And again it was a really nice gain for people who bet against odds. World Cup full of "surprises".

This is why world cup is a difficult compition to predict and quiet different from every other compitions. Here teams don't only play with experience or their skills but the passion they have for their country and as nation. World cup is totally different from club compitions where you have big teams keep dominating.
 
I think the spirit of victory overwhelmed the Croatians and they ensured the victory was theirs not minding that they were playing against Brazilian team.

The match between Argentina and the Netherlands has only started for a few minutes, I am here to see a very tense match again after watching the previous match

I just hope history doesn't repeat itself, I'm talking about year 1974 and 1998.
But the way the game is currently going I believe that Argentina will come out victorious

There is absolutely no way that we could have predicted Croatia to win. I know some people said that it was a "possibility" and I agree that it was a possibility but it wasn't the likely thing to happen, it was just a possibility. Like people basically said "brazils win is not guaranteed, Croatia has a chance too" as in like there is a %10-20 chance they might win, but nobody said they were the favourites or anything, that's not possible and nobody saw that possibility. And as usual, when something is "possible", as in a third division team could also beat Real Madrid for example, that type of possible, it does happen from time to time. This was a higher possibility of course, but still, just a tiny possibility and it happened, good for them.

Croatia played smart they baited Brazil into only having a couple back.  How can Brazil get caught like that with minutes to go, it was a game long strategy to bait them up front.  Brazil got caught and Croatia knew they probably had the advantage once they got to pks. Gotta hand it to them they could have packed it in after the Newmar goal.

It was just a strategy and they handled it real good. Else, in what world were we going to see a Croatian team, being favourites ahead of Brazil.
These guys came to the pitch today with one intent and that is, to put Brazil under pressure, force them to there halve and have them defending until the last minute of the match.
Sadly, all seemed lost in extra time after Neymar scored his goal. I think the Brazil coach made a mistake by thinking he could defend it, bringing in A. Sandra, Fred and others. This was just one way to pit his side under more pressure and the Croatian team never gave up on there plan. They've managed it so far to win 2 penalty shootouts and another top team has been sent home, Brazil out!

Indeed, it is no longer an easy game to predict, with the way smaller teams are defeating the supposed big teams, it is really surprising.
Netherlands and Argentina are playing currently and from the odds stake.com, I can tell that alot of people are so confused as to which team to put their bet on, on a normal basis, alot of bet would have gone to Argentina because we all believe that they are the better team, but right now odds on both of the team are almost the same, Croatia's defeating Brazil today is really hitting hard on gamblers, we can no longer trust the big teams anymore, gamblers are confused.

Yes, regular time I also favored Argentina but if it ended through a penalties then I could not choose because so far there have been 2 surprises through a penalties

Now that Brazil, have been disqualifying from the world cup it is clear that Netherlands players will have to put in more effort to stay in the world cup in tonight's match, this stage of the world cup is the knockout stage and many countries are already an exiting quata back home after their knocked out of the world cup.

The favorite is out and the odds change a lot now. Who will be world champion? I think currently it looks like this: Morocco 5%, Croatia 5%, Holland 5%, Portugal 15%, Argentina 20%, England 25%, France 25%. Tomorrow's match between England and France will be a very good one, both teams are strong enough to win the title. Portugal has too much trouble withRonaldo and Argentina… I saw in game 1 against Saudi Arabia and that was very bad.

after the surprise defeat by Brazil to Croatia I hope Argentina does not experience the same thing.
now Argentina's match against the Netherlands is underway and Argentina has won 1 goal in the first half, but even though they have excelled it doesn't guarantee they will be able to win this match easily after seeing the resistance given by the Dutch players is quite balanced even in the first round the Dutch were away able to master pertamdigan but so far they have not been able to break through the dense defense of Argentina.

That Argentina is a goal ahead now doesn't mean it will stay the same, the game is far from over remembering that Brazil still scored a goal first before the Croatian equalizer. Netherlands has had more possession in the  first half with no shot on goal, the difference in this game has been Messi with that very good pass that Molina finishes very well. The Dutch defenders need to understand that Messi is not the only threat they have in the Argentina front, so they should as they focus on not trying to give him space, they should also focus on other younger talented players that Messi can give the ball to knowing he has all the attention.

Today, I think that winning trophies and assembling a team of world-class players are not the only ways to play football. Sometimes, even average players can succeed through clever play and good management. I think that in today's game, 70% of people would unquestionably pick Brazil to advance to the world cup semifinals since they have the team, but in the end, Croatia was in the semi-finals, waiting to face either Argentina or the Netherlands. However, both Croatia and Brazil played well in my opinion, with Croatia playing a particularly strong defensive style in the second half. Croatia took advantage of their one short on goal which lead to draw while Brazil had more than short on goals but only one was converted to goal.but at last it end up in penalty shot out which later in favor of Croatia.. France game tomorrow will be a strong detergent factor of what to expect, if France get qualified for the finals tomorrow then the chances of other team's like Morocco having a good chance in the world cup will be slim because France is one of the defending champions of the cup.

Everything has been going according to plan for Croatia until minutes ago in the first half of extra time. Am actually amazed at the performance of the Croatian team in normal time.buy I don't know how they let Neymar Jnr start this run, make these touches and carried it all the way to the goalkeepers box, beat the goalkeeper and finds the back of the net. It was just brilliant from Neymar Jnr and let alone as much as i don't want to blame the goalkeeper Livakovic, I think he went down too early. His been on top of his goalkeeping so far and his defenders di let him down in this one.

I'm awaiting England vs France tomorrow. Does anyone else feel like this is going to be 1 of the better matches of The World Cup? I was really impressed with Mbappe during the Poland vs France match and rooting on France to win The World Cup this time around.

Possibly France might get to win England tomorrow but I think that's as far as they can go. It's very unlikely they would be keeping the cup this time. Brazil remains some good contender for that. Although, they aren't showing much aggression in there game at the moment but, they are a team that awakes to challenges.

Now that Brazil is out what do you think? I'm not a French citizen or anything, I just like the story of Mbappe and the French team. I think Argentina just became the huge favorite of the teams left but I'm still pulling for France.

This leads more pressure on Netherlands against the Argentina. The Brazilian team neglected their opponent and that is why they suffered defeat during the penalty kick. How can you have a goal in the 105th minute and you want to attack instead of blocking your defence line. If you observed Neymar after he scored the goal he was no longer attacking you was tactically delaying.

Don't get happy so fast about Argentina scoring first, have you forgotten what happened here?

It is the same soil and stadium Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia on there first game after scoring first, they lost by two goals.

It will also be the first time in the Fifa World Cup Netharland has lost in the first half, they are looking clueless at most when attacking Argentina. Van Gal want to add the World Cup to the list of trophies he has won.

I am waiting for those who will make excuses for Brazil losing. When Spain lost to Morocco, we saw excuses everywhere now Brazil is leaving Qatar I just hope their bus shouldn't be attacked again by Irate fans. The match against Netherlands with Argentina, the Argentina will win with one hand. It’s like an onside game, Messi is still their in second half to score some goal. The match of Croatia against Brazil was interesting match today. Because both team was scored of 1 goal. So it mean both the team had the chance of winning the match. Croatia had waste the 4 penalty option to score the goals. Brazil had proved their experience with the 2 penalty and one goal. So the usage of the chance was not the same one for the game by the people who involved in the gambling. Most of the players made a huge difference in this game of gambling.

It was an ingenious pass from Messi, certainly one of his quality and nothing like you see in football every other day. It makes you wonder just how could he find Molina from that angle and cut through the line of defence that were building about him and there box. Good enough, Molina didn't disappoint him by ensuring he scored the goal and have Messi get his assist.
Netherland has been impressive as well, they've got most of th possessions, passes and could be said to be dominating the match for now but, they've got no go to show for it or any serious attack on goal. I think Argentina will go through the this one.
