@ V 500: thanks for that. What's happening here is a 'naming game.' If I exchange US Dollars for AU Dollars at American Express, I pay a fee, but no tax ('GST'). If I buy bullion, I pay no GST. But if I wanna buy a 'taxable supply':

'Many in Australia’s bitcoin industry expressed dismay at the definition of digital currencies as a taxable supply, a condition that adds 10% to the price of bitcoins sold on Australian exchanges and forces businesses to keep detailed records of transactions and price fluctuations.'

http://www.coindesk.com/australian-senate-launches-inquiry-bitcoin-digital-currencies

Imagine the outcry if tourists with chunks of holiday cash copped a 14% cut -- what we're now paying to buy Bitcoin -- at the American Express booth at the international terminal!

It's bastardry pure and simple.

It's always best to speak the truth. Many 'commercial' reports seem determined to paint only a rosy picture of Australia as a tech-savvy bunch. But it's just not the case. We aren't Bangladesh, but there's no doubt whatsoever that the Powers That Be want to stymie crypto adoption.

only 15 new coins a day!

@IMZ
the tax-thing in crypto will produce a lot of interesting courtcases in the future. I am looking forward to those.

Hey Guys! Finally got the UNO bars through this week, pricing will be available soon, check out this video of the first run (sorry about the quality, high res photos will follow):

http://youtu.be/akiRvYU7I-c

I'll be ordering more, but right now there are only 5 pure silver strikes and around 20 plated ones.
These will be highly collectible by UNO fans! Save one for me!

Don't let KJU get them all!

When I found this picture, I thought the bars were extra large. Then I realized, KJU is just extra small.

Haha I'm surprised that he can hold them with his ankles right now ;-)

 Huh Huh
Question for the techies:  Part I:  How do you use the wallet to send messages on the blockchain with transactions?  We need this for a project.  How do you read those messages?  Do we need a special explorer??
 Huh Huh
Part II:  This is totally different than 'signing', whatever that is, right?  I've heard of the term 'signing' with some sort-of validation of newly mined coinage, and also in terms of BTC Electrum, to 'sign' your offline wallet transactions with an online wallet sans private keys.  Still have no idea what all that means technically, though.
 Huh Huh
The important question is Part I.  Part II is just a pedantic study, I think, but would be great to understand, too.
 Huh Huh
Thanks In Advance!  (T.I.A.!!)

Disclaimer: I'm not an expert on this at all! With that out of the way ...

AFAIK generally speaking there are many ways to attach messages to transactions, but most are considered hacks, have been disabled, are simply not supported by any client or rely on thrid party services. But there is one official way I happened to read about a while ago linked here. This was added to Bitcoin core almost exactly one year ago, so I believe Unobtanium should have that capability.

Basically what it does is OP_RETURN allows you to attach up to 80 bytes of data to a transaction. This is not exposed in the client though, you need to use the transaction API directly to read/write those. Maybe Blazr can give you some more information on this topic, wether it is supported in Unobtanium and if there are any plans to expose this functionality to Unobtanium users...

Sellwalls are my hate-target nr.1 now that we got no big dumpers left.  Cheesy
If you gotta hate something, hate the wall.

Thanks, Learminer. I have no idea . . . but I shall ask.

[We want Datum A = 'Hedge 001/MARKIMZ' to become Datum B = 'Hedge 001/FREDNURKS']

'Pull request #2738 lets developers associate up to 80 bytes of arbitrary data with their transactions by adding an extra “immediately prune-able” zero-valued output.'

no more dumps.
Let's drum up some buypower to eat the annoying 0.01 wall
I'll get more btc. Once at the wall it'll be eaten pretty quick.
Since all weak hands are out there is no reason to not eat the wall. Buy it up to 0.01 on a bit of support and i'll eat most of that wall. No need to drag that out till christmas. The sooner we have those sellwallers out the better. Don't let him pull his wall before we can buy it.

waiting for cryptsy to fix their issues. Dumpers are clearly out. Buysupport isn't the problem.

No trades because no deposit at cryptsy right now.

psychological barrier that one. Eating that wouldn't be a problem at all if everybody would be chipping away on it. Maybe build more support for a day or two before finally breaking it. Sellpressure is so little that we can move to the side on a straight line on weak support. Wuite amazing. Once the 0.01 is broken you and everyone else will be running for it. Ironically people don't like cheap coins. People want to see walls broken to buy higher.

Guess what happens if you drop it: you get all the folks back in that were dumping on you before. And in the end of the day the sellwall doesn't move. Nothing to gain from dropping from cheap to cheaper.

We can trade to the side for a week. It's unobtanium after all.
Stuff will be bought in the end. If i have to do it i'll buy it in one large order. Then you'll wish you would have loaded up a bit more below 0.01

maybe the sellwall is even fake and would be pulled once you come near it. Maybe it's just there to make you dump a few more coins cheap. You would be playing right into it timpeff.
I am very much for holding that line at 0.009 for now and building more support. Support is currently slowly building up in the depth. Once we have enough we'll be buying through in less than 1 hour. Can't wait to buy that wall tbh.
