So only slaman predicted the upset, but it wasn't to be. 3 goals up until 72nd minute from just 2 shots on goal and an Onana own goal... and then Cameroon found their shooting boots. No one predicted the draw huh?

But what a treat the second half turned out to be, just as a 3rd-placing game should be haha. Why couldn't the teams have played like this all tournament long huh? Aboubakar's got to get the Golden Boot, even a Mane 4-goal haul won't be enough.

What a turnaround by Cameroon, who went from 3-0 down to 3-3 in the last 20 minutes to play, with 29-year-old Aboubakar adding a brace to his record of 8 goals, this has to be the tournament's best game. I don't think tomorrow's match between Senegal and Egypt will be particularly intriguing; they are two uninteresting teams..

Burke's Faso 3-5 Cameroon ( Penalty shootout)

Burkina Faso let the game away; how could they let a 3-0 lead slip away in less than 30 minutes in such a crucial match? Nobody deserves it more than Abuobakar to be named the tournament's MVP.

but this one was really great, Cameroon scored three goals in last twenty minutes, and Burkina was down emotionally, but Cameroon could not finish it before penalties as well

Great game for 3rd place, too bad I stopped watching at 3:0 for Burkina, never thought Cameroon had it in them to turn it around. I expect totally opposite encounter today with much more emphasis put on defense and would not be surprised to see 0:0 game. Maybe we get lucky and there is an early goal and we see another great game but if it stays 0:0 for long it will just get more and more boring.

Egypt is my choice so I am very happy that the 4th choice country is in the final. Only 2 of them to my knowledge play outside Egypt so that is a bigger achievement even while most of Senegal players play overseas.

I predict that Senegal will win this championship, where while being the coach of Senegal, Aliou Cisse has made many positive changes. Of course, it cannot be separated from Cisse, who is a legend of the Senegalese national team who must already know the strengths and weaknesses of his team.
Aliou Cisse has given many achievements to the Senegal national team where as a player he managed to bring Senegal into the world cup in 2002 and in 2018 he as a coach also managed to bring Senegal into the world cup, maybe today's final is a very valuable moment for Aliou Cisse to give trophy for his country.

Cameroon players did wonders yesterday by equalize 3:3 and later defeated Burkina Faso  through penalty shoot out. Burkina Faso really played Cameroon in the first half that makes people to concluded that Burkina Faso will defeat Cameroon 3:1 for the favour of Burkina Faso but 20 minutes to the end of the match Abuobakar started downloading goals to become 3:3 before the penalty goes to the favour of Cameroon. Abuobakar will definitely achieve something good from his performance in this tournament because he has the highest goal scores.

group stage was a borefest, half of the Round-of-16 was fine, but after that it's been really entertaining... and we've got one of the "dreams final", Senegal v Egypt, Mane v Salah, arguably the two biggest stars in african football. all in all, 8/10 tournament for me, hope we see an epic final tonight... would not mind if the game goes to the penalty shootout tho, the more dramatic the finale, the better

It's been one a hell of a tournament, and you never know what to expect, but It was a real good competition in the pool from start to finish..

Not the competition we all expected at first, but the pool competition made it look interesting and entertaining. I started to lose interest when Nigeria was knocked out, so I only watched a few matches, but the competition ends today, and it was well worth watching!

Senegal will definitely win this match because they will not joke with their opportunity to defeat Egypt 2:0 to win  this AFCON title 2022. The both team has performed wonders in this tournament that made them to qualify for final.
Salah need to play well to make his fans believe he so much in this final battle. But Senegal goal keeper will do everything possible to make sure their team imagine winner.

I think Senegal are worthy winners of this year's AFCON. Although they were slow in the group phase (goal difference 1-0 in 3 games), they were really good in the knockouts and were a better team in the final as well.

I'm really happy for Mane - he scored the winning penalty after missing the one in regular time and has won the Player of the tournament award.
Salah paid the price of being the 5th penalty kick taker, I would never choose my best taker to be last. Yes, if it comes to the 5th, you want your best guy there - but too often it doesn't because someone who is a worse taker screws up before that.

it is interesting that penalty came on same minute as Morocco game, maybe Egyptian are lacking stability in minute 7, and that is it, after that you cannot score against them in kick-out matches (Morocco used penalty, Senegal did not, but Morocco lost in the end, and Senegal won, irony?)

nevertheless, in the end finished 2nd in the leader-board, 0,5 points below CLS63, did not expect that, but forcing 0:0 on Egypt pushed me up
