No Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal are losing to Switzerland by a goal and we are still in the first half, in my opinion I believe Portugal even without Cristiano Ronaldo has the fire power squad to challenge any team in the world, but there is more thing he and his like (Leonel Messi) brings to every team they play for, I don’t know the reason for his absence today and even if Portugal would end up turning the game around, the vide Cristiano Ronaldo brings to Portugal can never be matched.

Norway is playing excellent again and is very close to beating Sweden. Erling Haaland scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist. Alexander Sörloth scored the other goal. Norway will retain the lead with this result. It's impossible to understand how Haaland manages to play so well in every game. Some players choose a match, he's good in every match. Some players show fluctuating graphics, even if he plays badly in every match, he scores and contributes. We can say that he is the clearest best goal scorer in the world right now.

It was honestly a great game and it is really good to see that Haaland is in form. I think this will eventually be good news for Manchester City because they really need him to be in good form. He has played really well and contributed a lot to win the match against Sweden. He is obviously a great goal scorer and when he will have a better team giving him better balls he is obviously going to score a lot more in my opinion. He is a really hard worker and I hope he will be able to stay fit for the whole season.

another damn game that ends in a draw and made me lose my bet. honestly it was a pretty easy game for Georgia, all they had to do was score a goal and win the game, but no, they just didn't score and the game ended in a draw and I lost money again

as expected the Serbia is winning the game




Switzerland 1 - 0 Portugal

without cristiano ronaldo it will be very difficult for portugal to win this game

this is a good opportunity for spain to win

i expected Malta to win this game but they are having a hard time scoring goals so my hopes for them to win are gone

The competition this season is one in which the outcome of games when looking at previous games place makes it had to get convincing predictions. Imagine France  playing draw, Holland agaiipoland also a 2:2 draw, not to imagine Wales against Belgium drawing with a rescue from Brennan Johnson. The games in the recent days has been characterised with lots of draws making the competition more intensive as teams battle to survive the next stage.

 For Portugal cr7 has been a major key player for them as a team and always delivering even when least expected. So I think his absence in tonight's game yet against Switzerland is really going to put the Portuguese behind point.

it has entered the 85th minute but there has been no reply from Portugal in this match. Switzerland is really ambitious to defend this victory because M Yakin really wants to present the first victory for Swiss supporters because in the last 3 matches they have lost. Portugal dominated possession in the second half but they really struggled to score. Indeed, the absence of Ronaldo in this match really made it difficult for Portugal to score goals. This is very strong evidence that Portugal really really needs Ronaldo.

Erling Haaland has really shown to the world in this year UEFA Europe nation's league that he's not a player whose form is only limited to his Germans league club side, and it's a good one for man City like you rightly said. Halaland is such a young player in his prime that has so much to achieve and with City he is going to do better especially under Gardiola.

And with such  wonderful performance and especially for goals  he's known for, City will really be hard to contend with come next season of the EPL. And with this, I perceive him to be a threat to other strikers in the EPL as the possibility of him winning the highest goal scorer for next season is big giving such form as this.

Congratulations to Norway it is a nice victory deserving, for Sweden isn't just an easy team to beat.

England Italy was not as boring as the match results suggested. With a 0-0 score you often think that neither team has had any chances. Of course there were not constant chances, but we could have easily seen 3 goals. There is always less tension at these kinds of matches in the Nations League, because they are a kind of practice matches. It is a pity that the World Cup is still far away, because in principle these matches are too far ahead of it. But players of a large team get their rhythm anyway. Germany also still has a chance to win this group.

The biggest surprise was obviously the result Portugal got in their Switzerland match. Switzerland somehow managed to keep the score at 1-0 until the end after scoring that goal only in the second minute. Portugal tried their best but it wasn't good enough as it seems. They are still at a good position in their group of course.

this competition is causing me a lot of loss, and it is increasingly difficult to predict the results, sometimes I get the impression that the teams are not taking these games seriously, portugal dismissed ronaldo who took an early vacation, and today they lost and mine luck was that I didn't run to place a bet on this game, if I had made a bet early and then read this news that cristiano is on vacation I would have had to cancel my bet, and of course I would be at a loss. after seeing the news I decided to bet on other games and consequently lost the bet. It was more like a one-sided game and Spain played well. Soler and Sarabia scored goals but both of them were the result of team effort. Now Spain took the lead and I don't think they will leave it again. Four games unbeaten and got two wins, pretty good outcome when you think about opponents. I think Spain has the best squad and when they focus on the game there is no other team they can't beat. Probably Portugal game will be the decider in this group. Whoever win that game will finish first. Even a draw may be enough for Spain.

I cannot believe Portugal had so many chances to score and so many opportunities to create even more chances and it all ended up with 1-0 for Swiss but once again , if you defend well , you might win the greatest games and I think they all watched some ATL.Madrid games before entering the pitch but in my honest opinion , the best game was Norway - Sweden as we saw world class football , a Haaland coming back into his great shape and also a Sweden that never gave back and always looked to score and comeback into the game.

Also , a mention should go to Northern Ireland as they push so hard to score and take at least 1 point, and ,in the end they did it in the last chance of the game with their veteran and captain J.Evans.

The perfect start in Nations League is Greece who is leading their group with maximum points and no goal concede with a record of 7-0.

Spain played very smoothly here, with the composition of players they currently have, I am not surprised by their victory even though they were held by the Czechs in the second match of UNL. What made me a little surprised and a bit confused was the result of the Swiss Vs Portugal match.

The first goal was scored by Seferovic in the early minutes of the game and this goal lasted until the game was finished, Portugal dominated the game but Switzerland might be luckier than them. Can this happen because Ronaldo is not played in this match?

Switzerland is not a weak team, but Portugal's defeat is a surprise for me. In fact, the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch is making Portugal's value fall sharply.
Regarding the Spain vs Czech Republic game, everything turned out as expected, although I thought the Czechs would do better.

According to the news I heard on television, Fernando Santos deliberately didn't bring Ronaldo in order to give other players a chance to compete. Without Ronaldo, Portugal still seems to be the favorite with in terms of players. In the last two matches Cancelo also successfully scored a goal but this time it was difficult for him to get it a goals. using the same formation (4-3-3) I also wonder why Portugal can lose to Switzerland even though the statistics record Portugal's ball possession is 58%. Portugal's attack line is really dull without Cristiano, chances are wasted.

It was a really bad day for Portugal indeed. Switzerland weren't a very challenging opponent for them normally but they managed to surprise Portugal a lot by this 1-0 victory. The winning goal came in the 2nd minute already and I'm still surprised how Portugal weren't able to answer in the whole game. Ronaldo's absence also affected them badly surely but they still had very good players in the team though. Spain didn't experience a similar result against Czech Republic at least and it was an easy win by 2-0.
