Yeah, that's what I thought. IMO, since investing are likely slow trading then I think it is perfect for newcomers since they don't need to make an in-depth analysis of the market because you could have just bought some good tier coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum then hold it for a time, doesn't need that much experience. Unlike in trading which is kinda more complicated than investing because you need actually to make TA every time. It does need experience and knowledge as well otherwise all of your trade will be a mess. They can be both profitable but it always depend on how you will handle them.

Trading IMO if you are really good at it will offer higher ROE in a faster time compared to investing but Trading is a lot harder than investing for me. This is exactly what people do not understand. It is not one right or wrong answer, it all depends on the person and the period. An investor that invests during a bear market and knows what is he is doing will profit a lot later on, a trader that trades during bull market would make a decent return if he is good, there are tons of other possible scenarios as well.

For Instance, if you have 10k at hand, you want to invest/trade with. Why not invest some 7k in longterm investments, keep 2k cash in case you see some hot looking opportunity, and use another 1k for trading with lowest possible risk in the beginning.

Trading is not completely like gambling. Because there are 2 types of trading that can be done at this time. Spot trading and futures trading. If you say trading like gambling may be more appropriate for futures trading, because futures trading is a derivative trading transaction that uses a margin trading system. You can only guess whether it will go down or go up and then you place a bet in the form of coins that you have. if your guess is wrong and gets liquidated, your coins will be lost. Forums was awash with "good traders" in 2017 for example, people who actually thought they hit the secret for making profits consistently. Being a good trader is not a small part of it, being a trader is a big part of it if you ask me, however luck is definitely a great deal in trading as well. If I had to give it a percentage, I would say 80-20 rule happens here as well, 80% is being a good trader and 20% is about being lucky, and 20% is not a bad one neither because you can be the best trader in the crypto world and still 20% depends on how lucky you can get.

This is why I believe it is quite obvious that we are not going to end up with a very good situation in a bad market that easily, or a very bad situation in a great market neither. I think there is no advantage on trading and investing because they are both risky and sometimes profitable. The profit that you can get on trading or investing is always depend on how you do it by yourself with your own strategy with the help of your knowledge or experience on both trading and investing.

Indeed both has risk and profitable but this depends on our plan and strategy. Some people are earning huge on trading because they take time learning on how it works to execute a good result. It is also an advantage if you know how to make a TA because thats how you can predict the next move to do for the coins that you're planning to buy or sell.
