And for a gambler perspective Casimero is a good fighter to challenge Inoue, though it will going to depend from how the promoters will push that possibility to engage into a negotiation against Inoue, but as of this moment there are more fighters who are also willing to challenge Inoue, fighters who also taking their time to have that chance.

It's on Inoue's camp to work out to whoever side they will choose for the next fight for Inoue, we just need to wait for any update and announcement from his camp.

Inoue will be fighting Nery, the number 1 challenger this May.

Naoya Inoue vs Luis Nery reportedly agreed for May in Tokyo

The speculation now is who will be nexst in line, will it be Casimero or another boxer that has a better ranking than him? I know there are a lot of Filipino fans here, we are so bias when it come to our fight, we want Casimero to have a chance to fight Inoue, but as you said, that depends on the promoter.

Yup, even, how desperate the fans might be the decision will always be with Inoue's camp. Like what you mentioned, it's all set to face Nery, who is the number 1 challenger. Inoue will again be tested in this division as he holds all the belts. We don't know what the outcome will be of that said upcoming fight, so better not to speculate yet about what the possibilities for Casimero if he will be next in line.

It's better for him and his camp to deal with another camp and bring his name up to get that decent opportunity to call for Inoue.

We don't know what the outcome will be of that said upcoming fight, so better not to speculate yet about what the possibilities for Casimero if he will be next in line.
Nery could fight Casimero if he wins the fight, it's still a good fight though. But, as we all know, the chance of Nery winning via an upset is very slim, more like 10% or even lower based on the betting odds now, so I don't expect him to win. Inoue vs Casimero, such an entertaining fight in paper, but let's see if promoters will agree to this, especially on the side of Inoue who are dictating the terms.

It's better for him and his camp to deal with another camp and bring his name up to get that decent opportunity to call for Inoue.

I'm sure Casimero's camp already have that in their plan, Inoue wants a worthy opponent and it will not happen if Casimero will not show a fight that he wins impressively.

Have you just seen this fight, it was a one-sided fight as Artur Beterbiev devastated the fighter that is never been knockout, Callum Smith it was a really fierce fight for sure Artur Beterbiev sent a devastating blow to Callum Smith truly you must see the match on the 1st round Beterbiev just let out a blitz of punches on Smith and you can hear the sound of his heavy punch, hitting Smith, it was brutal,

I had no time to watch it live but I know how destructive Artur Beterbiev is so I watched the highlights and it was what I expected, too bad that we don't seem to see him soon inside the ring because obviously, no opponent will try their luck against that brutal puncher ever unless he is Bivol or some boxer who is willing to risk it all for a huge paycheck. Looks like he runs out of opponents due to his legendary boxing skills and it seems there will be no other choice out there but to match him with Bivol. How I wish to see him fight at least thrice a year but due to his knockout skills no one would ever dare to even provoke him with their words.

^^ It was one sided fight for Arthur Beterbiev over Callum Smith, Smith though fight valiantly, but Beterbiev is too much for him that he wasn't able to take advantage of his height and reach against the shorter Beterbiev. And then he eat a lot of punches,

Quote
Beterbiev’s promoter, Bob Arum, indicated that a potential full unification bout between his charge and Dmitry Bivol, the WBA titlist, could materialize later this year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Arum said there was strong interest in that matchup from Turki Alalsihkh, the head of Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Entertainment, a body that oversees some of the oil-producing country’s most significant cultural events, including Riyadh Season.

https://www.boxingscene.com/bob-arum-optimistic-beterbiev-bivol-happen-expects-saudi-arabia-stage-it-summer--180730

So it's good to hear that Saudi is very interested to see the Bivol vs Beterbiev unification fight. And we all know that if this rich oil nation wanted it, definitely money is not going to be a problem as long as they can make the fight happen in their country in Riyadh Season. Most likely we will see this huge fight at 175 lbs.

Will the money that the Saudis will offer be enough for WBC president Mauricio Sulaimán to allow a unification fight against Bivol without removing Beterbiev from his WBC light heavyweight championship? Is the war between Russia and Ukraine not anymore on Sulaimán's agenda?

I speculate that many boxing fans might predict this to be a victory for Beterbiev but the sportsbooks will list Bivol with very small odds heheheee.

It's all about the money mate, obviously it was a hot topic with the war going on in Russia. But Bivol was able to fight after his win on Canelo in Saudi recently, so it just shows that if everything is right and everyone is making money to promoters, boxers and organizations and it's coming from the oil rich country, then they can step aside everything and push the fight.

So I believed that this fight is going to happen and Mauricio is going to be in a hurry to put this fight in the line for the Saudis and make a U-turn as far his political views.

Definitely, Beterbiev might be the favorite in this fight, but it could be closer.

There are a lot of fans waiting for someone to knock Inoue out. But even if we want to see that happen someday, if he's on his prime and he don't want to accept offers outside his home country then we just better accept the fact that he's always at advantage.

For fighters like Casimero, it doesn't matter if he's gonna have the fight inside or outside the host country. What matters to him is that he should fight him soon. Well, he's been mentioned by the Inoue's camp that he's likely to get boxed at the end of this year.

But it's still a long time and we'll see the development of it.

I think Inoue is about in his prime at this stage, in his 30's and we all know that is the age wherein boxer are really performing at a high level and so it's really hard to see how someone can beat Inoue even John Riel Casimero, who is about to hit his sunset at he is in the mid 30's if I'm not mistaken. And perhaps this is the reason why he keep on calling Inoue because he knows that in the next couple of years, he will be in the decline. Unfortunately, he has nothing to offer to Inoue, he doesn't have the belt, all his wins in 122 lbs are not that convincing. While Nery has been campaigning here for years and in the top of the division and correct me if I'm wrong, he is the mandatory challenger for one of Inoue's belt and that's why they said that they are going to fight him first after winning all the belts at super bantam.

I understand why people are actually wanting to see Inoue get knocked out by someone. I have not seen him lose a single fight. then I went to Google to see if he had actually ever lost. But he actually never lost in his career if I'm not wrong. I actually saw his last 5 fights. I saw him being very impressive. Actually I was a little ignorant because I had not seen him fight previously before his last five fights. But now I am going to see most of his fights. Maybe educate myself as well. But I can say that from the fights that I have seen him do, he is certainly very impressive. And it is easy to be hated when you have not lost any fight. I think that's the stage he is at right now in his career.

for now, i don't think casimero has the chance to fight inoue, considering in the next 6 months or a year. there will be other boxers in line before him. but i do agree, there are so many boxing fans waiting for this match. just think of the thread here before dedicating for these 2. we had a long discussion but didn't come to reality. as they are claiming before that inoue was quite scared of casimero's strength inside the ring. well, we haven't seen them yet inside the ring. so that is yet to be seen.

We all know Inoue is one of the best fighter in boxing nowadays cause still he can prove tonus that he is the monster in every fight of him. And yes Inoue nowadays still don't have losses so he is undefeated  but as I observe in his achievements he fought in his homeland which is pretty good enough cause he is the advantages  cause his homeland is his comfort place to fight. But we must see the more exciting to watch once he go outside and fight in different countries.

IMO, he does not have much of an advantage fighting in Japan since most of his fights end up via KO wins. Maybe  a little bit of inspiration fighting in front of his supporters, but he also fought in the US and we still saw the same outcome. Inoue is so hype right now but honestly,  I don't see him as good as those boxers that are also a top pound for pound boxers.

As per ranking here : https://www.ringtv.com/ratings/

1- Terrence
2- Naoya
3- Usyk
4- Canelo.

I believe the best in this ranking is Terrence, because I see that he has more quality opponents, probably 2nd is Canelo and I'll put Inoue on the 3rd.

This is just my personal opinion though, you might not agree with it, but it's okay.

We don't have much of a fight Saturday night.
There's one in Liverpool for the IBF Women's Welterweight Title.
Natasha Jonas versus Mikaela Mayer
But before that.
Jack Cullen versus Zak Chelli for the British Super Middleweight Title.

Anyway, as I was looking for a boxing fight and watching some highlights on YouTube, I found one intriguing in "shorts". I don't know why it popped out in my recommendation. Roll Eyes
Upon researching it is said that weigh-in went viral, I don't know why. Roll Eyes

A very beautiful lady Cherneka Johnson fought on June 10, 2023 (Edwards versus Campos - main event), and lost against Ellie Scotney in a unanimous decision. Her IBF super bantamweight title was taken from her after she defended that against Susie Ramadan where she was bloodied with a big cut on her forehead. (above the eyes.)

Look at that big hole in her head.
I think this young lady will be back to reclaim her title. I will make sure next time I won't miss the weigh-in. She had her rest for 7 months and I think she is healed from the damage where she also cut her right eye due to a head clash. I am hoping the next weigh-in will also go viral. Grin

-snip-

Yes there are replays and highlights you can watch and actually, I also just watch the fights on the replay aswell, because I don't have time to watch it live on a pay-per-view, but the fight was still epic for sure Artur Beterbiev is just that great of a boxer and for sure Calum Smith is also a well-known boxer and this is the 1st time for him to be knock-out by his opponent, so this is a huge feat for Beterbiev as he is a smaller guy to beat the taller and has the range advantage guy, so for sure it was a worth it win for Artur Beterbiev,

This fight needs to happen just to close all debate on who is the great boxer between the two, as Artur Beterbiev is getting aged he is now 38 years old, getting into his 40 might not be the same anymore, for sure he just have 2 years top, or maybe 1 depending of how the aging process can affect his body and skill that is, then a younger Dmitry Bivol that is only 33 years old, for sure this two is the only top prospect that could go toe to toe with each other, and for sure it is going to be an epic fight,

Money is all the promoters need then the arab is willing to pay just to see this two clash inside the ring, for sure it will be an epic fight,

^^ I think Arum will have to make that fight for Beterbiev, it could be Arthur's last fight for all we know and he may want to get out with a bang and become a unified champion at Light Heavyweight. And with Bivol not having a good dance partner or at least building his momentum after winning against Canelo, he will need Beterbiev at this point.

So it boils down on negotiations, but then again, as we have said, if the Saudis are willing then both of this camp can sit down and talk and all agreed for this big fight again in the Middle East. They just need to heal their body as they come from a fight and then Beterbiev will go after Ramadan.

What's just good with Casimero is that he is persistent and have it on his mind that he's going to beat Inoue. That's actually the spirit of a boxer and from a champion, Inoue knows best and he's unbeatable at the moment.

No reasons or excuses that need to be made and at the same time, this is just pure business for both ends. If given the chance that Casimero is able to box Inoue.

I'm sure that both of them are going to give their best but I am on the side of Inoue still because the fighting style of Casimero will easily be stomped by Inoue's rythm and power.

When he's been in the same weight class as dangerous knockout artists like Golovkin, Beterbiev, or Benavidez he will completely avoid them for as long as possible. Inoue and Crawford have not had any losses or controversial decisions so to me they deserve to be considered the two best fighters in the world.

Beterbiev could climb faster on that rank if only he was young but considering his age, he no longer can do that and only has a few fights left. He needs to defeat his remaining opponents before he retires but he should do it with Bivol first, the guy is a massive wall against his opponents and it could be hard for him to find someone who would willing to face him considering his destructive powers and skills. right now, It's between Crawford and Inoue because this is their era unless someone will gonna shock them and defeat them in a unique way. After all, everything is possible especially when they have the right skills and destructive power to defeat their opponent.

It is easier to decide to clash when there is a Saudi prince right in front with a pile of cash. Ngannou has become their favorite as of now, whoever fights with him, I think will have to happen in Saudi as long as they are as big as Ngannou.

Beterbiev is a Canadian though and he will likely be inviting fighters to be in his country as they can host a big crowd. Unlike Ngannou who is from Cameroon, a poor country that probably has no arena capable of making rich men sit comfortably to watch him fight.

I agree with what you said, if Arthur still have more upcoming fight he can climb from the rankings but due to his age and it might be limited fight that he can have chances to get the first or seond place is no longer possible as per a fan base credentials, with both Crawford and Inoue who made their runs that place suits them from 1 and 2 spot, unless both figthers suffered from a surprise lost and the young blood will contnue dominating the weight divsion that will change the positioning.

So far, I also going to put Crawford at the top and next is Inoue as he again unifies all the belts from his current division.

I agree but I hope all negotiations will eventually be OK as you have said this is a great retirement for Artur Beterbiev and this is a great chance for him to fight Bivol if he wins this he will be remembered as a true legend who didn't back down from anything, while Dmitry Bivol this will surely challenge what he can truly do inside the ring, we can see that in their fight, for sure if this fight would progress it will be one of the epic fights, and for sure many will likely watch this one, as I am one of the excited dude that want to witness this,

If you watch his every Vlog he surely has the confidence in his eyes that he can beat Naoya Inoue, but even if I am Filipino and for sure I will be supporting my fellow Filipino boxer, I am still doubting Casimero if he can do the job that Nonito Donaire and Marlon Tapales couldn't achieve for sure he will talk that he can beat Naoya Inoue so many will be curious if he really can challenging Naoya Inoue is one point that he is really brave in what he really wants but for sure that bravery can sometimes led to maybe victory or defeat, but yeah he is a persistent one that is why sometimes Naoya Inoue cannot keep his cool and would lead for him to accept the challenge without the concern of his corner,

If this is the UFC he can request a 1 fight every month or maybe he can do it but the thing is some doctors will not allow such a thing in boxing but maybe he can Tyson Fury once thought he would not have some serious hits against Francis Ngannou and decided he can have a fight with Oleksandr Usyk at December but because Ngannou have devastated him in some rounds the fight with Oleksandr Usyk was canceled and move, Artur Beterbiev can surely request something like that but the toll in his body could be outrageous, but I wish he can do something like that so he can catch up and get his target,

There have been big fights in Canada, but it's more on the Quebec area, during Jean Pascal reign as a LHW championship, majority of his fight or at least defending it against a great opponent, it's been held in Canada. He is a Haitian born, so like Beterbiev, he moves to Canada to pursue his dream.

But the money right now is in Saudi, bitter rivals Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing and Frank Warren of Queensberry Promotions has shake hands recently to make a 5 of 5 fight in Saudi, thanks to H.E. Advisor Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA). So if Beterbiev wanted to get more money before he retires, him and Bob Arum should make the fight with Bivol in Saudi Arabia.
