Trying to get the big picture here, I've seen this info summarized before, but I can't seem to find it at the moment...

Approximately how many coins are being minted per day now?  (I seem to recall 16, but not sure.)

The main unobtaium.uno page says:

Unobtanium distribution has two stages. Roughly 190,000 units will be distributed during the first 6 block halvings. The remaining 60,000 units are for long-term mining support.

Since that page also currently shows the number of mined coins as 191,970.72, I assume we are now in that "remaining 60,000 unit" phase that I think I understand will last for some 300 years.  Are there going to more block halvings in this period?  If so, how many, and when is the next one?  Will the number of coins per day being minted also be cut in half at that time from what they currently are?

Blazr posted a table of the rewards structure way back in this thread. Hope that answers your questions.

Re Hedges: whether Bitcoin is up or down, and whether you personally are trading Btc/Uno ('cause of your buy-in prices), you can always trade Hedges 'cause they are valued against a much more stable ('outside') commodity.

Hmm, not sure how to read that spreadsheet screenshot.  What are columns B and C?  And how does it tell me how many coins are being approximately created today and when the next halving is expected to happen (roughly)?  Sorry, I'm pretty new to this stuff.  Bought my first BTC Feb. 26th this year and my first UNO July 22nd.

I'm pretty sure it's about 15 coins/ day.  Someone said that after the 16/day was originally mentioned, and I calculated 15, too.

Go look at the block explorer, and take the # per hour empirically, and calculate per day.

Block reward should average once per 3 minutes, but varies greatly minute-by-minute depending on difficulty, etc.  It's currently 0.03125 UNO about each 3 minutes.  When it halves, again, it will be half the amount of UNO per  each block, still ~3 minutes each.

I don't know when it will halve, but it's already so low, I don't really care.  Unobtanium is SCARCE!

For homework, you can calculate when it will halve, again, by using the 1st block number of the next halving, checking the current block in the link I provided above, then multiplying the difference with 3 minutes to make your own estimate.  Your calculation will be as good as anyone else's, most likely.  

When you get an estimated date, please post it, because I'm waaay too lazy to figure it out, myself.

Oh, Column B and C:  Column A is the Blocks calculated by the miners about once every 3 minutes for the life of Unobtanium. Column B is the amount of UNO that the miners will get of NEW UNO issued per block; (if you verify this on the block explorer, the link I gave above, you will see some extra in the blocks; most of the extra is transactions on the network, but a tiny bit extra is from the 'network transaction fees' that also go to the miners.)  Lastly, Column C is the total amount of NEW UNO that is created mining the blocks in the tier in the row you are reading = # Blocks x Amount of UNO/block, basically, Column A multiplied by Column B.

You can click on a block number from the link above, and get details on what UNO went to which addresses in that block.  In the following block (link below), I sent another pathetic donation to the explorer website dude, a total of 0.25 UNO.  See how my super-tiny 0.001 transaction fee was added to the block reward that goes to the miner?  [edit:  There's another transaction in the block, so it's a little more complicated.  I couldn't get a block with only my transaction in it after trying 3x.]

Well, as far as I can see, it looks like they had to draw some out of that wallet, and this is the new one, so I assume things are fine, and hopefully the strategy to buy on cryptsy and then removing your coins from the exchange is actually working.  Freaky to see it all in real-time, though.  

The richlist hasn't updated, but that's clearly an explorer programming thing, then!

Can anyone tell me what to do when I receive, "Error opening block database.  Do you want to rebuild the block database now"?

After clicking, "Ok", I receive, "Error opening block database".  When I click OK, the program shuts down.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I think it may be time for the dreaded computer factory reset... This computer has developed a lot of quirks. 

Backing up files now.  Unless I figure something out, planning on Sunday into Monday for the reset.

BTW - approx 200 more UNO to make it to the top 100 list.  (Don't know if that will happen)
