great idea. Didn't know about it. That's by far more cheap and convenient to use than banktransfer if someone wants to purchase stuff from a merchant in a foreign country who does not accept your own currency.
Did you test it?

This is going to be a project for us.  I contacted Casheer on Twitter last week and heard back from them. They invited us to start a thread on their forum about Uno. We're going to convince them to add Uno to Casheer.

I also want to do some outreach to companies who accept Coinpayments.net and ask them to add Uno to their accepted coins list. The more the merrier.

uno deleted from mintpal?

Let's have this discussion as a community.  Do you guys want to be on MintPal or not?

What I am observing is that UNO is hoarded, with periods of relatively little trading (such as now); and then there are periods when a lot of UNO changes hands in a short period.

I would Like to be on MintPal, they're still a major exchange, but I don't know what they're committed to these days. And besides me, there's not a lot of you trading there any more since the Vericoin situation.  And there's the matter of MintPal requiring 200 confirms for new UNO transferred to their site, which is a real pain in the ass and which has resulted in a lot of people just keeping away from MintPal.

So my two questions for you are:   1)  Do you want to trade Uno at MintPal?   2)  Do you think it matters if we choose not to be there?

UNO is a different kind of coin. We saved UNO on MP back in March.... I've traded probably 60-70 UNO worth of BTC there since then.  My opinion (and feel free to disagree) is that I don't think UNO needs to be on MintPal to survive.

With so few coins, I think we can do fine on two active exchanges: Cryptsy and Bittrex, and BW's forthcoming exchange. The more I use Bittrex, the more I like it. Bittrex asks for for us to average .1 Btc daily, which we easily accomplish.  I'm also supportive of Allcrypt and I hope their upcoming update can revive it.  

What do YOU think? Do we try to keep Un on MP? And if we do, will you trade there?

Maybe ask them nicely to keep us on for a few more months despite the current low volume, since we have a 2-month promotional period we are building up to.  Otherwise, we should drop them from Unobtanium.uno as quickly as possible, as new Unobtanium community members in the promotional period shouldn't be pointed to them, ...if Mintpal can't handle it.

Seems silly what they are doing; it's a combination of pressuring alts to give them unwarranted volume business while they're making a rational choice to lower the number of alts they have to manage, but how tough is it?  Once you have the process down, it isn't that difficult.  [I could have much stronger comments, but I'm being nice.]  They are located in the primary operational city of the ruling bankers of the world, afterall.

Overall, it's best to have as many suppliers of UNO as possible, offering convenience, choice, and competition to the market participants.

...But that's just my humble opinion.

Re: Mintpal

1.  For large orders like 10kg, trusted members of the forum can do in house, thanks to IMZ

2.  I think most prefer bittrex or coinbroker (given volume numbers) and I think these 2 are where we need focused efforts to gain and maintain 'support' channels to assure fair and quick customer service.  Long term exchange 'partnership'.

3.  Mintpal and Cryptsy stand to be dominate exchange houses, so I do NOT advocate abandoning UNO as tradable on their platform.  But I don't encourage trading there either.  Just let them be.  When the UNO price moves up, trend traders will join in (naturally) so being listed on Cryptsy is a good thing.  Crypts is also a good place to explorer bot trading, and keep grams of Un flowing by the minute.  

BUT worrying about Cry or MP prices is not really needed.  Let the inventory dry up.  And it might be wise to place low ball bids on both just in case someone panic dumps on those exchanges.  Or a hand full offered at tip top rate. Delist them from Unobtanium.uno?  I get the argument, but I like the data, if we do this can we drop them from the index listing but have another /marketpage that displays the numbers?

MP and Cry -- Just let them be.

4.  I do think we need active plans and goals to develop the NAUT/UNO pair.  It is a nice 'price independence' mechanism and NAUT community is strong so it is smart to build a bridge between our communities.  PLUS ... more strong community, fair coins will natural seek to join in.  BTC, LTC are common pairs.  XMR is being established on polo.  Why not get UNO and if not us then a friendly coin like NAUT as another dominating market pair.  

5.  I like the idea of auction sites.  Several coins have already built them.  Unbreakable Coin has said they added UNO (but I don't see it).  I suggest keeping an eye on these auction sites ... it is a great way to exchange UNO for goods/services or be a 'UNO accepted here retailer'  (the Ebay approach - watch dev, noble, unb, know any others?) - the vision is auctioning 1kg UNO for bundles of Xcoin, yet another 'price independence' mechanism that is free of the shenanigans used in 'book' price discovery.  BAD: so far very little action, most of the sites are empty, last year there was a neat looking and very active bitcoin auction site (forget the name and they closed shop in Dec.)

6.  Coin payment networks.  We've done well so far and still growing!  (again IMZ leading the way!!) I like things like coinomatics, and am personally willing to invest in a UNO-matic project.  http://shapeshift.io/

7.  Retail ... always on the to-do list.  We can never have too many merchants on board  but a good coin payment presents makes UNO a universal currency so if we focus on #6 we get #7.

And, concerning Cryptsy . . . shall we act in concert, over time, to buy all the coins in the Uran wallet, thus removing an imbalance in the distribution of the commodity? I understand that I have everything to learn about trading, but in principle:

if community members can buy large-ish packets of UNO from the exchange, and those selling the packets are quietly 'one-waying' Cryptsy, then it's surely win-win?

And UNO is not an instant mined released 10 days ago coin unlike the 'chosen'

Unless moolah accidentally miss spelled UNO "einsteinium", the coin that invoked EMC2 and promises to help science out only to pump, dump, and abandon. _{90% sure this a thinly veiled emc2 P&D in the near future once Moo insiders get the coin cornered.  Last I checked no dev, no communie, no market}

Moolah's move to delete is such an insult it is not even worth the effort to protest.  Be careful of the company you keep, and MP/moo/sys is not a brand I suggest UNO associate with.

As an investor, deleting long listed coins with fair market volumes 'just cuz the new ownership likes short lists' even if I don't trade that coin is shocking and a clear signal that they don't care.  Cryptsy has a few 'problems' but at least they seem to be loyal to a coin once it is listed.  Bittrex at least has a clear rule for maintaining a listing.  

A number of coin communities raised a lot of votes and 'contributed' BTC for votes to get a MP listing.  Now add in the fact that Vericoin was 'hacked' on MP, the roll back, then moolah sweeps in.  Sorry Charlie, I'll coin shop else where, cuz ya'll reek of a blend of sleezee, scamee & scumee.

Support your fellow UNO brother who offers silver bullion if you can.  Fair enough price.  Wish I lived in the UK.  I'd gladly pay a couple Gox'd BTC for just one 'Gox' silver coin.

What if Un could be known as the coin that worships Kim Un but also funds charities that well ... don't.  What if Un sets up a crypto fund that will provide the necessary capital to help NK transition from a dictatorship to a free market economy.  But the pitch is a personal offer of "X Tons of Un" given personally to Kim Un if he declares it as the official reserve currency of NK.  I love the irony of an ironic worship of Un by a community called Un could be used to Un do the Un dynasty via greed to all market participants .. and nobody dies nasty.

Everyone would buy Un cuz it is backed by the NK economy, greed, Kim Un takes the deal, why? greed, then the trojan bomb, a freemarket crypto coin backs the NK economy, they get rich you get rich, how? NK notes now = uno = they are smuggled out in exchange for smuggled in "free nation goods".  The whole of NK will smoke, drink, and Party it's way to being a land of liberty and cryptography, accidentally and bloodlessly.

It is unfortunate that MintPal has taken this approach.  MintPal makes money from transactions and they must believe that they will not generate much with UNO as opposed to various other pump and dumps...

Should our P/R Department representative contact someone there and explain that UNO is the crypto you keep and not a pump and dump scheme? In the long run, as it's value rises like a hockey stick, it will generate much more transaction fees for MP. Are they aware of that fact? Perhaps they don't take the long view.

As close-knit as the UNO community is, while at the same time expanding, I feel the sense of a great loyalty by UNO holders to those who have supported the coin long-term...perhaps MP would like to be included?

BTW, all kinds of excellent stuff going on in here! I shouldn't have been out of pocket so long!

i would rather support an UN (UNO) project to help to build a crypto education center in NK than dealing with a megalomaniac k.UN.t just because part of his (first) name happens to be UN.

i was writng them a mail. Maybe others can do too. I'd hate losing that market. Mintpal has been working pretty reliably and i wouldn't count cryptsy as a market since they are working only sometimes. There are always issues. I don't know if i can deposit or withdraw tomorrow. Mintpal was better in that regard. Hope you guys can save uno another time from being delisted. I'll continue to send mails and tweets over next days.
It's not the end of the world if they delist Uno but i would prefer it if they don't. Please keep writing emails to them so they can keep the market.
Mintpal has a clean look, works pretty reliable. I think once they have their security improved it could be a good exchange again. Hope Uno can stay on there.

@ Mintpal. I am a true nooobie re exchanges. But Bittrex gets great press. And I think 'focussed trade' on two exchanges -- especially for a low-ish volume coin -- is the sound choice. And I will be trading regularly once I have more coin. Trading hard is a tactic we could all pursue.
