Things are getting really worse for the Premier League by every week we leave behind. Among the remaining matches, I see that the Aston Villa v Chelsea match is an interesting one. Chelsea really need a win so badly now. But with Gerrard, Aston Villa have started playing really solid. Chelsea have a really hard job to do but I still believe that they can win somehow.

Leicester who had a two-zero lead in just under 20 minutes, I thought they had managed to secure their place in the Carabao Cup semifinals, but in fact Liverpool, who fielded second-tier players, could even equalize the score in the final minutes of the game and make the match have to be ended with penalty kick, in my opinion, Leicester played quite well in that match but indeed the quality of the players from both teams made the difference in that match.

Had trailed 3-2 but minato saved Liverpol to a penalty shootout.  A very entertaining match. For the umpteenth time I observed that some non-seeded clubs played more effectively. Without possession, but they are able to score goals and provide difficulties for the seeded team. Even at the end they lost in penalty. I think the mentality of liverpol players is influential, they play penalties. Players with bad mentality may fail. I was surprised Minamino failed, even though he was the last goalscorer in normal time. Fortunately Bertrand failed and Jota succeeded. Congratulations Liverpol you go to the next round.

West Ham won only one game in the last five matches with 2 draw and 2 defeats in addition to this one. Seeing the next games, I think West Ham won't have hard times against Southampton, Watford, Crystal Palace and Leeds. Basically they can get back to their positive results soon.

West Ham really have to take their position back by adding a lot of points. Against Tottenham meant they had to work even harder. Shouthamton are not very strong, but the resistance they often make always surprises the opponent's defense. However, West Ham itself is currently in a fairly unsupportive form. In the EFL Cup, I was just delighted with the Liverpool vs Leicester game. Liverpool's starting eleven choice really surprised me. They didn't want to have a lineup mostly consisting of their most powerful players. And Leicester were really near benefiting from this situation. But even with a lineup like that, Liverpool still managed to defeat Leicester by the penalty shoot-outs. And Liverpool normally had a PL game vs Leeds in three days but it has been postponed.

I felt Liverpool's team was really weak - there was no reason to start Koumetio instead of Konate. Konate needs games and Koumetio simply isn't anywhere near acceptable standard. Pair him with Bradley and Leicester was cruising - they could have scored 5 goals in the 1st half.

I loved the reaction after half-time though. Instant 3 substitutions, we dominated the game in a fantastic atmosphere and Minamino's goal was well deserved. I'm glad Kelleher managed to save 2 penalties as well - he should have reacted way better for their 1st and 3rd goals.

Arsenal in the semi, good 2 games coming.

Arsenal hosting Liverpool in the semifinals will be a very strong and interesting tie. On paper, Liverpool should win, but if this today Liverpool squad is what will be used, I don’t think Liverpool will have a chance. Arsenal will win in this team at the Emirates. Leicester city were caught off guard. They were not clinical defensively to withstand the unnecessary pressure from the Liverpool young starters. Liverpool a might look very invincible right now but Arsenal just need to play with lot of confident and intensity. In 2019, Arsenal won the community shield against Liverpool. So they shouldn't be scare of liverpool although it's going to be the tough game, but Arsenal have the chance to win Liverpool this time.

I honestly think Leicester played really well. Yeah they should have taken some chances but still they scored 3 goals early and put the pressure on Liverpool throughout the game unfortunately they were in loose in the end but overall I would say a well fought EFL quarterfinal from Leicester. Doesn't matters if they lost but they really played it well.

I agree that Leicester should have been able to finish this after getting ahead by 3-1. But I assume that they overcame by languor and let Liverpool equalize the score somehow and find a new hope. But I still can't say that Leicester messed up big. Because they really did their best to qualify for the semi finals in the EFL Cup. They really were aiming to at least win a title in this season. But Liverpool didn't let them move on.

Leicester played very well. I have no regrets that they have been defeated. Liverpool are a very strong and experienced team. Everyone assumed that they would win. But if Leicester had played defensively in the second half, they would have won the match. It was Leicester's strategic mistake. They thought they could score more goals in the second half. Obviously! The game has changed, with the chances of winning prestigious trophies (and I ain't saying the Carabao and FA Cup aren't prestigious trophies) narrowed down to a few top teams witch is highly competitive amongst those few. In order for the other teams not to go trophy less, reserving your top players is a no option. You can imagine Klopp yesterday, haven't made even a single sub in the first half, made over 4 subs in the space of 4 minutes. Though the Tottenham vs Chelsea fixture would be a tough one, I still see them in the finals to face off Liverpool.
