I think that Chelsea expected a victory from City in the final, this would have given them a place in the EL and perhaps Pochettino’s further fate at Chelsea would have been different, but perhaps with this victory ten Hag retained his place in Manchester (we don’t know this for sure yet). But Chelsea and Manchester United did not have the best season, if a team cannot play in the Champions League, this is a weak result.

I agree with you, if Manchester United and Chelsea cannot play in the Champions League whatever they achieved is a weak result. Chelsea wasn't expecting Manchester United to have victory over City because we all know how strong they are throughout the season, many people were saying that it was a fixed match, and Manchester United was not strong enough to defeat Manchester City. This is a football and everything is possible, Chelsea was performing badly from the beginning of the season, so I wasn't expecting them to play fantastically at the end of the season. The fact that some United fans still want Erik tan hag is very very confusing to me. I get that he won the FA cup, which is lovely and I am not against that at all, but that team finished 8th in the league, that is not United level of result you can't be happy with a manager who made the team 8th.

No one will be sad when their team wins a trophy but then we all know that Ten Hag is not the one for Manchester United, he didn’t just led them to finishing 8th on the table but the performance of the team was not really impressive at all throughout the league. That’s not the level United should settle with because they are a team that should be performing well in the league. I mean I get that there were a lot of injuries, which is terrible that is true and some of the results were because of the injuries, meaning that he is not the only responsible party here, it's just life. However, even with that he shouldn't have done this badly with that much money spent on transfers that he wanted. I believe that anything out of top four was unacceptable and he should be fired to get someone much better instead.

Exactly, injuries are bound to happen and it does happen to every team so as a coach you are to expect injuries and when they happen you should have a backup option in order to manage the situation. Chelsea's transitions in the most recent seasons has been a typical part of their instability all along, If they happen to get some form of balance both in their coach and in the management, it will be a leveling ground upon which they can kick off to start their journey to becoming stable again and probably been amongst to teams in the premier league as they should be but then they just sacked their coach.

With pochettino Chelsea was gradually getting to attain stability again which would have helped them well enough to be able to get back in their form as they should be but then sacking him at this point is really going to have a serious effect on them especially in the fact that they will have to start all over again getting to groom the team to adapting to the new manager and aswell his strategy with which he will be waiting the players to get on with so they will be able to get the best of the league in coming season, it may seem like a tough one but since the management has decided then they will have to work with it.

Well as things are right now, I think Man United can still hang in with ETH as in the coaching market there are no A-Class coach but whateve the decision is, it’s up to the board to take. Meanwhile for ETH this time, he can use to build up good tactics and learn better approaches to games in preparation for the new season. ⁠Ten Haag could be saved from the plans of Ratcliff on players transfer, they pointed out the meed for less stars, and this can be seen as having players for long term project.

Haha , take it easy man, don't wish the club such a downfall again after they have been in the mud for quite some time and were only starting to rise from the burning ashes, I also am of the opinion that what the management of Chelsea did was really uncalled for, the man pochettino indeed contributed greatly to the better performance that Chelsea experienced in this last season, but then, we all must understand that business is always a business, and any serious person doesn't bring sentiments or emotions into what I term as a business deal when one party when to meet the obligations or expectations of the other, it's like a worker who in the eyes of many, performed really well, but in the eyes of the boss, this worker failed in fulfilling the expectation of the boss, the boss won't be happy, and this boils down to how such worker was hired, if you were recommended as the best, and the boss hired you because of your rated level, if at the end of the day, you fall short of delivering the best job, you stand a chance of being sacked because you fail to meet the expected standards you are expected to meet easily.

Maybe I am one of the people who regrets this decision to dismiss and Chelsea should still have trusted Pochettino for a long time. The reason is that most of his roles are just continuing the legacy of the previous coach and the results are even much better than everyone thought.

I think Pochettino did a good job at Chelsea and the club management should have extended his contract for one more season.

I also think so, this is Chelsea management's fault, they shouldn't have fired Pochettino after Pochettino managed to show much better progress since he became Chelsea coach, everything needs a process and Pochettino has done it well, but the steps taken by Chelsea management are quite surprising, I think this is again the same mistake as last season made by Chelsea management.

Now Chelsea is recruiting Enzo Maresca. It must be admitted that Enzo Maresca is a good coach, but I'm sure it won't be easy for Enzo Maresca to immediately improve Chelsea's performance, everything needs a process and time.

No one will support what Chelsea management did because they will definitely regret their actions, but considering other things, they also have their own reasons for that, but I am sure that is the greatest mistake they will ever make, although that is the same thing that happened to them this season, and they want to repeat the same mistakes.
 
So even though Enzo Maresca that they brought in now is a good coach, looking at the performance of Chelsea now, I can say they don’t need him because Pochettino can fix it, he just needs time. But I don’t still see why Chelsea always takes fast action that ends up being a regular for them. I think we just need to put our eyes on them and see how the next season will go for them, but for now, they need to work harder on that team performance.

Mauricio Pochettino did not deserve to be sacked for many reasons. Firstly, Chelsea showed a positive trend in their results.

I was shocked the day I saw the news that Chelsea sacked Pochettino. I never expected a news like that because towards the end of the season, Chelsea played well, their performance improved, and I was expecting a better performance from Chelsea by next season because pochettino was already getting a perfect arrangement for the Chelsea squad, so I was expecting improvement from them by next season. Chelsea played well in their last five matches, everyone was just surprised by Chelsea's performance, but Pochettino got sacked, and I am sure next season won’t also be easy for Chelsea.

They can't do that, fired Pochettino, if next season they want to compete for the Premier League title or FA Cup.
but they are impatient with Pochettino, they want to do everything instantly, even though Pochettino has already carried out the process to make Chelsea a team that can compete at the top of the EFL.

I agree with you, this is the same mistake made by Chelsea management as several seasons ago when they asked to change coaches.
Even though Mauricio Pochettino has given his best in his first season as Chelsea coach, it is a shame for Chelsea management's decision to replace Mauricio Pochettino, even though if he is retained, it is very likely that Mauricio Pochettino can make Chelsea much better next season.

I'm in support of your statement too, Mauricio Pochettino might not had given them a trophy this season or got them to the top 4 spot but come to think of it, it was his first season in charge of the club and he encountered some challenges of which injuries was one of the major setback from the beginning of the season, if you noticed Manchester united still suffered same injury crisis and it really affected their gameplay but then they won the FA to justify their poor record. Well Pochettino might not had won any trophy but his gameplay changed when most of his players returned from a long injury spell and both manager and payers were beginning to have a mutual understanding on and off the pitch which made them to play wonderful football nobody expected and secured a spot in an European Competition, that's something the board should've considered, I think it's worth a second chance. I'm not going to say Chelsea would regret sacking him cause their new coach might suprise everyone but Pochettino deserved a second chance. How long would they go on trying different coaches? I think they need a coach with a vision, and then support him to do better. I bet they'll still sack Enzo Maresca if he fails to deliver in the upcoming season.
