Arsenal have lost points after a long time. Southampton didn't let Arsenal down at home. This result is of course an important win for city in the title race.

Yeah, very important for City because the gap has been cut to just two points now as there is absolutely no daylight at the top of the table, i'm pretty sure every City fan watched/followed that game till the very end, and the result was good, at least from our own perspective, whilst the season is still a long one and every team will prolly still have their own fair share of struggles, it is imperative for City that they do not drift too far away from the top of the table if they want to retain their crown, at least until they top it, which is prolly inevitable by their standards.

Having said that, i'm pretty sure Mikel Arteta will be fuming with his players, in footbal one goal is never safe and enough, and they found out the hard way, well they are still top of the table nonetheless, and they have to show true character to remain there, or else it will just be a matter of time before the boys from Etihad take their position.

Looks like the elephant that everybody has been asking on how it got up the tree is soon coming down. As expected after Arsenal failing to secure maximum points against Southampton after taking an early lead could have just left the door open. With the afternoon result Arsenal might have just given hope to Manchester city and other clubs to close in on them and any points dropped means they will be trading places and gravity will do its thing  

Yeah Arsenal should have found some goals but the points drop are gonna  hurt us today with City now just two points behind. Well we still have whole season to play and if we grab our consistency again then I think we can still do alright for some time. Hope just like today there will be someone to surprise City in next rounds and make them drop some points.

Tottenham are still struggling to get out of Newcastle's pressure, after being 2-0 down in the first half, Kane managed to reduce the position through his goal in the 50th minute. The match only had eight minutes left in normal time, Tottenham still couldn't find an additional goal to balance the position.
If Tottenham fail to score points in this match, Antonio Conte's team is in danger of dropping out of the top four positions. Until the match was almost entered the last minute Newcastle players were still very solid, they did not give the opportunity for Tottenham players to create chances.

Anything is possible for the remaining minutes but I think Newcastle will secure the win. Tottenham won't be able to score as the minutes draw near to the final whistle, so this should be a bittersweet defeat for the home match. Newcastle make it into the top 4 if they win it must be a good result for them. Their improvement has been great so far, and I think they are very much ready to compete for qualification for the Europa League this season.

Newcastle have become new contenders in the top four of the Premier League this season, victory at home to Tottenham has taken them into the UCL Zone. While Tottenham who suffered a bitter defeat at home must be prepared to drop from third place, Tottenham position can still be shifted by Chelsea because Graham Potter team has only played 11 games. Manchester United also has the opportunity to equalize Tottenham points, the competition at the top of the standings is increasingly difficult because Tottenham, Newcastle, Chelsea and Manchester United have almost the same points.

The most interesting match of the day was probably wolves-leicester city. I can say that Leicester city scored 4 goals in 4 shots and got an important 3 points. Wolves couldn't find a goal despite so many positions and had to lose.

It turns out that in this round of the leading group/favorites only Manchester City and Newcastle scored 3 points and improved their positions. Probably a big disappointment for those who do not like "money" clubs. By the way, even though Newcastle had a bad start, they are formally already in the top 4 and in terms of goals conceded they have the best statistics of all Premier League clubs. Still, that result with Manchester City 3-3 was not an accident, apparently Newcastle this season will fight for a ticket to the UCL.

It is yet to be predicted which team will be the champions of the Premier League. The Premier League is a very competitive league. And there are quite a few strong teams that deserve to win the title. But the battle for the title is now mainly between Arsenal and Manchester City. If the performances of Liverpool and United continue, the battle for the title will become more difficult for Arsenal and City. Also the performance of new powerhouse Newcastle is very commendable.

Arsenal was playing so bad. I see that so many people were hoping sakaa to make a goal in the last minutes but that's not happening. Im also seeing that people were starting to blame referee and they said that if the referee was rubbish. I just can't understand why they were calling him rubbish.
that doesn't make sense for me. The gap between city and arsenal was only 2 two points for now. totenham will be loosing from newcastle. newcastle has been getting two goals while totenham was still zero

Arsenal did not get full points in today's away match. I don't think Arsenal played very well either. Arsenal's performance in this match did not satisfy me. I expected a more responsible performance especially from their attacking players. But Arsenal's attacking players didn't attack much today. They probably took 12 shots in total in today's match. Arsenal's players would not have found it too difficult to break down Southampton's defense if the attacking players had performed well. However, Arsenal are at the top of the table despite losing 2 points in this match.

Arsenal has becoming too predictable now, they usually play well in the first half and lacking ruthlessness in front of goal by not taking their chances is costing them alot they switched off in the second half and look tired immediately Martinelli was substituted, that was exactly what played out in their last match against Leeds Utd, Southampton came out in the second half and took control of the match and got a well deserve point, however, as a gunner fan we can't be winning all the matches and still topping the table with 2 points with eleven matches ahead the league is getting very competitive.

Newcastle continue to progress so it is not surprising, now Newcastle are in the top four after beating Tottenham. I don't know if it's a fair result or not but I saw Tottenham did not play well in this match and even though Newcastle played away, I saw that Newcastle did play better and were dominant. So the final result for this Newcastle win for me is a decent and fair result for them.

If Newcastle can maintain this kind of performance for the next two games then it will be great. Because after two matches later, and then Newcastle will play at home against Chelsea as a team fighting for the fourth position in the standings. Also, Newcastle really have to watch out because once they have a rich club owner, they seem to have the ability to keep going even though their squad is still in mediocre quality and not as luxurious as other top teams but they can play really well.

And see Newcastle managed to take 4th place without a star player they continue to get points in every match even just conceded 10 goals so far fewer than all teams.

2 points is not much but if City drops points then we will be ahead again but given how well City are playing things are pretty hard and Arsenal have to maintain whatever gap they have right now and hope City to drop some points in between.

About Newcastle, they are playing a very good football. Some good signings and under the direction of Eddie Howe they are becoming consistent round after round. Today they played really well against Spurs but Spurs also kinda made some mistakes which costed them 3 points today.  Newcastle now stand 4th with the win today.

That draw was more painful than a loss honestly, Arsenal did not have a good performance as they did in the previous fixtures, especially the way the way the Emirates dealt with Liverpool. Some good chance should have been converted and also they wasn't very precise when counter attacking Southampton today. It's back to back game's and Gabriel Jesus has missed this kind of chance which would have made it two zero. Could it be that they're getting fatigued already ? I hope they sign a good defensive midfielder to replace Thomas Partey, he'll be at the World Cup and I know he'll be back injured.

Thomas Partey plays a very pivotal role for the gunner's and lossing him or being axed from the squad as a result of injuries would be so sad. Especially in big game's, I want to see them win the Premier League.

Is not a  bad game but a bad results, I think arsenal did way because is the premier League every game is hard especially when you are away playing at saith Mary,after Liverpool won against Manchester city and Tottenham Hotspur lose against Manchester United and Newcastle then is not the end of the world for arsenal, Southampton really suprise me to gain a point against arsenal especially how good arsenal are now.

Newcastle United are a better team than last year. They are still not favorites against Tottenham. But I'm sure we will definitely watch a more competitive match this year. Tottenham disappointed me last week, losing to Manchester United. Of course I know that Manchester United are a strong team. But if Tottenham want to be champions this year, they have to show resistance in games like this. Otherwise, they cannot be among the favorites in the championship race. So I guess they will do anything to win the Newcastle game. Also I think the 2.04 odds on the Tottenham win are a bit risky but good.

Well, Newcastle beat Tottenham and the Newcastle players dominated and were faster than their opponents, so a well-deserved victory. The second round in a row Tottenham loses, it already looks like some kind of recession for the Conte team. I had high hopes for Newcastle this season and they have been performing on a really high level so far. Howe was doing a great job even last season - they fully deserved their win over Spurs today.

Leicester got an important win as well - and they are finally out of the relegation zone. Wolves do look ready for a relegation fight this season.

Their next game is against nothingham so they will most likely win it, the main problem they drew today is that they didn't play in the second half as they did on the first one or perhaps southampton manager managed to figure out how to crack arsenal defense, eitherway this is a bad result for them because man city are closing in and they have easy games to come.

Many surprises this week the big teams have lost some have drawn at the teams below them and only Manchester City have won their success. Brighton is now getting closer to Arsenal because of 2 points difference.
Newcastle have made the game even more solid I see Newcastle's game even better even though there are no star players but their role is always to put the good in their position so they can survive with several other teams to beat Tottenham.
