Awh my stash of metals is small! Uno was my entry into it, sir Charles was my first silver purchase with Uno none the less!! Investing in ammo was the closest i came to investing in metals before this. Interesting stuff though! Happy Thanksgiving to all those who are celebrating

Rice all I see is rice. Dreams of turkey, mash and gravy. But I did find this tender morsel of food for thought ... UNO averages a daily volume of more than 1.0 BTC/24hrs ... heck check the last 24hrs ... remember just 15 coins are mined (and less will be mined). Un not the most traded coin but it holds a place if you consider the 30day average. If Un continues to maintain this daily volume (btc wise) then what is the fair market value? More than .01 ... I figure about x6 that. But that is just simple math of production/daily volume. There needs to be an adjustment for investors exiting the market for cash flow purposes. Caution says lets stay in the ranges of 70-80-90-100-111, the market being made in the middle, for a quarter or so and thus this leaves lots of room for a high money velocity. This could make for a very tight and fast market of +/-5% for day traders. But I think outside 'LONG' buyers will likely seek to acquire +100kilo stores and this shifts the market to another stage and level. If you hold more than 100kg already ... my guess and hope is that 1 year from now you are very Thanks Giving with pockets full of stuffing! TY to he that got Un on the homepage default list ... moving up the ranks! Speaking of moving up the ranks! Lots of action! My Thanks giving going out to those holding the line!

Christmas 'card' for the German-language thread.
How easy is this: we put 'Frohe Weihnachten!' (Thank you, Google) on a post, and everyone who wants to adds their name, and copies it on.
Das is goot, yah?

https://www.coindesk.com/citi-chief-economist-bitcoin-closest-commodity-goldFor the record: the writer's grasp of 'value theory' is all but nil. I will debate him in any public forum any place any time! Find an anthropologist: is gold intrinsically valueless? No, because all life-forms that see in colour are attracted to shiny things, and thereby accord inordinate value to those things -- like girls and shoes. The term used in literary critical theory is 'structuralism.' Feel free to post your answers on the question below: there's gonna be an enormous funeral at a cemetery in a western nation. Two fresh-rose-selling stalls at the front gate will be up for rent. One will be allowed to sell only white roses. The other is allowed to sell only red roses. Which stall will sell the most roses? Here's the answer: http://indiamikezulu.com.au/462/white-or-red/m

don't sell uno too much to speculators and more to bullion dealers is a very good idea. Get them bullion dealers deep into uno You kill 4 birds with one stone. (less supply on the market, more merchant adoption, establish good association uno <-> metals is good for the brand too, and the merachants are happy with more business too) Win for everyone. Very good developement for the economy of Unobtanium. Merchant adoption for uno: bullion dealers first, luxury and jewellery later. Later goal: Get Tesla Motors to accept Uno Give me gold and diamonds for Unobtanium!

Since he was talking the "Bitcoin as commodity" angle, I left a comment up there about the current inflationary aspects of Bitcoin and made a plug for Unobtanium.

the smallest pieces are indeed expensive. I think that too. On the other side: Bars in most contries have an extra tax. Often you get the coins cheaper. Pieces smaller than 1oz are normally more expensive. Maybe coaex can offer bigger coins for better price in the future too?

The smaller ones are ridiculous, but oh so 'cute' - id buy plenty if they were anywhere near spot price
but even the 100g is 75usd PLUS shipping where 3.2 troy oz of silver is currently 51 usd.
anyone buying will ALSO be required to pay these extra tax/fees on top.
i dont consider myself tight or stingy but why so much mark up...?
Especially with the smaller weights?
in my experience the coins are the worst for investment purposes, but the best for gifting.
and most people who receive gold coins (again IME) will sell them at a price significantly lower than spot.
i saw a south park episode that kind of covered this.. 'Cash for Gold' S16E02
fools buy overpriced gold/jewels (from QVC..)
gift/leave in will to younger fools
young fools sell at scrap price
'scrap' gets remoulded and resold to new fools at overpriced rates
forever..
NOT THAT I AM CALLING ANYONE A FOOL, I just wish to understand - and maybe make a purchase without feeling 'pillaged'

these ridiculous prices in smaller ones are due to the spread in altcoins, in general you will be able to name your own price in Q1 2015 for all items.

Hi. Ian Foxley here, some of you might know, I am doing some comparision videos on Youtube between two cloud mining companies and today I have some good news. Genesis Mining has added UNO coin to the list of coins that you can mine with their company. As it is black Friday today they are also doing a Black Friday special with 10% off the price of any contract, This also works additionally with a promo code, mine is in my signature I will be downloading the wallet later and hopefully will mine some UNO coins too. Just made a youtube video which you can watch here if you like http://youtu.be/G7u-efPXn-oThanks Ian

Will need to purchase some fresh BTC so I can try this out. It seems like you encountered a small bug when visiting our homepage, the stats section was not updated with the rewards graph and latest stats like the latest current hashrate. Sorry for that, I don't know what went wrong there. All data is usually fetched from a blockexplorer and then updated via JavaScipt so it is up to date. Maybe there was a timeout or a service was down shortly. If the problem persists I would appreciate any feedback you could give me to track down the problem. Hope you'll have a good time mining UNO! Precious little coin it is.

Just bought a little extra hashrate and pointed 500GHs at UNO in my Genesis Mining account. To those wanting to do the same, don't forget to add a payout wallet address in your account first, or the UNO setting won't be saved on the mining allocation page

I did notice whilst looking now that it takes a few seconds to update that info so If I had stayed on the screen in my video for a few more seconds it would have showed up, sorry about that. I will update the video I think, will post new link I have redone the video. http://youtu.be/G7u-efPXn-o
