How did you miss out the record world cup champions Brazil? Or even the likes of Argentina?
I am a Germany backer, but please, your poll does not represent what the world cup stands for.

When we talk about Germany, that is a team that can become world champions but occasionally has really bad matches lately. That wouldn't have happened a few years ago. In Brazil they became world champions and pulverized Brazil with big numbers. 4 years ago in Russia they didn't even make it through the group stage and that was a complete fail. They will want to take revenge. At the European Championship in England they lost to England, but they all played home games. This Germany can also beat anyone. Will be a serious showdown in the group stage against Spain. There they lost 5-0 a while ago? from. And if you come in 2nd in the group, you automatically play against a number 1 from another group. That can be a very difficult draw with a bit of bad luck.

I want to talk about the rules in Qatar for visitors who got use to have a lot of outside the stadium brfore or after and during matches, we got use to hooligans and European fans that drinks a lot of alcohol and go to the stadium, i want to say that this year in Qatar it’s different, drinking might be limited or even forbidden in public places some hotels may give some limited drinks for each person.
Also there will be no much women for fun and free sex Xd, Qatar is an islamic county and all inappropriate scenes and behaviors will be totally forbidden. The question is will the fans have fun like that with this inhabituel rules

I love this all as big teams and players are doing things like this but here we have a big issue who cares in a world where money is power, and they can do things with this even many Western countries are also feeling not good about them and their record in Human rights and other things, but they are still doing business and have contracts specially few months back we have a big deal which was supposed to be not done but still done, and now Newcastle United is under an Arab business which is famous for his mafia and target killings and most chances he is also going to be King of Kingdom Saudi Arab.

UEFA nations are going to play in this world cup but still showing faith with this all victims are good but believe me nothing is going to change this world could be live like this for big mafias and money lover.

If they cared about human rights so much, then the tournament would have never been hosted by Qatar. The decision to grant Qatar hosting rights for 2022 World Cup will be like a permanent blot in the history of FIFA. And if you guys remember, back in 2010 Qatar won the bidding by bribing a number of the delegates from Asia, Africa and Oceania. And even when it was revealed that Qatar engaged in bribing the FIFA refused to take any action against them. On the other hand, they were very quick to expel Russia and Belarus over the war in Ukraine.

We all know how things going in current world and why they are doing things like these as after end of Cold War now we have many wars which are going around the globe and every one is going with his partners and interests just because of this Western block helps Qatar and have no objections how things are going into this all region with no doubt we have few countries like Oman and Israel countries but still things are not easy for them as well this all region is having long history of conflicts and wars.

Recently what happen in Europe this is also important because Russia and Belarus out of European community very quickly, but they never do things like these against Israel because they are also involved in things like same which done by these two why they are silent and not doing powerful restrictions this all hypocrisy and ego's war going to end in negativity.

you yourself have already pointed out the disasters that germany has been, honestly i do not see germany as a candidate team to win the world cup and i doubt that germany can get far, something like reaching the semi finals, for this world cup france, brazil and argentina are the favorite teams to win this world cup in my opinion. teams like germany and spain and african teams and some other teams have little chance of getting far, the only teams that i consider strong enough to get far are the 3 teams i mentioned that are argentina, france and brazil

it's important to them, "whoever is going to visit in person to watch the world cup in Qatar" if, they don't want things like many other members say. then, they don't have to come to visit Qatar even on this visit, to watch the world cup.

Great stuff mate here I completely agree with your all statement no one is forcing anyone to go Qatar and enjoy this all event because of their domestic rules and laws which are not allowing many things which are not suitable for peoples which are living in free world so just keep away and enjoy this all from your home by telecast because this is surely the simplest action which you need to do for this world cup which is first time going to be played in any Islamic country which is having conservative laws and not bringing any soft policies for this event.

But keep one thing in mind in Qatar we have thousands of tourists which are visiting every year and enjoying without any problem because they are completely obeying rules which are strictly implemented by authorities, so life is keep going and just feel easy and enjoy without this live event.

I checked the odds from various sportsbooks and Germany doesn't seems to be one of the favorites. Brazil and Argentina are ahead by a big margin and then France is a distant third. Spain is another country that is being regarded as favorites along with England. Other than any of these five countries, I don't think that anyone else is having a realistic chance of winning the world cup this time. Italy has failed to even qualify and teams such as Belgium, Netherlands are not in good shape at the moment.

Good things also comes to an end, is that the end of his career ? Off course not. He'll continue to be a too and world class Goal Keeper.
It's been announced already, the 55 man list brought out by Luis Enrique doesn't include David De Gea and if I'm also correct Sergio Ramos. David De Gea has been in a good form since the arrival of Lisandro Martinez at Manchester United, some sentimental behaviors from Luis Enrique, David should have been included. It's room for him to keep fit for Manchester United then.

Yeah.. the poll doesn't make any sense since the favorite teams are not there. How can anyone exclude Brazil? Argentina's case is debatable, but there is no doubt that they are the only team capable of challenging Brazil at this moment. And now coming to the UEFA teams, none of them are in good shape. Some of the top teams, such as Germany, France and England performed pathetically during the recently concluded UEFA Nations League A. England actually got relegated to the UEFA Nations League B.

Yes it is the first time where people gathering from all over the world will not be allowed to drink alcohol because of those traditions.The Qatar normally is missing out on a lot of money to be made here but they have money I believe for eternity because they are one of the richest countries in the world so they don't care much.

For the betting though,that is absolutely right,during such event even those people who are not regular gamblers because of the widespread of the event some time they bet little money.My colleagues which don't gamble at all during all year usually they bet on this event for fun and to watch the games and the team they support with more emotions.

If they don't organize it properly, then this "first time" can easily become the "last time". World cup is not a platform where the hosts are allowed to impose their political views and preferences over the fans. Host nations need to treat tourists and fans with respect, because they will be spending huge amounts of money in the country while the tournament gets going. In the previous editions, Russia (2018) and Brazil (2014) successfully ensured that the fans don't face any issues or difficulties. I am not that sure about Qatar this time.

I would not completely agree with you.
I assume that you made your opinion based on the last results of Germany, Spain, England in the League of Nations, but it is a less important competition and the coaches used those matches as preparations for the World Cup.
The World Cup is a very difficult, tiring and uncertain competition. The world champion has to go through 7 very difficult games, in the group and in the knockout phase of the competition, and the champion becomes a team that has a uniform and experienced team, that knows how to play under pressure and is mentally strong.
That is why the chances of Germany, and also of England, Belgium, Spain, Holland etc.  should not be ignored.

Yes, now many say Portugal can speak more in this edition of the World Cup. I also never check this poll and now today first time check this thread is also having poll, and it's showing funny stuff with Italy is also in winners list, and we have no Brazil and Argentina which is surely giving impression that OP feeling world cup is again going into Europe as they are controlling this all for last two decades, but things are completely different with Italy is out and Brazil and Argentina both emerged as hot favorite teams for this event.

As we all know it's first event which is going to play in Gulf region and things are currently not good for many teams and fans, so we can expect big upsets as well which is surely not new because we already have many surprises and big teams can eliminate without any big concern so who is going to win this prediction is never easy.
