The EPL is full of surprises. Just a couple of seasons ago, Aston Villa fans would be happy if their club finished 10th position. 16 matches into the season, who would have thought that Aston Villa would be considered title contenders. For the Arsenal vs Aston Villa match, I could see it was already over when Aston Villa scored a goal. I noticed Aston Villa have never lost any game from a winning position, if they are a goal up they will defend with everything they have got.

Spurs today made Newcastle not seem like a team that was together. Don’t just know how Joelinton managed to get that one consolation goal but, it was just Spurs having to run down the Newcastle United defense over and over again. They were under so much threat all game.

After Tottenham failed to win in the last 5 matches in the EPL. And they even lost to West Ham, but it turned out that in the end Tottenham were able to win by beating Newcastle, which should have been much stronger than West Ham. After I heard that Son was fit enough to take part in the match, I was actually convinced that Tottenham would win. It's just that the score 4-1 was beyond everyone's predictions. But Even though I know Newcastle is having difficulties because many of their players are injured. But actually Tottenham's condition is also the same. And it's clear that Newcastle has had quite a decline in performance this time. And maybe even in the UCL match, Newcastle will have difficulty facing Milan.

From what I know, Newcastle has been in a bad trend lately and seems unstable, sometimes against weak clubs they lose but against strong clubs they can win and in fact we can predict the defeat against Tottenham in advance because Tottenham has returned to its previous performance it will definitely be easy. beat or hold a top club to a draw and in fact Newcastle defeat yesterday would have been an embarrassing story. Newcastle should have been able to keep from conceding too many goals but in fact there was no confidence and on the one hand Tottenham looked very aggressive appearing at home with 4 satisfying scores.

I know how their condition is in the league these days. But they played against one of the easiest teams to beat. They won the game maybe but it should have been much more comfortable than that.

Haaland wasn't even in the squad today by the way. I saw it like he was injured but this wasn't much convincing to me. Maybe Guardiola just didn't want to bring him to Luton. But there was no need for him to win the game of course. Alvarez filled his place nicely.

I think, this injuries is really affecting the Manchester city players and it has made them to look small to some small teams they used to defeat with many goals with so much strength through out the match. Many people nearly lose hope in this match when Luton Town gain access to Manchester city goalpost to scored first goal to lead the match1-0 for the favour of Luton Town in the first half. But despite Erling Haaland was not among the players, they where able to succeed to defeated Luton Town 1-2 in the second half to prove to people that they will soon return back to the first position in the premier league table when their potential strikers recover from their injuries.

Tottenham Hotspur's performance this evening really impressed me; they played well and won by three goals margin, which I honestly did not expect. Newcastle United was under intense pressure with 25 shots and 12 of them one target. I'm not sure how long Tottenham can keep up their good form; they're not a team you can rely on for long. Also, I hope that this game does not weaken Newcastle's squad for their next match against Milan in the champions league.

Tottenham is unstoppable in this match they control the match from all sides even since the first half therefore I was not surprised if Tottenham scored a lot of goals, indeed Newcastle played poorly today but I know they are trying to secure the squad for the Champions League match as we know Newcastle will fight either in this last match to determine whether they can qualify for the next round there is no other choice they have to win because of that newcastle game is different today.

Fulham also surprised us somehow they beat West Ham with 5 goals even more surprising West Ham was unable to score a single goal even though they usually always score in every match, we know that West Ham also has a match in the European League this week but they are already in a safe position or they really want to maintain a position as a group winner and avoid the play-off round? maybe this is the only reason that makes sense to prepare for physical conditions.

I agree with you that Tottenham is unbeatable! They really took charge from the start of the game. Would you agree that Son Heung Min was truly amazing? The guy was everywhere. He scored one goal and set up two more. Whatever he did with the ball seemed to make something exciting happen every time. Also, Richarlison scored two goals, which was great. Although Newcastle tried their best, Tottenham was simply better. Even though Joelinton scored a good goal, Tottenham won the whole game.

Another surprise was Fulham's win over West Ham. No one saw that coming. Five goals and a clean sheet! It came as a big surprise that West Ham was shut out because they usually score a lot of goals. You have to wonder if they were really trying to get the top spot in their European League group or if they were just having a bad day. They will have to be realistic with their approach for each match and when they already create a good advantage to have three points, they must wisely make substitutions to give their main players some time to rest and avoid exhaustion then injuries.

But I still hope that Aston Villa can continue to be consistent and hopefully Aston Villa will repeat being the king of Europe which has been down for decades and is now starting to wake up again.

From Premier League to Europe, it is big difference and with limited resources, Aston Villa might take a double-edged ambition if they want to achieve good results in both Premier League and Europe. They will have to always adjust their plans and main concern and probably have to give up in one competition to focus better on another one.

The defeat of Everton was the most painful because this club almost did not show any competition in the English League and a number of other teams were quite easy to beat Everton. But Pochettino could not do anything in the match and even they had difficulty finding a gap in scoring goals with an average mastery of a much better ball. Now competition on the standings board will be more interesting, especially for the first, second and third positions because it only has one point difference.

It is Everton duty to try as hard as possible to continue winning, because the sanctions they have  received are no longer a reason for any club to now be the target of Everton ambitions. they wanted to save  themselves from the relegation zone and  little by little managed  to improve the situation.  Pochettino has once again confused us with  the instability of his players Chelsea vulnerability in  the midfield and  back is the main factor why they cannot be stable.  being thrown into 12th position is a bad result Chelsea is sometimes able to win against  strong clubs but on the  other hand it is not promising when playing against other  clubs in lower positions.

the strongest clubs  in the Premier League are now starting to be  overwhelmed creating more  opportunities for clubs like Aston Villa to go further. I am very sure that several  european domestic leagues will feature underdog teams  in the UCL next season such  as the English League with  Aston Villa, the Bundesliga with Leverkusen, and La Liga  with Girona.

Coach Pep Guardiola was concerned when his student Erling Haaland suffered a complicated injury and did not know how long it would take to recover. Haaland is Man City's numben-one striker. Manchester City did win but it was a little worrying, especially against Luton they had to fight hard to be able to turn things around and win with a score of 1-2. On the other hand, Bernardo Silva and Julian Alvarez were key players for Manchester City in this match because they both managed to score the winning goal. After often getting unsatisfactory results, finally Manchester City were able to taste victory again and they had to achieve that against a weak team like Luton and I think that was quite disappointing.

We know Pep Guardiola to becomes very competitive coach that doesn't give room for anyone to give excuses. Luton Town gave the citizens hard-time today, defensive in all angles Manchester City could possibly put the ball through but atlast, they were able to record a comeback and grab Ed three solid points from Luton Town. If Manchester City continue like this, it will not be easy because there are more competitive contenders for the EPL title and Manchester City will turn out to become another club on the othe end that's struggling to earn points.

Luton Town cannot be underestimated because previously Luton was Arsenal challenger in the previous match and was able to score 3 goals even though Luton was a weak team if you look at the standings table but could appear impressive when facing big clubs even though they ended in defeat but at least they could make things difficult for their opponents.
Manchester City and Arsenal are top teams but Luton can break through the defense of these top clubs, at least if they do the same when facing an average club, Luton should be in a better ranking, not 18th in the relegation zone.
Indeed, the result of 1:2 is not a very good result because Manchester City was facing a promoted team, but didn't you also see that in the match between Luton vs Arsenal, Arsenal also got a narrow win.
At least Manchester City can end a series of unsatisfactory results in the last 5 match, winning with a narrow goal, it doesn't matter, the most important thing is that Manchester City can get full points to catch up with the other points.

Now competition on the standings board will be more interesting, especially for the first, second and third positions because it only has one point difference.

To be honest I didn't expect that came with the weeks game, from the suprising defeat at Old Trafford by Bournemouth to the defeat of Chelsea at Goodison Park, including Arsenal and Newcastle as well, well Chelsea's defeat was expected cause after what they experienced at Old Trafford,it was expected to weaken their morale when they faced Everton yesterday,but I didn't expect Arsenal to be beaten by Aston Villa, even though villa has kept a clean record I expected a draw from that match.

 Well that's the fun of the EPL, it's very entertaining and full of suprises,Liverpool and Manchester City where the only big teams to escape a defeat but also they need to be careful in their next matches because the race for the 1st position is becoming very though and if you snooze you'll lose and drop points like Arsenal did against Aston Villa and now overtaken by Liverpool who are the current league leaders.

Yeah, I personally never dreamt that Aston villa will ever head head the positions in the EPL, they just came from behind and boom, they are at the top, I am very much surprised by the way they defeated Arsenal in the encounter couple of days ago, Arsenal is known to always concede a goal or two at the very beginning of their match, but by the end of the game, they always manage to make a good comeback, I believe they tried to use this same strategy on Aston villa, but unfortunately for them, it didn't work out as planned due to a very tight defense Aston villa has, that match was a very disappointing one for me since I expected Arsenal to win the game, and thank goodness I didn't stake too much on it..

If Aston villa will offer all that is takes to stay at their current position on the EPL, I trust that they have to full potential to walk away with the title this season, but again, this will be very disappointing for Arsenal, as I personally believe they are doing all the can to win that trophy, they missed it Last season after getting really close to it, if they miss it this season again after being really close to it, I honestly do not know how the management will feel or take it, but all the same, fingers crossed as always.

Returning back from losing record against Luton Town is not really special result for Manchester City regarding how weakness the opponent team face, but return to winning trend is very good recovery for Manchester City without winning last five matches in a row. Manchester City opportunity behind above team standings Arsenal failed get three points and current standings three points from Arsenal and four points behind Liverpool. Bad trend in last five matches little help with the rival teams has inconsistency performance and Manchester City keep in the Premier League tittle race with Liverpool, Arsenal and probably right now have Aston Villa.

Finally Tottenham have managed to put an end to their bad streak in the Premier League by a great performance.    They played very dominantly against Newcastle home and had a great day at finishing as well. Richarlison and Son were in their good days to carry their team. Richarlison scored 2 goals while Son had 1 goal and 2 assists.

I would have liked to see the same performance from Tottenham against West Ham as well. But this is still a good step forward for starting to recover. Next time they are facing Nottingham away which is technically a more comfortable game. The winning streak should be continuing.

It gives very big impact to the club. I remind you that if manchester city has de bruyne who has been also working as the most creative attacking midfielder owned by manchester city. He was also contributing a lot and this is also the main reason he had been called as king of assist. Missing him pretty much the same as the club was missing someone who has been also consistently contributing most of the assists for the club. Manchester city can only rely upon some players like rodri.
As you can see that how manchester city was always struggling in any matches. Even city needs late game to score and make its come back. Manchester city was playing so badly without having some important players like de bruyne.
Playing without him is just a setback for the club. I expect city to face another difficult match soon as the club needs to put lots of efforts to beat the weak club like luton.

Currently competition is still very competitive. The top teams are only 1-2 points apart. So there is still a chance for all the teams in the top five to catch the top of the standings. City still has a big chance to catch up.

Aston Villa performed extraordinary by beating Arsenal. TBH it surprised me because statistically Arsenal was quite dominant with 62% ball possession and 5 shots on target. I think they will be able to secure second place at the end of the season if they can maintain consistency of play.

City performed quite well even though they conceded first. I hope that this is the start of a positive trend after the poor results in the last few matches. I don't know when Haaland will be available but if City play like this in next week's game against Crystal Palace I think they will find it difficult to win.

Steven Gerrard who was in charge frustrated the club and the players, the management the right by showing him the exit. They struggled that season. Having experienced how tough the Premier League Competition have been during his time with Arsenal failing here with Villa would be difficult so far as he is doing the right thing. The struggles with Arsenal defenders and attackers continued that day. Same way they couldn't get good defending against Luton Town. Gabriel Jesus and Martinelli didn't do so well. Bukalo Saka included all flopped.

The points between the first four clubs are not so much, it's competitive and interesting. It shows that the Premier League Competition is still open for four clubs. Liverpool, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester City all together.

 Chelsea just have a lot to do other than Pochettino asking for new crop of players to be signed. I was really disappointed by their performance yesterday and from how they played, it showed glaringly that they don't have any tactics. How can you bench players like Sterling and Jackson? Although he(Jackson) is still finding his feet, but you can agree that he plays a great role in the attack. Everton are like an injured lion and won't try to take any chances so I didn't expect Pochettino to do so with his team.
 This is the second time in a row that they have lost in their away game and it's sad that instead of Pochettino to admit they messed up, he blamed their performance on lack of good players and I'm beginning to wonder if he knows what he's talking about. Last transfer window, Chelsea spent above a billion pounds on purchasing players and I thought that with that amount spent, they'd be in the top four or close but what are we seeing? Currently they are twelfth. It's as if ever since Todd Boehly took over the club, their lot is to between the tenth and twelfth position.

With all have been going on with Man UTD is like some of us are not seeing what's happening with the way the other players treat the attacker they have, talking about Hojlund, because to me these Manchester United players don't acknowledge Hojlund and what he can do.
Why would you have a player you call an attacker to get goals for the team and they're not giving him that opportunity to do his work? Is so sad to me.
Being selfish won't get goals for the team and McTommy who was ones a bench warmer is now the highest goal scorer for the red devils (if I'm not mistaken). Tommy creates chances and even finds himself in the 18 yard box to get a goal, that's his own part but not helping the player Hojlund not giving him the ball is not healthy for the player and it will kill his morale, the coach need to address this individual football United are playing.
