indeed the very clear victory of serbia over russia was a small surprise today
i watched the whole game poland vs. netherlands - in this game netherlands was the stronger team with the better chances to score
in the end the netherlands left the field as the deserved winner

Yeah. It was a suprising match. 5-0 is unbelievable final score but I guess at least I can trust it since Germany lost 6-0 the latest match.

Russia had 20 shots compare with 12 shots from Serbia but it seems that Serbia was more effective than its neighbor.

Netherlands is undoubtedly better than Poland. So it is not a shocking event when they won

I don't know what happened to Russia even this was the worst defeat since the last few years really weird
previously my bet went with both teams to score I think Russia is easy to score  like they did against Turkey, even though they got a red card they still scored but today was really weird.

Usually i don't judge people that i don't know personally, but to me it seems that Joachimg loew just became to stubborn and arrogant after the world cup win in 2014 and alle the praise he got back then.
The decision to sack Boateng, Hummels and Müller was completely unnecessary and i think he only did it to profile himself and it went horribly wrong.
If Löw was a club trainer he would have been already fired a long time ago, it's time to do that now and then the new manager must bring Müller, Boateng and Hummels back.

@Jackl87 Joachimg loew needs to go and this sentiment has been shared by all the German newspapers too, as they all feel that he’s lost his touch, and he needs to replaced if Germany wants to win trophies again.

@slapper in my personal opinion Serbia had the beliefs that they could defeat Russia, and in the end they prevailed because they believed in themselves, and therefore in my personal opinion Serbia deserved this victory.

The problem with the Netherlands are the defenders. As you noticed the attacks were good but some defending was very bad yesterday. They just miss Van Dijk and De Ligt in the centre of the defence.

Even though Iceland have indeed surprised many football fans around the world when they managed to qualify for the last World Cup which was held in Russia, but it seems that it is quite a huge burden for Iceland to be playing in the Uefa Nations League being placed in League A, as Iceland have struggled to score goals against other teams and have also lost all their matches in the group. Maybe the players of Iceland would find it much better to play in League B after their relegation from League A.

I think you might be onto something.Even though I like Iceland,they might be overachieving in the last few years so for them League A was simply too much. League B seems more suitable in the long run. And if they are good enough, they will get back to League A.

yeah, Serbia won because most of the shots come into goal, did not played much better than Russia, but luck was with us
and Russia and Serbia are not neighbors, there is a solid distance between, although both in Europe

Yeah you are right. Their defense was not too good. But you might agree with that quote " attacking is the best defense" . I think they flollow that rules. So they were able to win the match.

Maybe. We should remember that players can also become stubborn and arrogant after winning a world cup - they go from being good international players to suddenly being the absolute best in the world. But it is part of a manager's job to deal with this... so if the players did become arrogant and over-confident, Löw should have been able to bring them back under control.

Even the bad things come to an end God saved us from Nations League, finally! Final Four will take place around October 2021 in Italy (which probably made it in the top 10). Playing home, if the coronavirus crisis will be over, they might have a good chance of winning the title.

Nice one. I did a parlay from a freebet of Sportsbet on Albania + Turkey at 4.2 odds,,, I thought if Turkey can beat Russia surely they can beat Hungary but as usual football proves me wrong:)

France has a good selection and played with Portugal and have an average performance in my opinion

Italy is another good selection but it also had an average performance if we consider that they were in a group of weak selections

spain also has a good selection and have good performance because they were in the germany group and they managed to have only one defeat and still leave germany behind

Belgium is also a good team and was lucky to be in a group of very weak teams, England has had inconsistent performances

I think Belgium and France are more likely to be the champions

Russia was first before last nights matches but they ended up having an embarrassing loss. Even Serbia didn't expect that. They won and stayed in League B.
Who would expect that Hungary win their match and Russia lose by big margin and Hungary promote to League A? This group had full of surprises.

I'm glad that Nations League is over finally. I never liked the format.

Yesterday if people were careful to choose only those teams who needed victory the most and select from them teams which had really weak opponents surely have made some money.I wonder how it continues now,do we start other groups now from the promoted and relegated teams and we start over or is it different?

I also agree with you about this posibility. About the play-style and performance of each player, I appreciate Belgium more, they develope a more coherent gameplay. And I'm gonna bet for Belgium

Russian football is slowly losing its position on the international arean and Covid-19 pandemic is being very serious here and I think this is also the reason

To think Russia was on top of group B3 table before yesterday's game is funny. I did backed them to win or draw only for them to get demolished by the bottom team. I should have just gone with a Netherlands, Italy, England and Belgium win. Those seemed like a more likely to happened but wanted to give Russia the benefit of doubt. I don't think they've had much improvement since the last world cup.

That's bygone though. I'll move on quickly as my favorite leagues are back.

I agree with first part of your post, but I don't they are bad enough to lose like this. In 2018 World Cup they played well snd even kicked out Spain, but since then their results is going down only. IMO, main their problem that they have very few players in top European leagues, they prefer to play in Russia, where they get more money, but level of league is lower.

I don't think that Turkey is a weird team. this group was equal so it's not a surprise that all standings took shape only after the last matchday. and Turkey won't stay long in League C. almost sure they will be in top of their group next year.

The problem is they should be in League A with that team quality. It's like Juventus playing in Serie C now.
On the paper Turkey is stronger than Hungary, Serbia and Russia but they finished last. They didn't even show 1/10 of their true potential. I believe they will be promoted quick because other teams are bunch of small countries. This is a heavy prestige loss for Turkey.
