I think it may be time for the dreaded computer factory reset... This computer has developed a lot of quirks. 

Backing up files now.  Unless I figure something out, planning on Sunday into Monday for the reset.

BTW - approx 200 more UNO to make it to the top 100 list.  (Don't know if that will happen)

Yes he does!!! That transaction was smooth!!! I might never buy UNO off of Cryptsy again.  We can just do this all ourselves.

I have had my heart in my mouth, Philogus: Theory Guy rushin' in where angels fear to tread.

Make no mistake, the automated exchanges are fabulous; but we can sorta 'game the system' by not being reliant on them. Best of both worlds. It will take months and months to develop -- Uno/Btc, BeneX, Escrow V500, Hedges, bullion, buy sell stuff like Unbreakable Auctions, develop 'national chapter' cash-for-cryptos arranged by Internet-bank transfer (IMZ was doing this a year ago) -- but it all makes the 'core community' stronger and stronger.

Can anyone tell me what to do when I receive, "Error opening block database.  Do you want to rebuild the block database now"?

After clicking, "Ok", I receive, "Error opening block database".  When I click OK, the program shuts down.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am using Unobtanium-Qt wallet, Version v0.9.5.0

Not sure if you have fixed this or not yet.

If not, try the following:

Assuming you are using Windows. Navigate to Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\unobtanium

Backup your wallet.dat file somewhere safe (make sure the unobtanium client is not running when doing this).

Then delete the block database files and directories, usually something like:

\database
blk0001.dat
blkindex.dat
(Basically any file or directory with block or blk in the name)

Start up the client again and it should re-sync with a valid block chain.

Where in the world does it need to go?

Maybe we can get the winner (Ocean Array guy) to accept the UNO direct or have it held in trust until payment can be facilitated.

ABN Amro in the Netherlands -- but my bank (small town) couldn't do it off the bat. Said that details A and B were missing. I then rang another branch of the same bank. A more experienced employee assured me that A and B were not a problem -- but I needed C. I have sent a third email to the organisation that represents the Award winner. Should know C by the time I go to town tomorrow.

Bitcoin National, I have been phrasing in my mind a brief and polite text for Organisation Bloke. It is hard to imagine many groups that stand to benefit more from the ability of cryptos to gather international micro-donations. Here is the 'consultancy culture' that I keep yammering about.

Small-cap coins offer, i opine, an accessibility to the coin-community core,  and a directness of communication, that don't exist in Bitcoin. Can we use these guys as a test-case? 'mentor' them through 'Organisational Crypto-Acceptance 101"?

Speaking of which -- can someone in the States ring the Unobtanium beer makers? ('Straight-to-Ale')

How will Unobtanium market react to this possible BTC price drop over the short term?  I make monthly UNO buys and would welcome a cheaper BTC to buy UNO.  The question is - will UNO supply and demand dynamics cause a drop in UNO price along with BTC?  We've all seen what upticks in demand do to the UNO trade.  I'm content to steadily buy and hold, I mean hodl.

bearish BTC tends to be reinvested in promising ALTs ... hello UNO!

bullish BTC tends to cause short investors to dump ALTs aka buy BTC

I can't even say "tends to" because ALTs are about 1year old, there no much data yet.

BUT

non-inflationary / rare / fair / and asset backed

that's going beat BTC anyday ... bear or bull BTC markets ...  I'll hodl me uno.
