What happened to City? They hit the rock bottom in the last 4 games. No win and only 3 points, and the worst thing is they play nothing like they used to.
I'm sure Pep will fix this soon but I'm not unhappy. Finally a clear path for Arsenal, they have to use this chance for good. It's up to them to finish this championship drought after all these years. There is no competition right now.

I think, Manchester city are still experiencing some challenges from those their players that are still experiencing injuries over some matches now and it has caused them to experienced defeat from many teams that has reduced their points. I was shocked when Aston villa hold them strong not to allow them to defeat them like the way they defeated them last season than to use some strategies to reduced their strength to gain opportunity into their goalpost to scored a goal that gave them victory at the end of the match. I believe Manchester city manager can still do something that will make his players to return back to their excellent performance that will take them back to the first position in the premier league table.

I was quite surprised by the performance of the  Manchester City players. I don't  think they will play that badly. The team suddenly lost the truck. After drawing in the last three matches, Manchester City was defeated in this  match.
In this match we only saw the dominance of Aston Villa players. The team  played well in the home match. The performance  of the Manchester City players was very disappointing. I have never seen Manchester City  play with such a  defensive strategy. Manchester  City players made only 2 shots in the entire match. After dropping  points in 4 matches, Manchester City  are now fourth in the points table.

Manchester City is currently experiencing quite big problems so that this season they cannot perform as well as in the previous season. I see balance and sharpness starting to disappear due to the absence of a creative midfielder role. The absence of Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri is clearly a major blow for Pep Guardiola to develop his game, plus the departure of Gundogan who did not get a suitable replacement. I think this season is a tough season for The Citizens and if Pep Guardiola doesn't bring in another midfielder who has above average character then the Premier League title will be lost.

You are right, I totally overlooked that Manchester City is on a streak without winning and this could probably be the fourth game in a row without a win. I wonder when this happened to them the last time. But it is encouraging to see that Manchester City can't just destroy every team in the Premier League this season. Chelsea fought back, Liverpool and Tottenham and it would be quite revealing if Manchester City does not win the game against Aston Villa because not winning any of the games against the top teams from the Premier League could provide some insight into their chances in the Champions League as well. This year won't be easy for them.

This is still not certain. Indeed, in this case, especially for now Aston Villa is still one of the clubs that must be very calculated, especially with their current performance, which is playing well, but it is not that Manchester City wants this to be a draw.
I think with the situation that is currently happening I still believe that indeed the chance of a draw is still very large but on the other hand there is another possibility for Manchester City who will get 3 points because however seeing the situation that is happening now and of course referring to Pep who has drawn in the previous 3 matches I don't think they want this to happen again.

I don't know and maybe anyone here can provide another example, but I think this is the first time I ever I see Manchester City to not win four games in a row and now they even got a loss as the icing on the cake... Pep Guardiola will essentially never have to fear losing his job, but this is quite significant. If someone asked be before the season started what I think the table would be looking like after 15 games, my answer would have been different from reality.

Manchester United saved ten Hag's head in the game against Chelsea. But from what I can see this was a deserved win for the Red Devils.

I never doubted the capability of Unai Emery's Aston Villa but I least expected them to beat the Citizens.. and to think that they literally called all the shots to the point that Man City lost control of what they were doing and were forced to defend.
I said it one of my posts that if Man City could find it difficult to beat a club that's struggling like Tottenham Hotspur and instead settled for a draw, what will be the case for Aston Villa who are very fit and this is the result.
 Again, this game has proven that Haaland is not a big game player else we should have seen his impact on the field! I still don't understand why Jeremy Doku didn't play because we've known the Belgian to be a good creator of goals and also tried to get some for himself too.
I really need to commend Aston Villa confidence and resilience because playing a team like Man City should make any team nervous but they made quick work of Pep's men, making them look like untried school boys.
 This win has seen them move above Man City to sit third on the table behind Liverpool and Arsenal and I must say the league has just got more competitive.

To be honest, I was shocked to see Aston Villa defeat Manchester City. I kept thinking about what the players on the field were doing for Manchester City because I knew they couldn't be defeated by Aston Villa. However, I also knew that Aston Villa would perform well because they have played well in many of their games this season. While Manchester did their best, in my opinion, it was insufficient as Pep Guardiola did not use any of his players, including Doku, Rodri, and Grealish. I believe this to be the reason why Aston Villa defeated Manchester City.

Although they are still doing well in the champion league, I don't think Manchester City will win the premier league this season. Arsenal or Liverpool will likely win it instead. To be honest, Manchester City tried because, if they didn't try very well, Aston Villa could even score more than that because many of their players aren't in the game.

In thought for a second that Pep Guardiola have already sorted this issue out but it seems he has done completely nothing about it. This win Manchester United had over Chelsea will help boost the confidence of Manchester United players and they can pick a form of winning their matches. Scott McTominay was the player of the match, while Eric Ten Hag was the manager of the match. I was super impressed by the efforts put into the game by the Manchester United players and it was a great challenge they took to themselves to gain this strong 3 points. Eric Ten Hag has shown some strong performance efforts over the Chelsea yesterday and I admire him most sincerely. If they had not losed the penalty, it would have been a 3 over 1 goal.

I was shocked about the Manchester City lost. I thought they will win over Aston Villa but I was not sure of the reason why there was that delay until when I saw the late goal by Bailey maintain the perfect home record of the Unai Emery. I can't believe this will be the fourth Premier League for Pep Guardiola without a win. Haaland did have two chances to win a goal which makes them fall to the fourth position in the table.

I don't think Manchester city has any excuse and injuries isn't an issue, yes I used to wrongfully think that they can blame their situation on injuries but come to think of it the reason a team has depth is in preparation for injuries. last season Arsenal had some injuries that enabled Manchester city pass them to clinch the English premier league, so they should not blame injuries every team experiences it but still Manchester city has good players to cover up. Aston Villa played very well from the goal keeper to the striker and they deserved the victory.

Villa are playing some of the most entertaining football I've seen in a while. Quick passing, high pressing and brave. I said at the start of the season that Emery’s Aston Villa would surprise us and they are playing brilliantly this season. I hope that they keep it up and make this a title race to remember.
Any win is good but a win against Manchester City is something else. They came out with everything against Manchester city, dominated and outplayed them everywhere on the pitch.

They’re a very strong team to beat at home this season. I think they haven’t lost or drawn any of their home games this season. With the way it’s going, I think nobody is coming to villa park and getting an easy game.. not one team. I know they’ve got the bests home record in Europe at the moment. The absence of Rodri should be no excuse here, Instead of using Akanji as a double pivot with John Stones, why not introduce in Kalvin Philips? I really ponder at times what that lad has done for him not to get a single chance. He was a good lad for Leeds United truthfully.

I don't say 6 points is a small difference but it is not too big to exclude Manchester City from the title race and their chance to win Premier League. Manchester City in last 6 seasons, usually have a habit of playing very well in last months of season. The past season is a latest example of this style when they took over the first position from Arsenal in last weeks of season.

Julian Alvarez for Kevin De Bruyne? That's a big joke he can't be. Alvarez looks sad, he wants to score goals. Manchester United did well last night they should have scored more than that though. Sanchez made some good number of saves.

Julian Alvarez does not have similar skill set like Kevin De Bruyne and he is not like a midfielder too. He can play together with Haaland and give Haaland some kind of support but as a replacement for De Bruyne, he can not. In Manchester City, I think of two players who have skills and can be a temporary replacement for De Bruyne, Foden and Silva.

Manchester United is now the sixth team in the points table and their number of points is 27. If Manchester United is more serious in the upcoming matches and if they perform well in the upcoming matches then they will be able to take their position higher.  Point table number four and number 5 team with Manchester United's point difference is only 3, so if they can perform well in the end, then Manchester United must be able to be in the top 5 of the point table.

You are right, I watched the game yesterday and what I saw totally shocked me. The Way Aston Villa played the game really impressed me. They are inform and in the top 4. City were really not at their best. Pep has to find a way to navigate through this tough period for City. But am happy about the performance of Aston Villa.

 The Norwegian doesn't have all the qualities of a good striker if you ask me. His footwork is one of the weakest among English Premier League strikers and he rarely falls back deep to take ball and play it to their opponent's 18 yard box. Erling Haaland is a sharp striker that knows how to position in games but he need to improve his footwork in other to be able to deliver in games that his team are finding difficult to break.

I couldn't agree with you more on this. I usually say that Haaland is not a big game player and some people would look at me like I've grown two heads. It's true, because you can't just rate a player based on the goals he scores but his overall impact. I'm certain that if he were to still be at Dortmund, he wouldn't have gotten this amount of goals and you'll agree with me that Dortmund aren't of the same standard as Man City.
 Let's take Jullian Alvarez for instance, he may not have as much goals as Haaland but you see him creating chances that would result in goal scoring opportunities but that's not the same for Haaland who prefers that the other players do the dirty work and he just stands in position to net the ball home. Then supposing there is no opportunity like that, you see him walking around the field like someone who's already exhausted.
For Man City, this their recent performance just goes to show that all good things can come to an end. The season is still fresh and maybe Pep has another plan up his sleeved but for now, Man City are slowly waning.

I was a little disappointed with Manchester City's performance yesterday which thwarted my multi bet and this is really the impact of losing Rodri whereas this player is very important for Pep Guardiola as a midfielder who can always control the situation and I agree with you if the attack line lacks a strong performance but this is not the fault of Manchester City's attack line, but because Aston Villa uses a very tight defense so that Manchester City's attacking players cannot find empty places to score, so it is natural that Haaland cannot score.
However, there is something that makes me think a little and wonder why Manchester City has experienced a very bad decline in performance in the last few matches and many gamblers have lost in every Manchester City match.

Manchester United got an important victory by beating Chelsea. McTominay became the hero of the match. Chelsea is a team that is extra motivated against big teams. Remember the match against Manchester City. They also made Arsenal and Tottenham lose points. The fact that they are currently 10th in the league does not change that they are a difficult team. A well-deserved win for Manchester United. I expect them to slowly catch up with their form.
