I don't think Tottenham can keep that position with their current form; they've been playing very poorly since their match against Manchester United; their midfield is very open, and they lack a strong midfielder to control the ball; as a result, they lose possession very quickly, which is causing them to lose. We know how sharp and good their attackers are, but their midfield is very slow, and they will struggle to win a match with such performance.

Playing at home is beyond prediction indeed, like we lost to Nottingham even though it was a team below him but this is a game anyone can win.
 
I bet Tottenham but had to lose too in the beginning I thought it was a good opportunity to pick him but that's what we saw Tottenham unable to hold a draw in the game let alone win at home.

I think Conte needs an even better midfielder, but I hope in the winter he does to strengthen from attack forward, but indeed Tottenham will be in danger of being displaced by his standings.

Newcastle United's 2-1 win over Tottenham was the answer to their outstanding performance on the pitch, and for the time being they deserved to move into the top four of the Premier League.

Most people haven't yet realized it, but Newcastle will soon be among the league contenders with the money they have got. Tottenham will just get back to being a mid-table team in the next couple of seasons like they used to be. I don't think they will hold onto Harry Kane and Son for long.

The current Newcastle reminds of Chelsea under Claudio Ranieri, a season before Roman Abramovich took over.

oh shit, how the hell did the arsenal draw? I was happy when they scored, but then the equalizer came at 65 minutes, this made me very angry, honestly after the equalizing goal I realized that Arsenal would lose points in this game and with this result

Kinda expected that to happen especially after the 2nd half start. If you look at the statistics, both sides are pretty even aside from the ball possession and both sides have quite similar goal attempts. I thought they would let Arsenal take on the initiative to attack when they equalize but Southampton decided not to stop there which makes things even harder for Arsenal

It is better for Arsenal to equalize the game than loosing the match. This is game is different from the way arsenal have been playing their games. Arsenal funds it difficult to convert their chances.  Mt happiness about this game is that they equalize the game.

Southampton 1 - 1 Arsenal

I was a bit surprised by the result of Southampton 1-1 against Arsenal.
In terms of squad strength, Arsenal is much stronger and more solid. But in this match, I am very happy with Southampton who was able to hold Arsenal to a draw. Even though Arsenal had taken the lead in the 11th minute. However, then they were no longer able to score a goal against the goal.

True, this is something that is quite good for them at least they don't lose points in their home games. and looking at Manchester United's performance, it's actually still very good in my opinion.

With a draw result, Chelse and Man United get 1 point. So, there is no significant change in the table position. Chelse is in 5th place, while Man United is in 6th place now. If in the next matches both Chelsea and Man United win, Chelsea will be in 3rd place and Man United will be in 4th or 5th place. Yes, it looks quite good, not really bad.

Despite their results it looks like Ten Hag is now gradually making a midfield role that was poor the previous few seasons and of course this is clearly a very good progress.

There is an improvement in every line of Man United squad, not only in the midfield line.
Their defense looks a bit stronger without Maguire. Their wingers are very offensive after Antony joined Man United. And the striker position looks better with Rashford as the main CF now. I see good progress/improvement after Ten Hag managed Man United.

I'm a little surprised what caused Tottenham to experience a decline in performance, losing 2-1 to Newcastle was really beyond prediction. I bet for them in this match but it's really unlucky. MU and Chelsea's points are getting closer to them, there is a possibility that their position will be shifted if they continue to lose.

Spurs are definitely not going to finish in the top four, sometimes i can't quite understand what Conte's footballing philosophies are, it is dated imo, and i think with the quality of players the club has provided him with, his team should be more daring, they shouldn't always be content with the opposition dictating the play, they should take the game to the opposition and try to kill them off.

Having said that, Conte really has to be careful going forward so he doesn't lose his job, the Spurs' hierarchy have invested in that team and they will expect results, and there is a good coach like Tuchel currently without a team, i am pretty sure some big teams that aren't doing too well will be looking his way and weighing up their options.

In this weekend we have other teams that failed in addition to Spurs, there is Arsenal and Liverpool. Considering Liverpool unsuccessful start, Arsenal had the opposite but today's draw vs Southampton was unexpected. They played vs better opponents yet they dropped points here today.
Now the gap between Arsenal and City is only 2 points. Same thing happened in Bundesliga where Bayern is 1 point behind Union. Interesting weekend made favourite clubs 1 step from claiming back their position.

I think that Antonio Conte's positions in Tottenham are not in danger yet, although of course the second loss in the championship in a row may be alarming, but I am sure that Tottenham has enough margin of safety not to fall into a peak. Conte blames injuries to three or five players for the failures and said after the match that the team needs to strengthen the squad if the team wants to play in the Premier League and Champions League.  And let's not underestimate Newcastle United, which looks very good at the beginning of this season, being among the leaders and this is no longer the outsider team that was on the verge of relegation to the championship at a certain stage last season. Saudi injections into the club are slowly doing their job and the team is steadily moving forward into the number of permanent leaders of the Premier League.

In the important match of the day, totthenham hosted newcastle united.  Both sides played a balanced match. Totthenham didn't put much pressure on newcastle despite being the hosts.  Newcastle united is doing well this season. I can say that they are playing good and enjoyable matches. They may not be champions but they can finish the season in a good place. Totthenham also lost for two weeks in a row and opened the points difference a little bit.

I think Tottenham have to change their current pattern of playing or they might Countinue to lose most of their matches and they might not even end in top 5 before the season end.

Arsenal was the first to score, I was suprised Arsenal gave them chance to equalize, with the way Arsenal are in form, I don't believe they will draw their match against Southampton, we all know that Arsenal dominated the match but am sure that's what their fans want. I dont believe even if Arsenal will draw a match, it shouldn't be against Southampton. I noticed it have been kind of difficult to convert opportunies into goal for Arsenal in their last few matches, they only score just 1 goal in their last few matches.

Tottenham - Newcastle game ended really shockingly to me. I was expecting a competitive game for sure but I would never thought of a win for Newcastle here.

The first half was no different than a nightmare for Tottenham. Newcastle got 2-0 ahead already and captured a huge advantage. I wouldn't expect this to happen after seeing that Manchester United kept Newcastle at 0 goal. Tottenham should have been able to defend them well also and they should have been the side to get ahead first. Recently there is a significant amount of decrease in their performance. This is their second loss in a row and Conte need to wake his players up immediately.

This season Newcastle's performances have improved tremendously under the tutelage of Eddie Howe. So far, they have only experienced one defeat. The victory over Tottenham is a valid proof that the Magpies are no longer a mediocre club without targets. Now Newcastle has managed to perch in the fourth position in the standings table.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are in a bad period after swallowing two consecutive defeats. Antonio Conte is certainly very disappointed with the performance of his team, how not the defeat they got was precisely because of the mistakes of his own players, and lately it seems that Lilywhite's players are playing like they have no mentality.

Conte is trying a new scheme and for 2 matches they have done the same scheme and formation but this failed.
The 3-5-2 formation is not very good for them and it is better to maximize the 3-4-2-1 and focus on Kane being a pure striker.
Seeing this match with their new formation it is clear that this is not going well, actually worsening their performance in midfield and attack.
Son doesn't really fit in there because he prefers to run from the middle of the field than wait in front.

1-2 for the full time , the home team tottenham get the huge loss to protect their place at the top 4 ... they might get down to outside the top 4 in the next couple of matches , newcastle already spotted in the 4th unexpectedly and they could have spend billions dollar in the next transfer window if they are eyeing premier league trophy and a long term project one , more than just a growing investment for the arab money.

A real good start for newcastle , still wondering if they can do the crazy transfer in january.

This is clearly what they have to do because their current target is to become a dark horse and it will be very disappointing if they spend quite a lot of money but their performance is still mediocre.
They are currently in the early stages of making a splash as a new rich club so this is indeed a good thing for Newcastle to show.

Arsenal played way better in the first half, they were able to score and they created more scoring opportunities then they did in the 2nd half, Southampton managed to steal a goal and were okay with a draw and went defensive mode which made it really hard for Arsenal to score or even shoot on goal.

Chelsea v Manchester united ended in a draw. Obviously, in the first half, Manchester United dominated the match. But in the second half they played a bit worse. Chelsea scored the first goal in the 87th minute. With a goal in the last minutes, united made it 1-1 and the match ended in a draw. This result is a positive result for united. After all, you are away. They also have a better fixture.

Chelsea had what it takes to win the game, but they weren't good enough to win the game. Manchester united put their best in the game and deserve the draw points with the home team. Jorginho taken the deserve penalty but Casemiro levelled the game at extra time. I consider the game a bit boring in the first half, it's more less actions in the game because blues didn't play up to my expectations. However it is what it is, blues are still one point ahead of united which happens to be their arrival.

The most interesting part of the game was the ending, to be honest, the game itself was generally uninteresting, thankfully the score was 1-1 and not 0-0 (it's been a long time since I've seen such a score between the top teams in the English league). Manchester did make mistakes that could have led to goals at some points, and yet they did so at the end, getting a penalty...

The game was so boring especially in the first half, both teams kept playing the ball around in the middle and I expected to see a very tough and competitive game where both teams will attack and try to score goals nit until late in the second half when Chelsea scored from the spot that was when Manchester United realised they needed to try and score a goal in the game. They were lucky to get one from Casemiro's late header to end the game in a 1:1 draw.

an extraordinary match between Chelsea and Manchester united at home to Chelsea resulted in a draw ball score, this ball score made Chelsea drop to 5th place, was shifted by Newcastle because of the acquisition of points against Tottenham in the standings, this is a good way for Chelsea after previously being indirectly involved in  Ukraine vs Russia war that we still hear rumors about.
