroup after the World Cup.
The season's still long and we have 3 trophies left to play for, but a finish in the top 4 must be secured as well.

This is the right time to come back in the track. If Liverpool plays seriously, I hope they will be able to secure their position in top four. In this season Arsenal and Manchester City are playing so good and I think it will be running for both team. Theirs nobody that will believe that Aston villa will defeat Manchester united, because everyone knows the strength of Manchester united, so Aston villa just surprised everyone, even me I'm astonished concerning the wining, i don't have anyone to be blame in that in Manchester united, but i only tagged it as luck.

The reality today is that Manchester United didn't live up to all the fans' expectations. They lost surprisingly after in the last few matches appear rather satisfactory. Aston Villa turned out to be different, they controlled the first half and the beginning of the second half and managed to punish Manchester United by not scoring through their own players without an own goal Jacob Ramsey.

Without Varane it looks like Martinez is not really able to keep his defense perfectly so Manchester United must concede 3 goals in this match. So it's true that Aston Villa really shouldn't be underestimated even if they have been inconsistent so far.

Liverpool had a very good game today. I hope they can build momentum from this win and get back to winning ways. It would be nice for them to win their upcoming matches before going to the world cup.

Yeah they did have a very good game, but Liverpool are yet to convince me this season. Even after a big win like this one, i still do not trust Liverpool to start winning and make a good run in the league, Spurs know very well how to crumble when they meet a big team, they lack character and they cannot dig deep to get victories, i never expected them to beat Liverpool, but i thought they would at least get a draw from this game. Sometimes i wonder what Conte tells his players before the start of every game, their initial approach is always to be very cautious and wait for a break, they won't win trophies in that way. Having said that, Liverpool are definitely not in the title race, thus they just have to continue fighting and see whether they can make the top four, though it would be extremely difficult for them.

There was no need to meet a prophet to predict Chelsea and Arsenal match. When I entered the football hall and when the match as stated I just knew that Arsenal would win the match. This is one of the match that players received yellow cards.
Arsenal possession of ball was very much okay and stable in the midfield.

In this match, Arsenal once again proved that they are a team that deserves to be champions. Chelsea played fully defensively throughout the match. Their sole aim was to counter Arsenal's attacks and draw the match goalless. But the performance of Arsenal's players was very good. They managed to win the match 1-0. And 2 points ahead of Manchester City.

I do not think it was surprisingly, it was a woeful performance right from the kick off, with poor performances being rewarded by ETH again this season. Emery's performance at Villarreal last season surprised me especially as they beat Bayern in the Champions League and now he's moved to Aston Villa with another surprise.
Aston Villa's performance in Emery's debut was really very good, especially considering the opponent is Manchester United who are very seeded.
Hopefully this will not only be a debut for Emery and Aston Villa because they still need a win to improve their current position.

A good start, era and debut performance from Emery I hope he will be consistent in subsequent matches, it's been long Aston Villa defeated Man Utd on their home ground precisely since 27 years ago it's remarkable and well deserved win thus pushed Aston Villa through to 13th position on the table, Man Utd was very poor today and Erik Ten Hag playing Ronaldo as well captain the team couldn't make any positive impact, their defence wasn't solid I think since Varane got injured that defence line had been struggling likewise their midfield was nothing to write home about today.

In this match it also seemed that Ten Hag had tried a few new schemes at the start because seeing Van De Beek and Garnacho and Rashford playing on different sides was definitely a surprise for me.

Liverpool got a really important win for themselves truthfully. After losing against easy opponents such as Nottingham and Leeds this was going to be a much tougher matchup for Liverpool. This was the time they needed a win the most in the end. But we really watched a different Liverpool compared to those matches. I believe it was a deserved win.

Tottenham were actually close to making the score 1-1 after Salah scored. But Perisic's attempt was saved by Alisson and came back from the post. Perisic's another goal attempt later in the match came back from the post once again. He was really unlucky. Dier made a huge mistake on Salah's 2nd goal. Maybe things could have really been different for Tottenham. Kane actually didn't find the goal too late but they continued to waste important chances after that and couldn't prevent the loss. By the way Kulusevski's return was really good with an assist.

Manchester United lost today's match only because of their poor defense. The performance of Manchester United's defenders today really surprised me. The performances of defenders and goalkeepers were very poor. Aston Villa scored three goals in today's match. But they did not play an attacking strategy in this match. Still they managed to score three goals. Aston Villa made a total of 6 shots in this match. 4 of these were on target. Manchester United was badly beaten in today's match due to the poor performance of defenders and de Gea.

Emery taking over at Aston Villa is a positive development, yeah we all know about Emery's effect on teams. His time at Arsenal wasn't a long one but it was productive, I expect same productivity at Aston Villa. Certainly Aston Villa will improve under Emery and be a successful team. We saw a glimpse of this improvement in the game today against Manchester United, Kudos to Emery.

Emery's debut was quite sweet in the EPL but obviously things like this should not be used as satisfaction because his work at Aston Vila is still quite a lot especially they will face Manchester United back at Old Trafford in a few days even though it is in a different competition.
But with this they are out of the danger zone and although the position is still not very safe considering the point is still quite close.

I am surprised at this result that a club like Aston villa has recorded against a club like Manchester United. I heard a new coach just started a job at Aston villa, maybe he has inspired the players in the team to play better, and maybe the players are playing better to keep themselves on the good side of the new coach. Whatever the reason, they have a result they can celebrate. After this big win for them, it is expected that they win their next game against Brighton and get themselves up from their current position on the league.

On the other hand, currently Manchester United is still lacking in defense.
Aston Villa's performance was very good but United's defense was also poor.
The first goal and the third goal scored by Aston Villa could actually be prevented if their defense line was swift. There are around 4 to 5 players but still letting the Aston Villa players free on the ball is too much in my opinion.

Liverpool is a real riddle right now. Beating the big clubs and losing against the weakest teams. They probably can hardly believe themselves what's going on. Nobody would have guessed that Liverpool will be behind 15 points after just 13 games. They have beaten Newcastle, Manchester City and Tottenham while losing these weird games against Leeds and Nottingham.

Barcelona is said to be interested in signing Klopp, but his manager already said that Klopp will under no circumstances step down on his own from Liverpool. There is a scenario though that he fails to deliver. When would Liverpool take action? I believe their relationship is very close and they wouldn't fire him anytime soon if he doesn't deliver perfect results.

Now as we are heading for International break specially as you describes after losing matches against teams like Nottingham Forest and Leeds United because after these mostly were feeling now they are going down and out, but this win will bring good confidence booster and good energy which will help them for having better results and strategy in coming matches because now after break we will be in second phase of this season which could be hard and long because now after this break we will have around 24 matches, so things can change for them.

And they can fight for their higher spot which is surely not easy as right now three teams are on same level form and difference from fourth team is seven points which is surely not easy to fill with Manchester United and Chelsea both are also doing their best for better results.

The situation is not good, to be honest, yes. They have no choice but to be patient and wait for new players. I thought to be honest this season Chelsea would be able to compete hard in the top 5, but it's not there yet, and if it is, it will be in the second half of the season, because there will be a big break for the World Cup soon

Chelsea's condition is getting more difficult after there are problems everywhere.
From last season their officials left and of course this will affect their performance, Tuchel's performance has not improved because indeed the change of officials can obviously be a bottleneck especially after some policies about releasing a lot of their players.
Now Potter is also busy with the condition of the players as Chelsea are still unstable but have had to leave some of their core players due to injuries which will make it difficult for them towards the second half of the season.

Maybe these players will be able to recover properly by the second half of the season. We also have to take into account the World Cup, which will start soon. If any of the Chelsea players get injured there, then the situation will be pitiable, yes, but so far all is not lost in my opinion. We should also keep in mind that it can happen to any team, not just Chelsea.

It will be really difficult for Chelsea's defence to withstand the attack in the game, I expected a win for the Gunners.

Yep, it is the first match for Unai Emery managing Aston Villa on the field. And this debut ended with a happy result for him.

For Man United, they are unlucky because of the absent of Antony and Varane. These two players are the key players for Man United squad now. Without these players, you must be aware that Man United game isn't as effective as usual.
