12 hours waiting on a 0.6 uno withdrawal from cryptsy...

anyone else experiencing delays over there?

I have a theory.
I think Cryptsy ques up smaller amounts of Uno and waits to bundle them into a transaction with a larger withdrawal.
I've noticed this because I always look at the block when I do an exchange withdrawal (I'm just funny that way since MintPal). Even though I received my withdrawal quickly, I often see that there are smaller transactions for others that derive from the same withdrawal address.

So my theory is that when someone withdraws a larger amount of Uno, it will also trigger sending of your 0.6 un.
After it arrives, look up the tx-id in the Chainz explorer and see what you learn.

@ The Bleutrade Exchange:

the Brazilians alone in South America speak Portuguese, and certainly plenty of Bleutrade users speak Spanish.

Do we have any Portuguese and Spanish speakers in our community? Great opportunity here!

thx.

sent support mail & received a quick reply from marjorie that tech support would 'push it through'

it arrived pretty quickly after that.

I replied with gratitude and asked what the cause of the delay was, I';ll report back if theres a reply.

Thanks to whomever began setting up the Bleutrade market.  I have some buy orders in over there.

Allcrypt could also use some coins.
Uh... and Bittrex. Smiley
Cryptsy is also lookin' a little sparse.

UNO has mucho exchanges

cryptsy
bittrex
coinbroker
allcrypt (features NAUT pairing)
Bleutrade (featuring Brazilian markets)
INHOUSE (featuring Trust and Silver bullion pairing)
altmarket (coming soon the Blocktech Alt House)
https://www.coins-e.com/exchange/UNO_BTC/

And as far as I can tell nobody is complaining about stolen Mintpal UNO??
(same can't be said for Veri, sys, karma, dark, etc.)

(same can't be said for Veri, sys, karma, dark, etc.)

I guess because UNO never did take off in a big way on Mintpal, people are not so worried about huge amounts of coin being stored there? Which might very well be a false sense of security.

So far we haven't seen any huge dumps, and IIRC people were able to withdraw their Uno until recently? Its only that a couple of transactions got stuck and those coins are now inaccessible. Which ssounds more like a bug and lack of support staff to resolve the probably huge backlog of issues.

With apologies to Neil Young...

Part Of Un

I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner for a part of Un.
It's these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching for a part of Un.

And I'm such a loon.
Keep me searching for a part of Un
And I'm such a loon.

I've been to Cryptsy
I've been to Bittrex
I crossed the ocean for a part of Un.
I've been in my mind,
It's such a fine line
That keeps me searching for a part of Un.

And I'm such a loon.
Keeps me searching for a part of Un
And I'm such a loon.

Keep me searching for a part of Un.
You keep me searching and I'm such a loon.
Keep me searching for a part of Un
I've been a miner for a part of Un.

Repunza has scored a TT rating in the Hedges market. Go, Repunza!

It's so much fun picking the boomers in this coin-community. Is it theoretically relevant? Don't laugh, people: this community has a 'depth' quite clearly not apparent in other communities. Perhaps the structure of the coin attracts long-termers, that is, more likely boomers with old-school values.

So far we've had Neil Young, John Lee Hooker, and . . . someone FK mentioned?

There were some of us who were trapped in MP, including myself. It seems Alex Green got at least 500 un, based just what people have told me in pm's. This doesn't appear to be a Coinex-level Uno heist, but they did get some. The market had been thin for months, so I'm hoping not many people had Un there. Smaller withdrawals seemed to clear, but larger ones stuck there.

I am still looking for MP withdrawal transactions and addresses from anyone who can provide them. I'd like to try to find their cold strorage wallet.
Also if you lost Un at MintPal, please let me know privately the amount so I can keep a tally.

There were a few large dumps during the past couple weeks. I can't know with any certainty right now if they were related to MP.

I am always wondering the age of people involved in crypto. I like to think you are able to paint a decent picture of individuals age based on the phrases they use and what not.

We all know Imz is grandpa imz on here lol Wink I poke in fun!

So since I am curious by nature, and wouldn't expect people to pony up info about them selves that i am unwilling to divulge, i am 28. Since i showed you mine, wanna show me yours Wink

Or to date my self i guess i could have just asked the thread a/s/l?

Its an interesting question. You'd think that there's many young people into crypto, but my impression is thats mainly the loud teeny-traders on Twitter that create that picture ("yay I'm a millionaire with 18, all praise me"). There's also a whole lot of middle-aged and older people too, they're just less vocal about it.

My guess is that Unobtanium has a more mature audience than many coins, but not by a huge margin. Myself I'm a thritysomething from a tech background, so i fit the cliché of the average crypto enthusiast pretty well. Wink

Yeah, i feel like i missed out on growing up without computers. They were always around, so i can see how kids today will feel about cellphones. Even though i certainly remember a time where there were epic fights over using the house phone. It makes me wonder if crypto is that next wave in technology. Or what the next life changing tech will be.

I would like my phone to be really useful. Like if i am hiking, being able to take a picture of anything, search the web based on that photo to find out what it is and the information about it. Was the spider that just bit me a brown recluse? Sci-fi like shit really, scanning something and being able to know everything about it. Like what the amazon fire phone does for media items, but with everything in life. I think we are getting close to this. This would then be incorporated into wearable tech, like google glasses or some crap, and bam. We are all now androids. The future is awesome.

Lol! I do concur! We do have some memes posted, but it is the internet! And yeah, having the coin being built off something that isn't a meme does help add a teeeeny little bit of validity to it. Just a smidgen.

Google Goggles, when it first came out, hinted that it would eventually be able to do things like this.  Like "Hmm, wonder this tree is.  Let me just take a picture of a leaf on it and Goggles will just tell me."

While Google would certainly be capable of this kind of thing, I have not, however, been aware of them putting effort into this aspect of Goggles.

It certainly would be nice to know immediately if it was a brown recluse that had bitten you! Smiley

Nice feedback! I'd have bet that the average age here is higher.

Lol it would! All the pieces for this sort of thing exist, we are in the age of data aggregation. We have so much data we don't even know what to do with it yet. When all the parts tie in together, it will be amazing. I am curious about that type of stuff, and the tree idea is exactly what me and my friend were talking about. Yeah, we could have just googled what we thought it was and hopefully found something like "this tree has a leaf structure similar to ..." and went from there but it isn't life or death, we are mildly curious but not enough so to devote 30+ minutes to finding the answer.

I am 54 but have packed a superxtramega lot of adventures in.

lol @ superxtramega Cheesy

Here is another fun question, what other words do people use that are an amalgamation of other words? For instance i use chizzilaxin and chillaxin rather frequently in my lexicon.

Altcoinfaucets.net is asking for a btc donation to continue the faucet service.

I'm thinking it might be time to end this service, since Cryptap.us is also providing a reliable faucet that is well used as part of his broader services to the UNO community.
I don't see the need to double up on it. The same people who use Cryptapus' faucet also probably using Altcoinfaucet.net.
The main advantage is having an extra 0.9.5 node on the network and a bit of extra exposure, but we'll be fine without it.

If anyone feels they want to keep it, you can donate to this address. Otherwise, I'll let it go.

The demographic conversation is interesting. In keeping with anonymity, does anyone have access to a survey site that we could use to post some anonymous age-range questions, continental locations, computer saviness, years in crypto, political leanings, other favorite coins, etc.?

I think it would be interesting to see the info on the "average" UNO aficionado. I think that we're a very diverse group.
