Things could happen, but it looks very difficult for Morocco to pull off such a miracle. We also have to be realistic when looking at potential opponents who will be their next opponents, including Portugal. And even if they can beat Portugal they will still face other strong countries, so I think if that is to happen to them then goddess fortune has to be with them all the time.
To be honest, I can't say that France will be the champion, in fact many countries that were originally seeded are slowly dropping, something that is very likely to happen to France as well.
I personally imagine how interesting it would be if Portugal and Argentina would meet in the final.

Tomorrow is a big game in the World Cup. When two giants meet each other, this would be the biggest test yet for Argentina and Nederland
This is probably my favorite quarter final game. This is the World Cup I would like to see Messi win. If Nederland plays a good game then it won’t be embarrassing for them but I am sure that Argentina would give a master class and win the game.

Portugal had better go on without Ronaldo in the starting eleven.    It doesn't seem like they need him anymore.

In the end Switzerland weren't a small team against Portugal but Portugal just demolished them by a score like 6-1. Goncalo Ramos didn't find much chance in the previous matches actually. Because of that it was a really interesting choice by Fernando Santos. However Ramos proved how much correct choice it was by showing an incredible performance with a hat-trick and an assist also. Ramos is a player who has grown from Benfica's youth team and he is already a very important player for his team. He is a very productive striker there already.

I think he will be in the starting eleven again instead of Ronaldo against Morocco also. Morocco had better be prepared well because they won't have a similar experience to the Spain match obviously.  

Maybe they wanted to test if they can do without Ronaldo or not Ramos was the star of the day - it was surprising to know that he is only 21

Fernando Santos must have definitely wanted to test him. Because Ronaldo's performance level wasn't satisfying enough so he wanted some change in this position. He must be very satisfied with this change now and he might even continue to play in the starting eleven even if they qualify for the finale. Ronaldo shouldn't be unhappy with this decision because he must also be aware of his inadequate performance for the team. Portugal can't take big risks by being stubborn about starting with Ronaldo from now on if they aim the title.

It is Ronaldo's last World Cup run maybe but he is still a part of this team even if he starts from the subs. He is still a very valued leader among the players undoubtedly.

There's nothing wrong with that if indeed they can't play openly and keep up with Portugal's game then defending is the solution as they played against Spain in the last 16.

LOL, Switzerland losing 6:1 to Portugal is a indeed a surprise to me as well, I am participating in a world cup voting game hosted by one of this crypto exchanges, when the vote for who would win between Portugal and Switzerland came up, I intended voting for Switzerland but mistaken clicked on Portugal and that was it, vote was recorded, I was regretting the mistake but was indeed surprised when I later came online and discovered that Portugal won by a whole 6 to 1 goal, it was amazing indeed.

And speaking of Croatia verses Brazil tomorrow, I am also predicting that Brazil would win, except fate decide to give us another thing to be surprised about, 2022 World Cup has been full of surprises anyway.

Portugal's win over Switzerland was actually not too surprising but it was the score that made this a surprise because I personally was quite sure Portugal would win in the last 16 phase but for the score which was indeed extraordinary this was clearly a surprise.
But on the other hand, judging from their game and the composition of the players currently there, it is quite natural that they are playing this well because their players are really good from an individual point of view because they are above average.

I think Croatia Team won't give a tough time to Brazil Team. Brazil Team have more chances to win. Maybe Croatia can get a chance to take advantage of quick counter-attacks. Because the Brazilian National Team is studded with stars. Also Neymar have recovered. Brazil is the strongest national team at tournement at now.

Certainly, Croatia have a chance to win against Brazil. But for that they have to play their best football. Croatia has a track record of playing at its best when it is under pressure, when it is up against a tough opponent. Raheem Sterling coming back to the squad will be good news to some fans especially the Chelsea fans to see one of their star players. I can't quite pick a side in this game because both sides are good and are star studded it's a little difficult to predict which side will win, to me it's a 50:50 chance. Luis Enrique to Real Madrid is unlikely to happen, Real Madrid are not the Luis Enrique type anyways.

Netherlands will be on the defensive in the game, and defending that much mean that they should be able to absorb the pressure or face the consequences.

The chances of Croatia wining Brazil is very very slim. Very slim because Brazilian squad is so rich and also experienced and are also younger than Croatia squad and as such they will have more energy to run the whole time. Injury is trying to destabilise the Brazilian team but the squad is so rich that injury cannot affect it.

In theory, it may be true that Croatia seems to have a small chance to win against Brazil. But it is a football match, sometimes there is a surprise or unpredictable result. Even Brazil has more energic players (young players) and all of them are top players who are on fire currently. It doesn't mean they automatically win the match. If Brazil coach chooses the wrong tactic or the players can't play effectively and not confidently, they can lose the match. Don't forget that Croatia is the finalist in the world cup tournament in 2018 (France vs Croatia).

We are used to watching a game every day, it felt strange when there were no matches for two days. I couldn't find anything to watch on TV. Friendly matches are not very enjoyable.
Fortunately, the break is over and the quarter-finals are starting. First Brazil and then Argentina are the favorites of the day. The probability of surprises after this round is low, because the teams that come here are of good quality.
I think Brazil will win without much difficulty. But in the next match, the Netherlands will push Argentina well. Maybe we can see a game going into extra time. Of course, if Messi works his magic, Argentina can easily win the match. It will be a big test for the blues.

Thats not the same team if you ask me, what they had 4 years ago is not the same as what they have today. Also, it is possible for Croatia to go all the way of course, unlikely, but "possible". However, I believe that them going all the way is not depending just on playing well, but also Brazil playing worse than they normally do. If that happens then we would have a chance of them losing to Croatia for playing badly, but Brazil playing well enough like they normally do would beat even the best version of Croatia and that is why its not enough, it would require one to play amazingly while the other playing worse than they usually do to make it happen.

That's it. Morocco will try to play penalties and will count on Bounou to save them some penalties which is the best option. However, the Portugal team is aware of that tactics that was used vs Spain so they will counter it in a way or another. They might use CR7 for free-kicks, Pepe for headers and the other forwarders to get a way to the goalkeeper. I expect Portugal to play in half field of Morocco while the others waiting for a counter attack. It is good to see Morocco advancing, it will be a historical moments for African nations but I am worried it will not be easy at all

From the very beginning we've encountered series of unexpected results. This have created a mentality of going with the underdogs to make big wins. Because, in a match that doesn't have very small chance of winning finally makes history. Here the odds are interesting. It is almost the same odds of Morocco against Spain. The match was seriously surprising and funny because I wasn't expecting  much goals to happened in the match played against Portugal and Switzerland.the 6:1 is too much for Portugal to defeated Switzerland because Switzerland is also a strong team at other side to Portugal. So with this goals I believe Portugal will do something great in their next match against Morocco but I believe even goals happen I don't think it will be that much like Portugal match against Switzerland.

In other hand I know Morocco will like to play a defensive game against Portugal, but what will be the problem is that Portugal also have sharp attacker which will be more trouble to Morocco, if truly they play defensive match with Portugal. I can't wait to watch the match if that miracle will keep following Morocco or Morocco are also keeping good squad. I am see that day.

I also with you and I think at the end the chances of winning is much better for Brazil against Croatia but I will also not underestimate Croatia because the had a strong mid field defence base But even with that I think they have to be under pressure in front of top class attacker's like Richarlison, Neymar, Vinicius, Rapinha. Moreover, as many times as Brazil and Croatia have played matches so far, Croatia has not won even one. Now let's see if Brazil can hold this consistency.
