I received the latest wallets from Soopy, as he promised. He also gave me some sad news the other day and asked me to express it to the community. I'm sure he will add anything that I inadvertently leave out.

Regretfully, Soopy has decided to focus more closely on his other coin projects for now and so has asked me to begin looking for a Dev to replace him. He wants to make this a smooth transition for UNO, and said he will be available to backup UNO should anything happen in the meantime.

I appreciate his honesty about his priorities and I respect him for making the difficult choice he felt he needed to make.

Since yesterday, I have emails out to some other excellent coin Devs, seeking their input and advice, and have already received some encouraging replies. Being a top-50 coin with a great community, nearly $.5 million market cap, top exchanges and services, and a successful history, as you might expect there's a lot of interest in UNO.

So where does this leave the fork?  I strongly believe we should hold off for a bit. Since forks are a serious effort and hold some risk, and because of what is unknown at this moment, I think it would be wise to have our next Dev in place even before proceeding. UNO is running fine as it is, and I see no need to rush into something so important.

There will be more to share with you in the days ahead as this all comes together. It's going to be exciting, I'm sure.  So don't worry, remain calm. Gives us a few weeks to get things settled as we see what opportunities begin to unfold for UNO.

Please don't forget to say a big Community "Thanks" to Soopy for jump starting UNO and getting us so far, so quickly, for leaving us in better shape than he found us, and offering to stand by us through this transition. Let's show our appreciation for all his work in helping to restore confidence in UNO.

Soopy's Uno tip box is: uW9XivXdwE9VVtBKYubnTzFgfwZP2hJpFN

Thanks, Soopy for all you've done. I  wish you great success with your other projects.

From their Twitter:
"[Status] exchange going down for maintenance. Expected downtime is 30 minutes"

Site is back up too.

Sad news to hear Soopy has decided to focus on other priorities, but understandable given his many projects. Thanks a lot Soopy for what you have done for us the past weeks. Be sure to hold on to the UNO we tipped you, its going to be worth a lot more a year from now. Good luck and check by occasionally. Smiley

Don't worry about the fork FK. Right now priorities #1 and #2 should be getting a dev to take over from Soopy and sort out the issue with the outdated website. Any luck on getting access to unobtainium.io?

Hi Learminer, here's what I found out.

Icanprogram offered to change the lnks for us on unobtanium.io   We just need to send him a clear list of links to change.

He also said JacobUx wants to keep the domain unobtanium.io

They have other projects on the unobtanium.io server, so they can't turn the server over over to us.

The unobtanium.io code is out on Github.

Cool, that is some good news, then we can fix those links and maybe prevent anyone else from sharing walkdev's fate by getting sent to coinex.

Here are the Homepage Links that I would say need to be fixed/replaced (some of it blatantly ripped from the OP):

Social
IRC and Reddit are fine I think
Twitter: @unobtanium_uno  [https://twitter.com/unobtanium_uno] (@120unobtanium is inactive)
Facebook: not a member - is there a different go-to UNO page/group on facebook, is the currently linked one fine?

Unoticker.com is down - until that or a comparable service is up we'll have to remove it. Maybe you can review that list FK and forward it to Icanprogram?

I'll have a look at the sourcecode tomorrow, and see how we can get the price-, blockhalfing- and nethash-graphs running again.

That would be nice. It's probably all tied into Rockchain.info, which has been down for weeks. Maybe one of the other explorers could provide the info you need.

I'll send the link updates to Icanprogram.

Thanks for moving this forward!

Okay I got some more feedback for you. I was just thinking, maybe we shouldn't spam this thread with my sourcecode related texts. What way would you prefer for us to communicate FallingKnife: PMs, E-Mail or something else?

PM's work well. If there's interest, we could another public thread.

Edit: Heard back from original UNO creator Blazr2. He said he would forward Unobtanium.info to Unobtanium.uno.  He likes the new domain.  Feels good to have his support on this!

Today Allcrypt opened a new trade pair between UNO/NAUT!  You can now cash out all your NAUT for more UNO. Smiley

Thanks, Allcrypt!

I wonder if that had anything to do with the UNO market geting cleaned out on Allcrypt the other day.

thx. I'll check it out.

If one of you wants to write a promotional text with lots of haleluja (all the strong points and advantages of the coin) for an uno-promo-video please do so. I would create that. Feel free to send to me. Can c/p easy into it.
