I was very contented with the title race this season.  It lasted until the final week of the season and the last matches were really great too. Liverpool and Manchester City both were behind first but they managed to make comebacks and won. Especially Manchester City's comeback is going to be really unforgettable for me. And one of the most disappointing teams of the season were obviously Manchester United. They had a worse season than the previous one and hopefully they can get better next time.

Honestly, I'm speechless when it comes to Manchester United. About their messy game, their players often make mistakes that don't need to be changed, those mistakes happen again and again. They have a pretty luxurious squad, but they can't turn out to be as expected. I can't stop thinking about Manchester United's performance this season.

Besides Manchester United, I think the Arsenal team can also be said to be a team with a disappointing performance in the EPL league this season, at the beginning of the season Arteta chose to throw out a few players and then bring in five young players because Arteta was very optimistic about relying on young players but it didn't work out perfectly because he didn't managed to fully manage the young players and he also couldn't motivate the players while in the dressing room so Arsenal's performance was very unstable at the start of the season.

They only have a problem with the mentality (motivation) and the strategy in playing, so they need a special coach to encourage the players' performance. Sure, it may be impossible to bring back the performance as in the Ferguson era. But they need to improve their current performance to be more competitive in EPL competition. If they cannot improve it, they will never win EPL title for sure.

Ferguson is not the last good coach for Man U... It's just that the club management hasn't been able to find a really good coach yet... Man U have really good players and superstars, but without quality club management they will never get good results... Actually Aston Villa can still win or draw if Gerrard still plays Coutinho, because previously several Manchester City players were focused on keeping Coutinho. we all know how outstanding Manchester United has been in some previous years but this season comes in for them the opposite way, i felt bad because they couldn't deliver upto expectation and this is an indication for a check and balance needed to be effected on the club, just as you all have suggested, they have to work on their top management decision in fishing out the major lapses that has been contributing to their woeful performance, the coach needed to be thoroughly observed as well if he's upto task, i think all that Manchester United needs is a reorganization and restrategization.

If they want to win the title and have good competition in the top 4 then they have to recruit the right people. It is not good to expect success to be achieved with minimal team quality while others continue to improve the quality of the team every transfer window. What Manchester United expected did not match what they did, that's the problem.
